Part of why misconceptions can spread is because there are no legitimate counters without nerds and TC. Raidou was legit f*cked and caused a stir. If TC isn't doing their job for Raiden then it's understandable how things blow out of proportion and misinformation spreads. Not the same as when people pop off about the nerfs and buffs that occur in beta. It's really a mixed bag as to how things will look until the character is finished and in the public's hands for testing and such.

1:27 I think this is an important point. A lot of us still engage ourselves in pull value content and discussions even though we’ve cleared the most difficult content. So it’s not about “I think this character is good and I’ve been clearing abyss since 1.0” because at that point you don’t belong to the audience that Zajef is targeting. It definitely took me a long time to realize that although I may not be proficient with spreadsheets etc. Once I cleared abyss it simply did not matter as I developed a decent enough understanding of the game. So those of you who are in this position, I hope you guys can figure out what your next goal is as a player when it comes to combat content and base your pulls accordingly.
I'm a day 1 player(dolphin), and since the start of this year I haven't had a problem 36 starring the abyss. It's ironic because I don't have alot of the super meta 5 stars (raiden, hutao, ganyu, venti) I just pulled the units that I liked (all the geo 5 stars, and some other 5 stars that I like here and there.) So I always encourage the "go for who you like, but build/play them in the most optimal way you can." It's what has worked for me, and I never burnout because I know I'm playing the game in a way that's the most fun for me.
If a character is really good in the story but leaves a bad taste in your mouth as you play, then I am not freaking pulling that character. That's the conclusion I have come to after 2 years of playing. It's not just Zajef's word, but also lots of trial on my part that helps me with my decisions whether the character is good or not.
Pretty much yeah, I always find it weird that some people really hate when Zajeff opinion doesn't align with their accounts, where I can see that his content always crater toward very new player all the time. For personal goal after I can comfortably full cleared every abyss rotations since I've got Ayaka to counter the Abyss Lector, I started partaking in using less characters to complete it. And it kinda incites my flame of excitement with the game. It still makes me crave for improving the same old characters that I have used since forever. For the context, it's 3x4* or 2x5* (or less) challenge And since I'm just a very low spender (day 1 player w/ 8 welkins), I have another goal in mind of wanting to own at least one c6 5* for solo'ing an entire abyss (comfortably), so I have saved 127k primo currently, looking for future characters to pull a c6 (if not Yelan haha).
Before Dendro released, I played these two with duo Hydro Electro teams because they are that fun together. With Hyperbloom, they became even more fun.
I'm so jealous of your Ayato. I've pre-farmed his materials and already spent all my 1k useless artifacts on a gladiator set for him (which were alll crap except the plumes and flower). Had I waited I would've definitely set him up with Thundering Fury right now.
the thing that happend between beidu and raiden is the same thing they did with ayato's c2, is written that namisen stack increase his hp by 50% of his MAX hp, but in reality it only increases it on his BASE hp, in ayato mains sub reddit epople were protesting but the myh whiteknight came in to police the protest and stopped us from bringing our concern to mhy
I'm still pissed to this day that Raiden and Beidou burst don't work together 😔 On the bright side, it's saved me a lot of money at least, I was ready to finally spend some money on the game when Raiden's banner first came out but the whole Raidou thing changed my mind so now I'm just staying F2P I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Tried almost every Raiden's team variation from rational, hypercarry, electro charge, hyperbloom, and aggravate, and all of them are so strong and can clear abyss easily but I can say my most favorite team is aggravate Raiden with Kazuha, Fischl, and Nahida
I've been having a lot more fun with hyperbloom Raiden team with Nahida and Kokomi over her usual build. I initially pulled for Raiden because I really that her skill would trigger on hit no matter the range so it pays off that it works so well for hyperbloom
Kuki is such an amazing unit now. Hyperbloom damage-wise, Raiden edges out Kuki because of how much faster her E procs. However, if you require a healer/shielder, Kuki would probably be the best as you don't need to slot in a healer/shielder that would otherwise take the place of a really strong sub dps. So in a Kuki hyperbloom team, everyone in your party deals a lot of damage, whereas in a Raiden team, more often than not you'll have one unit that will not do damage to provide healing/shielding
Yeah, swapping to Kuki in the middle of the rotation to refresh her skill is also not a problem because Nahida, XQ, Yelan team has no dedicated on-fielder, I can swap out from Nahida anytime I want. The extra damage that Raiden provides is not big enough to justify running a healer-less team.
@@vert7342 true, but just by virtue of not having to pull for a 5 star (raiden) for a competititive option, kuki is extremely good. For people who lack both raiden and nahida, nahida + kuki instead of raiden + some other dendro is a better bang for your buck for easy to build dendro teams.

