Well, 240 likes in about an hour? I think we can do it, people - also, Count of Tuscany or the full Scenes From a Memory Pt. 2 (yeah, the full concept album could be a complete series for you!)
@@ogulcanyolcu8714 He should listen to the more classic ones first. Since he likes groove, cant believe no one is actually requesting Pull Me Under. Thats maybe the first song someone should listen from them.
The Count of Tuscany has all the elements of a thrilling, engaging, adventure story. It's scary, dangerous, uplifting and when it's over, there's a sense of overwhelming peace in me.
A huge suggestion for dream theater is “under a glass moon” live in Tokyo 1993. That was the song that got me to pick up the guitar, huge talent and the singer still hadn’t lost his voice by that point
suggestion for next Dream Theater reaction: The Dark Eternal Night not as fast paced as this, but as heavy and a bit darker love your genuine reaction, looking forward to watch your other reactions!
If you're liking technical metal, you should check out "The Space For This" by Cynic. I don't listen to much Dream Theater but Panic Attack has always been a song I like a lot so I'm glad you checked this out. Good reaction!
The Glass Prison, or Shattered Fortress. Both are part of a complex, multi-album song by the former drummer, Mike Portnoy and his struggle with getting sober. Highly recommend just listening to every Dream Theater song, ever. Do it. New Sub here. Keep it up!
When you get to it, you have to listen to their album Metropolis Pt.2 as a whole. It's an entire theatrical album with a story and each song flawlessly flows into the next. It's one of their best albums.
Literally got hooked on Dream Theater thanks to Rock Band 2 back in 2008. Still one of my favorite bands. Would recommend A Nightmare to Remember or The Count Of Tuscany next!!!
As other people have mentioned, The glass prison is another great track but listening to the whole 12 step suite together is what really makes each track shine imo. I also recommend checking out Six degrees of inner turbulence, The count of Tuscany, A nightmare to remember and pretty much every track on the Train of thought album since you seem to enjoy the heavier songs.
The Glass Prison or The count of tuscany... both are so different but epic as hell. Love your channel man... grettings from the other side of the world: CHILE.
You could to react to "Liquid Tension Experiment". A project formed by some Dream Theater members. It's a instrumental band, totally insane. I suggest the song "Acid Rain". Greetings from 🇧🇷
I just subbed and went through your metal reactions, and i appreciate you going in deep with these two epics, but I think you're due for a solid heavy track. You can't go wrong with any of these. The ones with live versions are awesome and I know you like live versions, but the studio versions are great too. The Shattered Fortress - Live from the Boston Opera House Honor Thy Father This Dying Soul - Live at Budokan
DT are one of my fav bands ever easily. Got some suggestions: The Count Of Tuscany (my fav DT song) Honor Thy Father The Glass Prison 6:00 Another Day Metropolis pt 1 and full album p2 Disappear Space Dye Vest Barstool Warrior Pale Blue Dot The Bigger Picture The Enemy Inside Build Me Up, Break Me Down Beneath The Surface Stay safe dude! 🤘🤘👍
If you like Dream Theater, there's a much more obscure and lesser known band called Unexpect you'd probably enjoy. Imagine Dream Theater's progressive style turned into a Picasso painting. As the band name implies, you really have no clue what's coming next. Basically any song is a good place to start I think, but I'd recommend Mechanical Phoenix, The Quantum Symphony, Words, or really anything from the "Fables of the Sleepless Empire" album. One of the most interesting and insanely talented bands I've ever found!
Between the buried and Me! White Walls or anything off of Colors if you like proggy stuff. it’s like Dream theatre but with Harsh vocals at times, the Cleans are absolutely incredible too.
The frequent time signature changing impart a feeling of unease, as if you can't quite find your balance...as intended. I'll say it again..."Dark Eternal Night" is the tune if you want heavy DT. It will hurt your feelings!
Yeah you could listen to Prison, Nightmare, or Tuscany: all brilliant! But the one truest and most pure DT song is In the Presence of Enemies part 1 and 2. The intro is a trip
Love you're getting into DT with iconic songs, you should check The count of tuscany someday, it's beautiful. but, I want to recomend something outside from DT. "Nocturne" from Tesseract and some instrumental like "Cascade" or "Salt + Charcoal" from Plini. Keep it going, love your channel!
First time hearing this- rocking out to it at ten past one in the morning, and this really kicks arse. I like those buzzing riffs ripping it out with the fast beat percussion. Awesome solos hat twist and turn- the change of riffs, major surges and charges. And the constant energy urgency plummeting throughout the song really do convey the sense of hard hitting anxiety to the senses. I agree with the "Waves" reference- very good way of putting it. I like Dream Theater's slightly shorter, punchier tracks that also showcase their heavier side and this one is a class example of that.
Check out Viper King from their newest album. It's short, catchy, and I'm still finding little hidden gems every time I listen to it. (little guitar lick in 2nd chorus is my favorite)
Great video and song choice Drew. If you're wanting heavier DT songs, set your sights on their 7th album "Train of Thought". My humble song suggestion would be "Endless Sacrifice". Keep it up, really enjoy your channel.
I love the aspect of prog where you don't quite know what to do with yourself on first listen but begin to learn as you listen to it more and it slowly unfolds. Very rewarding feeling.
You have to do Instrumedley. I guarantee you it will blow your mind!!! . . . . There is a multi-angle video here on yt showing each band member throughout the whole medley.
Hey Drew, lots of DT album are concept so quite a lot of the songs in them are better by listening to the whole thing, just something to keep in mind even if you go for individual songs. Like the album Six Degrees of inner Turbolence wich explore various themes of lifetime struggle and various forms of mentall illness, there is even the Twelve-step Suite wich is a set of 5 songs form different albums, like The Glass Prison as the first
This album was heavily influenced by Muse…if you listen with that filter , you will hear some of that influence. I love Dream Theater because they are never too proud to admit who they are inspired by. Great humility and confidence!
I'll continue my shouting out for you to check out Mastodon, their tracks Halloween, Jaguar God or The Last Baron for starters. Oh man, you like guitar riffs and groove, Mastodon have them both in loads :) Halloween is a great jumping off point, the last two albums have cleaner vocals and are, dare I say it, easier listening :) than the earlier stuff. Jaguar God is the kind of music that I didn;t think got made anymore and The Last Baron has a real beauty of a riff.
Everyone I've seen has been dropping oldies, but if you're looking for shorter, but heavy, give "Pale Blue Dot" a try! Off the latest album, amazing live!
Challenge Accepted: 1,000 likes in 24 hours for DREAM THEATER?🤞🏼 last one hit like 950+ so this one can definitely do it people let’s go🔥
you should react to Trial of Tears, or Blind Faith. Let's get out of famous songs, the deeper the better. Believe me.
One that has been never mentioned and it is fast, progressive, metal. React to THE SHATTERED FORTRESS
Pull me under is a wicked song. Please react to that one :)
Also see people asking for Glass Prison that has to be on the list!
YEEEEES
The SHATTERED FORTRESS !! A Must un DREAM THEATER Journey
THE COUNT OF TUSCANY - It has everything that makes a Dream Theater Song Amazing and it's not too long...
I second this, Drew! Please PLEASE listen to this one!
I mean, it is their fourth longest song... but sure, it's awesome, so I suppose it's not too long.
Yes another vote for this
I mean, it's way shorter than Six Degrees Part 2 put together. :D
The Count of Tuscany has all the elements of a thrilling, engaging, adventure story. It's scary, dangerous, uplifting and when it's over, there's a sense of overwhelming peace in me.
You should react to the glass prison
This right here
@@meleeruler YEEES!!!!
And THE SHATTERED FORTRESS !
Yes!
Glass Prison or The Count of Tuscany! Absolutely brilliant tracks.
THE GLASS PRISON!!!!
Glass Prison! it's my personal favorite
Both of the tracks are a must. A nightmare to remember is there too
Except the lyrics from The Count of Tuscany :P
@@alexandremarchand8815 I dunno, I quite like them. It's quite straight forward and stupid, but it does the job of telling the story
Take the time by dream theater is an insane track
I absolutely love the entire Images and Words album!!! I can’t figure out which is my favorite album, but I REALLY love the older albums.
I mean, the whole album is insane
Anything off Images and Words is classic
A NIGHTMARE TO REMEMBER
THE SHATTERED FORTRESS
The glass prision !!

