Love your videos! I had an abusive marriage. When I escaped I started my minimalist journey. That was 15 yrs ago. I now live in a 14x60 trailer and I'm living my best life! I am so happy! I started watching your videos and I know I'm on the right path for me. Thank you! Keep those videos coming!!
Another "C" word...Contentment. Being thankful and ok with what you have has been huge for me on this journey. Love your thoughts on limiting social media. I can really see its influences on one of my grown daughters. She has caviar wishes on a spam budget lol. Keep up the great videos.
I SO LOVE your content and your attitude and mindset! People would be shocked at how little it takes to make them happy (things). Managing less "inventory" is so freeing. You can only use one cup at a time, wear one shirt at a time, etc. Thank You Ronald for what you do!
You hit the nail on the head with that statement Mary: “Managing less inventory is so freeing.” I agree with you 100%. Thanks for calling this out in this way. Also I love that you’re loving my content. Thanks for being part of this community!
Another vote for "I love all your videos"! I think long time followers can understand that it's not just about what we want to see from you, but now that you have a wee one to care for and enjoy, this is the type of video you need to produce right now to balance family and work. Hope you have wonderful holidays! Thanks as always for the encouragement and the lessons.
Thank you for posting! My husband and I have been swimming against the current for 13 years with our 12 year old daughter. It is hard to keep going and stay true to our values. I appreciate that there are others staying true to who they are. It is a tough journey but we are seeing the results in our daughter. We feel less crazy as well.
Great watch and agree with the majority. Minimalism certainty gave a great uplift to my life. Though the money your saving in the process, dont just not spend it, spend that on activities and life experiences, massively important to a fulfilled life, its there to be spent still, but definitely not on the unneeded latest gadget.
Courage... I feel like this is something that goes hand in hand with confidence. I feel like while confidence is something I've developed and worked on for a long time, consistency is harder. Moving onto a different set of habits and routines is hard because once you become familiar with something, you tend to stick with it. I'm currently in the midst of trying to become more consistent with some changes in my finances so that I can eventually move in with my boyfriend, and while I have slowed down my consumption a lot, budgeting is something I've never really taken seriously; I'm wanting to change that. Thank you for making this very insightful video, Ronald!
I keep trying to become a minimalist but man it is so tough. I'm not going to give up because since it is so tough I can see that this is addiction. Same with social media....ugh. Thank you for the tips.

I love your videos, Im just starting on a journey to declutter my life. I wont say full on minimalism.. but I find a lot of what you say really resonates with what I want to achieve. Thank you for the messages you give, both on how to start and the encouragment to keep going.
Hello Ronald (from Queensland) I am loving your videos and I share them with several people. I enjoy this style of video, it's like a heart to heart conversation from you. I'm a minimalist who has become "90%" hardcore in the last few months... Your videos of wisdom has helped incredibly. I'm on my last 'lap' now with your encouragement. Thank you SO much for all of your help!
I need to consistently review your videos. The laid back approach as well as your nervous humble beginnings are all good, because regardless your messages are informative and can be life changing for the better. Thank you.
Love the setup and organization of the recent videos. Your pacing is excellent and it allows for some short intimate/deep thoughts to occur without overthinking.
Always enjoy your videos. I need the reinforcement in my life … that’s why I listen to these over and over. Sometimes you say things in New ways, then they seem to sink in even more
Such a helpful video. I feel myself falling for the trap of buying more and my house is filling up. I really want to turn this around. Your videos are very inspiring and helpful.
When buying think about do you already have something that serves the same use/Purpose. Like if you see a cute coffee mug do you already have a perfectly fine set of mugs. If you see clothes you want to buy, ask yourself do you own something similar. Ask yourself if the item is better than brings more joy, then item you already have. See a cute pair of sneakers ask do you already own a perfectly good pair is it really needed if you only got a ripped-up pair at home maybe it's time for replacement but if you got a few in your closet put them down leave them on the store shelf.