And alot of people already have and built Raiden already, of which they can just toss EM artifacts on her and call it a day(If their Bennett is taken by the other side) If ur gonna roll Raiden specifically for hyperbloom, that would be unadvisable if you already have c2 Kuki ofc, that's just low returns.
Started playing kuki hyperbloom 3 days ago... She's level 40 rn while her other team members ( Xingqui mona and Dendro MC are lvl 70) and she still kills enemies for fun...i was honestly so shocked bruh
I switched to EM raiden more than a month ago and never looked back tbh. It's so much easier to build just triple EM plus now I have more EOSF pieces to give to my other characters
I find it the most versatile team for her. It's flexible in terms of hydro/dendro members you can field with her, and probably the biggest pros of this team is we finally can free Xinqui or Bennet for teams that needs them.
I thought everyone knew hyperbloom is just the best dendro reaction rn. I like playing it with ayato 100% burst uptime, Raiden, Nahida, Zhongli and basically just AFK clear stages AOE or single target, its so broken.
Agree!! I do hyperbloom in the deepwood domain with Nahida Raiden Zhongli and Kokomi. I put up their skills and climb the pillar and wait for them to die. I love it. AFK gaming!!

I think a big reason of why The Engulfing Lighting is so good is because while being the best damaging option for her electro teams, it ALSO gives her insane burst availability and more ER to her team all at once. The Engulfing straight up gives her 30% extra ER after she casts her bursts, which just feels so good. And this is just COMFORT compared to the fact that with every other weapon you kinda need to compromise between ATK and ER and not having her bursts up sucks. I think that when a weapon has the best damage AND big QoL improvements, its pull value increases. And that's why they fucking give it the worst weapon banners possible each time 😢
Contrary of Zafef recomend I would suggest to most ppl to get ELighning instead of const if they can save the primos for it. 1. Looks best on her. 2. At C0 + EL she can smash everything anyway so you dont need C2. 3. Getting C2 costs more primos than EL. But still you need to have 200+ wishes ready. 4. C2 makes Raiden too OP thus reducing the enjoyment. 5. You shouldnt pass EL to other units but if you do they get very good weapon. 6. Xiangling needs the Catch and in Rational.
@@ixirion honestly a big reason to get her constellations is also getting Sara's ones. So you could argue that C2 (or even c1) is more value But yeah it looks super good... I think I'm gonna skip her const. + her weapon in order to save for Yelan + the Homa/Aqua banner. Yelan would unlock more team comps for me I don't have enough pity or wishes and I don't want to get screwed with Ayato's weapon since I don't have him. I'm also incredibly satistied with Raiden aggravate, it's waaaaaay better than standard hypercarry if you don't have the constellations. The tean I use is: Raiden, Fischl (tenacity), Nahida (deepwood full em), Bennett. It's less burst reliant and it's got a really constant and steady dmg output, unlike hypercarry without consts which can get me screwed as soon as the boss decides to be invulnerable and I need to painfully get the energy back

I was farming gilded a lot in 3.0-3.2, and i didn't get any em goblet or circlet. But i farmed paradise for 5 days, and I got em sands, goblet, and more em substats on flower and feather than i had on gilded. Now my raiden has exactly 1000 em with dragons bane.
Finally someone actually gives accurate details about Raiden.. While others like Mtashed just says - "screw whoever you are saving for , pull Raiden Shogun because she is a must pull"