I live with anxiety every day now for the last few months. The song captures it perfectly.
If u want heavier Dream Theater check out anything from the Train of Thought album, Id recommend the first track As I Am
My Favorite DT album!!
Stream of Consiusness
@@Djcimofficial Mine too. Classic.

Live at Budokan. Thank me later.
@@torjones-7 Listen to him live at bodokan dude! you would be in for a treat
A huge suggestion for dream theater is “under a glass moon” live in Tokyo 1993. That was the song that got me to pick up the guitar, huge talent and the singer still hadn’t lost his voice by that point
That was his worst vocal performance of that show though
Marcelo Henrique fair but the song undeniably slaps
@@the-groovelord cant argue that
suggestion for next Dream Theater reaction: The Dark Eternal Night
not as fast paced as this, but as heavy and a bit darker
love your genuine reaction, looking forward to watch your other reactions!
Great suggestion! One of their darkest songs and the best heavy outro I've heard in my life!
Let's throw Drew off the deep end 🤘🏻
If you're liking technical metal, you should check out "The Space For This" by Cynic. I don't listen to much Dream Theater but Panic Attack has always been a song I like a lot so I'm glad you checked this out. Good reaction!
Instrumedley (Live at Budokan) or Metropolis Pt.1, NO DOUBT!!!
Metropolis is Dope but maybe after the next one
The Glass Prison, or Shattered Fortress. Both are part of a complex, multi-album song by the former drummer, Mike Portnoy and his struggle with getting sober. Highly recommend just listening to every Dream Theater song, ever. Do it. New Sub here. Keep it up!

It's a very rare song for people to react to, but The Killing Hand live at the marquee. Make sure it's that one. You will be blown away.