Love your videos and the new laid back style. I'm listening to my mentor/teacher/friend talk about things that I need to hear. I'm trying to swim against that current but I'm tired, but watching your videos give me inspiration to get back in and swim up stream. Thank you!
Great video. I have been vegan for over a decade and I don't know any other vegans. I have been minimalist going on three years and I don't know any other minimalists. I am truly one to go against the current but I never considered it as having courage. I already have a twin I don't have a need to fit in and follow other people.
I like the podcast style because I can have it on while I’m working/doing housework, etc and your voice is nice and you have an important message. I actually “emptied my cart” (mostly) while listening to this, so you are right about “becoming what you listen to”
I'm enjoying this style of video. I have made a lot of progress in purging my life to make it simpler, but still have a long way to go. So much thanks and appreciation for your inspiration!
Thank you for your words today. Very insightful and I will be applying them to my personal journey. Love the new relaxed style videos. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for all that you do! 😊

Love your videos I also like that their short and to the point so I can watch them anytime when I have a moment love the minimalist but I only listen to them at night before bed because it's kind of long they do have short ones LOL
I've managed to pretty much stop things coming in (indeed, I'm embarking on a no-buy year for 2023) but I feel I've kinda plateau'd in moving things out. I've minimised a lot of aspects of my life, but not everything. Some of the things that remain are going to be quite a bit of work to get rid of in a sensible and intentional way. Hey Ronald! Something I struggle with when tryin to move closer towards a more minimal life is decluttering. I have such a hard time throwing away items. I tend to want to try to sell my belongings of value (not everything just some things) but then it sits and waits for me to make the time to photograph and post etc. Do you have any tips for that?
Hey Mr. Ron! Yours is the first minimalism RUclips Channel I came across about a year ago, and I have learned so much from you, so THANK YOU!......Since then, I have given away a lot of stuff and have also cleared out a lot of paper in my home office files. But my question is, it seems that some people equate minimalism with neutral colors like grays and beiges (such as yourself)🙂. Let me apologize in advance if my question seems weird, but do you think that a lot of bright colors can contribute to mental clutter?
Hey Golden! First thanks for being part of this community. I appreciate you being here and watching my content for about a year now. PLUS I see you’ve made progress with your own clutter! That’s awesome!! Ok, your question is very valid, and it’s not weird at all. It’s one area I disagree with other minimalist on, actually. Minimalism is not a color palette. We often see it depicted with very neutral colors and furniture because those things/colors are generally easier to mix and match than bright colors, and neutral tends to create a more visually calm space. However, it is possible for your space to feel sterile and cold if you don’t find the right balance for you! That said, a very colorful space works the exact same way. Brights colors can contribute to visual noise and clutter, which can have an impact on your mental space and create mental clutter. BUT you have to find the right balance that works for you, without going overboard to the point where it starts to impact your mental space. If someone enjoys colors and patterns, I believe they should decorate their home as so. That doesn’t mean use every color imaginable, but there are ways to incorporate the colors you love into your space in a way that doesn’t create more clutter while still ensuring your space is an environment you feel accurately reflects you. My wife and I have a neutral color palette in our home because those are colors we genuinely like. As a kid my favorite color was “earth tones.” I’ve always gravitated towards neutrals and greenery. The thing to remember is that minimalism is a tool not the end goal. I hope that helps and answers your question! If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask! Keep growing on your journey!
Hi Ronald and thank you. Since its holday season this issue comes up around receiving gifts. I have been pretty minimalist for a long time and do constantly work on it. But, this time of year I end up receiving gifts I don't need and often don't even like. I know its the thought that counts etc. and I don't want to end up with things I sometimes feel hostage to keeping because of the relationship and/or thought behind it. I've tried various ways to deal with this from keeping the gift for a period of time then letting it move on to asking for no gifts to most recently asking for only perishiable gifts. I have to say none of this has worked very well. I'm wondering how you deal with this? Thanks for the videos. Really appreciated.