I also think most people dont know why raiden national is so good on single target and they dont build characters properly too in rational...its not because of energy generation and not because of xiangling vaporising only...its also because of overload...and against bosses overload dont have the multitarget problems...
Will you do an Ayato edition? I feel like people discount him a lot by calling him mid, which hasn't been true since hyperbloom, and Yaoyao will also give him flexibility to drive Nilou. His flexibility / pull value is just really really high.
He is just honestly fine, there's too many other great hydro units, Xingqui and Yelan and Kokomi especially, it surprises me to the sum of zero that Ayato was just swept under the rug by the general masses
In case of c2+ raiden, aggravate comps are better than hyperbloom. when people say hyperbloom is the best, they are talking about c0. or they arent familiar with aggravate raiden.
@@shablagoo682 You're right, it's not much different. Optimal aggravate with c2 Raiden would still run c6 Sara, an anemo, and a dendro. One thing you could maybe change would be the anemo for something else. Also, the electro slot is more flexible in aggravate. While c6 Sara is still the best, you could run someone else like Yae or Fischl better than you could in normal Raiden hypercarry. Also normal hypercarry uses Bennet, so aggravate comps free him for the other team at least.
Hyperbloom raiden is so uncomfortable to use in overworld if you dont have Nahida though, since most good dendro applications come from bursts and burst based characters are bad in overworld in general

@@unquantifiable5140 I am a Cyno main. As much as I love him I can’t deny he doesn’t have much over the other options. Keqing is arguably more comfy for aggravate. And Raiden is more consistent for Hyperbloom. Cyno’s one best thing is quickbloom since no other electro character can deal high amounts of personal and transformative reaction damage at the same time, but then again that’s only one scenario where he excels.
About 36 star, I only started to be able to consistently do it when I got Ayato. Raiden didn't help, she just crippled my other teams and her damage at C0 wasn't that amazing because my Emblem luck is garbage and she needs some absurd amounts of investment
A 15-20% improvement in teams with an attack buffer and way more than than in teams without one sounds pretty crazy to me. Definitely worth the pull, but that doesn't mean you should pull for it, as he said The Catch is just a very good weapon that happens to be F2P.
It's better to go for her weapon even if you don't have c3 if you can more or less guarantee the weapon. You can go for constellations any time her banner is up. You need 210 wishes to guarantee a weapon. It's much more difficult to save like 180 wishes than it is to save like 30 wishes. If you get the weapon early, you can then spend the rest on constellations if you want. Raiden had a mediocre initial reception because she wasn't as universally and clearly good as Zhongli's shield. Her skill also did mediocre dmg so a lot of people discounted it. People also just dealt with the whole Zhongli needing a buff situation and people were wary that this was a somewhat similar situation were Raiden was just good but not great. A lot of people also pulled for Zhongli when he was bad so they were a little scared that Raiden was not that good. The Catch also took some time for most people to max out so it wasn't immediately paired with her.
Yep bro, sometimes I don't understand why some people say Yelan is not worth pulling if you have XQ because they do the same thing and XQ is a 4* but they hype Raiden hyperbloom over Kuki hyperbloom when Kuki does the same thing + healer and she's a 4*.

