      I painted houses for years and years, mostly used Kelley Moore for spec houses and Sherwin Williams for custom builds. Got hurt a while back so now I'm selling paint. Benjamin Moore paint, I wish I had known more about it back then because there's very few things that I've found that are better than the BM equivalent.

    For me it comes down to 1. quality of their high production paint and 2. quality of the experience in the store. For #1, SW's ProMar 200 is just not nearly as fun to paint with as Ben Moore's UltraSpec. UltraSpec is just a great product for a great price. For #2, Benjamin Moore is owned by a local store here in north Texas, so I get the white glove treatment and the staff is experienced and super knowledgeable. Sherwin-Williams always feels pretty corporate, and they've botched a few of my orders already and seem generally lost when I visit the store.

    • @TribblePaintingCompany
      @TribblePaintingCompany  3 года назад +1

      Hi Hocine! Very tough question and one I'm not sure I could answer properly without a flood of questions. Alabaster has a LRV of 82, and White Dove is labeled as 85.38 so both of these paint colors will reflect a bunch of light and brighten up anything or any space they are applied to. Sherwin Williams claims on the website that Alabaster doesn't come across as yellow like White Dove can. Both of these paints are bright but neither of them are true white color.

    • @michaelallen7269
      @michaelallen7269 2 года назад +2

      Ben Moore in general is whiter then Sherwin Williams. As far as those two colors they are pretty close and sometimes it depends on which product you use. Regal might use a couple drops of gold and that’s it for white dove but for aura it might use a couple drops of gold and a drop or two of black.
      If you want to have fun with Sherwin Williams ask them to match Chantilly Lace Ben Moore 0C-65 to a perfect match they can’t do it because their paint can’t get white enough it comes out bluish or yellow.

  • @684gunsnroses

    Ben Moore is better paint and it all comes down to the technical data of the products

    • @684gunsnroses
      @684gunsnroses Год назад

      Sherwin Williams Emerald is Ben Moore a Regals equivalent however, they have just released an enhanced formula for Regal which has better coverage and even nicer to use. No other maker other than Ben Moore has anything equivalent or remotely close to their top of the line Aura which comes in a special Bath and Spa, Matte, Eggshell, Satin, and Semi Gloss at least what I sell it as at my retail store. As a paint specialist and my equipment I can mix any color by any company such as Sherwin Williams, Behr, Pittsburg Paints, True Value and more in my Ben Moore paints and my customers who have loved Sherwin Williams or Behr have switched over to the Ben Moore line because of something just as simple as this.

    • @TribblePaintingCompany
      @TribblePaintingCompany  3 года назад +3

      Many problems can occur on the site. We rely on our relationships with these paint companies because things can get a little wonky sometimes. Paint can fail, leading to issues when you least expect. Paint can also have a 'bad batches' and it's something that we would need to return with minimal downtime to our clients. Companies like Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore have put in so much research that we often rely on their expertise when a unique project comes along.

      When I had a simple problem with Sherwin I got no response and I think got deleted from their database. (Miss guide directions on which product from their store rep)
      But with Benjamin Moore, I was able to get all my paint (6) cans replaced for free. They would have came to my house if it wasnt for covid.
      I did argue about vauge instructions on the can since aura is particular picky if you aren't expecting it. Looking back it was probably my contractors fault and she knew it but gave it to me in good faith.