That is another matter. But Raiden simply is not really that good in hyperbloom. The teams where her burst buff matters, u are left with no healers. Even Zajeff, a skilled player was dying with his Raidou team. And in teams where kuki's heal has little value becuz there is another healer e.g kokomi, u either are not producing enough seeds to take advantage of raiden's more frequent skill procs or the characters simply dnt care much about burst dmg bonus from Raiden's skill. She really is just mid in hyperbloom too. At best, she's about as good as kuki.
@@bokwvuskilso6131 because people would pull for a 3rd xingqiu clone if they could? Hyperbloom only needs 1 electro and its either raiden or kuki, if you have 1 the other loses value. Xingqiu is the best character in the game with no diminishing returns because you could easily run 2 of him on both sides of the abyss across multiple team variations.
You didn't read the entire Raiden burst description when talking about the Raiden/Beidou interaction. Raiden burst specifically says that her normal and charged etc counts as burst damage. Not standard attacks.
Good catch, but people noticed that and still found it inconsistent with other interactions. Take a catalyst user and poke a slime with the same element with NAs with Beidou's burst active. Even though the NA hits but doesn't do any damage, it still procs - which means that Beidou's burst is watching whether a NA hits or not. Not that it deals NA damage, as they're not taking any damage.
I decided to do a 4* abyss run with heizou national first side and kuki barbara collei and my lv20 ningguang on second and it was a lot easier than I expected. hyperbloom is just generally broken, you pretty much just need 3 characters in the team and they don't even need to be doing dmg-- its all reaction, its insane. Tbh I'm still debating on whether I pull for raiden or if I skip her a third time. My emblem artifacts are fucking garbage and I already have a c2 kuki that works wonderfully. Kinda wanted her but I don't really have an use or need??? Yeah. Not to mention that I don't need two hyperbloom teams cuz I've done abyss runs with hyperbloom and burgeon already (klee burgeon is my new favorite thing ngl).
@@quackbrold2483 There's no other 5* weapon that offers more than 20% improvement over 4*. Only Engulfing can do it. Engulfing is objectively the best value. Other signatures are below 15% increase. You might say no 5* weapon is worth the cost and I'd be inclined to agree but assuming one wants to get a 5* weapon, he won't find a better one than Engulfing.

Anyone else notice there's some weird Mandela effect going on where people just don't believe that Raiden was getting dumpstered on release? I've seen it multiple times in comments of different videos featuring Raiden. They think people loved her from the start for some reason.
Zajef, the reason why Raiden's Burst and Beidou's burst does not synergies is because of the 'When' clause. 'when' in this case works on Raiden and Xinqui, not on Beidou, is because Beidou has the condition 'when NA or CA hits'. Problem is, Raiden's NA and CA are not considered as such upon hitting, while Xinqui checks if the attacks are thrown. As someone who is well-verse in YuGiOh, this doesn't come as a surprise to me.
The reason why Raiden and Beidou worked in early beta was because Raiden's attacks in her burst used to count as normal attack damage and scale from her normal attack skill. However, this was perceived as weak by beta testers because it means she doesn't really benefit from emblem artifact. They buffed her immensely in the beta by changing her attacks during her burst to count as burst dmg, instead of normal attack dmg mid beta and that's when the Beidou interaction stopped working. They also swapped her C2 and her C6 at the time, which resulted in a really strong C2.
raiden combo "3n3c n1c" is inconsistent at least for me. I use 2n3c n2c n1c instead and it's smoother for reasons i don't know. I can only do the optimal combo recommended in kqm when i dash cancel the 3rd n3c.
You can easily bring a healer in Raiden hyperbloom though. Prototype Amber Nahida (my preference), Barbara, Kokomi, etc. In fact, doing it that way is probably more comfy than Kuki since you never have to worry about accidentally getting one-shotted if you aren't paying attention to rotations.
@@acerbus1146 definitely depends on the player. But why risk having to restart a run when you could just use Kuki instead and easily clear it on your first try? That's my opinion, but to each their own

@@LaLa-bk8st Kuki being comparable to Raiden is bullcrap. Don't believe theorycrafters' lies. Raiden does anywhere between 30% and 100% more damage in practice. Better uptime, non-scuffed rotations, way faster electro application, bigger aoe, better activation placement (remember that Raiden procs around the enemy you hit, not around yourself)... The only con to Raiden is she doesn't work vs shields, that's the only scenario where Kuki can somewhat compare or even pull ahead. Hyperbloom teams usually have Xingqiu and/or Yelan who both benefit greatly from Raiden E (24% damage bonus). Kuki can't do anything for them. If Kuki goes TotM, her EM will be a lot lower. Oh and Raiden has access to Dragon's Bane which has higher EM than any sword available to Kuki. Kuki is great, don't get me wrong, Kuki hyperbloom is more than capable of clearing abyss with 36* but claiming she's anywhere close Raiden hyperbloom is just a major cope.

I was using Reaction team since v1.2 with Sucrose, Xingqiu, Fischl and Xiangling where Fischl is built with EM Thundering Fury. Xingqiu or Xiangling sets the 1st element then Sucrose spread it and slight CC. (Fischl triggers electro-charged or overloaded) I was probably one of the few people who was very happy when v1.6 dropped with EM buff because Electro-charged and Overloaded is my main source of dmg and my dmg got doubled. when 2.0 was released and I tried Raiden's Demo I already saw her fit perfectly on my team because she solves Fischl's single target application. That's the reason I got Raiden and I put Fischl's EM Thundering Fury on her and run EM Raiden since the day she was released. a year later dendro was released and I was really happy MiHoYo buffed my Reaction playstyle again.
Wether she is powerful or not, it's not gonna stop me from pulling for her. Since i started playing(3.0), we've only had mostly supports or main dps's that are still new or not fully unlocked potential at the moment(Cyno) or tricky playstyles(childe,yae,itto). I wanted a 5* main dps for a long time and now one has finally come. I'll pull Childe after i get Ayaka and Raiden. Forgot about Yoi. Yeah she is strong but during her banners, i felt like those waifu banners would come after shortly. Slight regret for that
So, I just learned that I've been missing out on 17% damage on my Raiden by forgetting about Charge Attacks... I've been a Diluc Main since 1.0, so I got used to Charge Attacks being something to avoid.
Is hyperbloom with mona as hydro applicator and on field dps good? I’m running em nahida deepwood, with em raiden gilded dream. Right now my hyperbloom damage is about 34k per raiden proc. Planning on putting deepwood onto mona, and flower of paradise lost onto em raiden. Thoughts?
My C2 fischl with R2 stringless with an average build is actually even worse than my C0 TTDS lisa in single target dps. Basically, Fischl being better than Sara C6 highly depends on ur fischl build, constellations and the refinements on the stringless.
I would like to hear more about your Lisa and Fischl. This is my first time hearing someone saying their Lisa dealing more damage in single target situation.
@@mrtgl6150 my fischl is lvl 89/90, talents lvl 4/8/6 (skill is lvl 8), 1745 atk, 50.5% crit rate, 127.7% crit dmg. She's using 4 piece TF. She can use 4pc totm to buff raiden even further but that would harm her personal dps, u knw the whole debate around this so i just didn't bother. Lisa on the other hand is lvl 60/70, lvl 1 talents, C0. I just gave her a ton of HP and ER, 212% lol. The enemy was lvl 93 primo geovishap of the overworld. Raiden hyper with Lisa almost 1 cycles the boss, like eats up around 98% of the HP bar. With Fischl i am usually within 90-92% hp bar..and i have given it a lot of retries for both characters. Both are pretty consistent, except the times Raiden gets pushed out of Bennett's burst. I can certainly see fischl being better than Lisa with R5 stringless, but i just keep getting rainslashers for some reason...

However i use her with nahida hyperbloom so it's kinda good that Lisa works this well in raiden hyper for me since i use the both teams in abyss.
Fischl is never better than c6 Sara in that team. Not even close. The only real alternative to Sara is Raiden Hyper is Yae Miko for multi wave content (she can also replace one of the dudes while Sara stays in). Lisa is indeed good option thanks to her def shred and ability to carry TToDS. Fischl is simply worthless for Raiden. Doesn't provide anything to her and doesn't benefit from Raiden whatsoever either. Adding Chongyun would have made more sense than Fischl lol.

Part of why misconceptions can spread is because there are no legitimate counters without nerds and TC. Raidou was legit f*cked and caused a stir. If TC isn't doing their job for Raiden then it's understandable how things blow out of proportion and misinformation spreads. Not the same as when people pop off about the nerfs and buffs that occur in beta. It's really a mixed bag as to how things will look until the character is finished and in the public's hands for testing and such.

1:27 I think this is an important point. A lot of us still engage ourselves in pull value content and discussions even though we’ve cleared the most difficult content. So it’s not about “I think this character is good and I’ve been clearing abyss since 1.0” because at that point you don’t belong to the audience that Zajef is targeting. It definitely took me a long time to realize that although I may not be proficient with spreadsheets etc. Once I cleared abyss it simply did not matter as I developed a decent enough understanding of the game.

I'm a day 1 player(dolphin), and since the start of this year I haven't had a problem 36 starring the abyss. It's ironic because I don't have alot of the super meta 5 stars (raiden, hutao, ganyu, venti) I just pulled the units that I liked (all the geo 5 stars, and some other 5 stars that I like here and there.) So I always encourage the "go for who you like, but build/play them in the most optimal way you can." It's what has worked for me, and I never burnout because I know I'm playing the game in a way that's the most fun for me.
If a character is really good in the story but leaves a bad taste in your mouth as you play, then I am not freaking pulling that character. That's the conclusion I have come to after 2 years of playing. It's not just Zajef's word, but also lots of trial on my part that helps me with my decisions whether the character is good or not.
Pretty much yeah, I always find it weird that some people really hate when Zajeff opinion doesn't align with their accounts, where I can see that his content always crater toward very new player all the time.
For personal goal after I can comfortably full cleared every abyss rotations since I've got Ayaka to counter the Abyss Lector, I started partaking in using less characters to complete it. And it kinda incites my flame of excitement with the game. It still makes me crave for improving the same old characters that I have used since forever. For the context, it's 3x4* or 2x5* (or less) challenge
And since I'm just a very low spender (day 1 player w/ 8 welkins), I have another goal in mind of wanting to own at least one c6 5* for solo'ing an entire abyss (comfortably), so I have saved 127k primo currently, looking for future characters to pull a c6 (if not Yelan haha).

Tried almost every Raiden's team variation from rational, hypercarry, electro charge, hyperbloom, and aggravate, and all of them are so strong and can clear abyss easily but I can say my most favorite team is aggravate Raiden with Kazuha, Fischl, and Nahida

I've been having a lot more fun with hyperbloom Raiden team with Nahida and Kokomi over her usual build. I initially pulled for Raiden because I really that her skill would trigger on hit no matter the range so it pays off that it works so well for hyperbloom

Kuki is such an amazing unit now. Hyperbloom damage-wise, Raiden edges out Kuki because of how much faster her E procs. However, if you require a healer/shielder, Kuki would probably be the best as you don't need to slot in a healer/shielder that would otherwise take the place of a really strong sub dps. So in a Kuki hyperbloom team, everyone in your party deals a lot of damage, whereas in a Raiden team, more often than not you'll have one unit that will not do damage to provide healing/shielding

Yeah, swapping to Kuki in the middle of the rotation to refresh her skill is also not a problem because Nahida, XQ, Yelan team has no dedicated on-fielder, I can swap out from Nahida anytime I want. The extra damage that Raiden provides is not big enough to justify running a healer-less team.
@@vert7342 true, but just by virtue of not having to pull for a 5 star (raiden) for a competititive option, kuki is extremely good. For people who lack both raiden and nahida, nahida + kuki instead of raiden + some other dendro is a better bang for your buck for easy to build dendro teams.

I switched to EM raiden more than a month ago and never looked back tbh. It's so much easier to build just triple EM plus now I have more EOSF pieces to give to my other characters
I find it the most versatile team for her. It's flexible in terms of hydro/dendro members you can field with her, and probably the biggest pros of this team is we finally can free Xinqui or Bennet for teams that needs them.
I thought everyone knew hyperbloom is just the best dendro reaction rn.
I like playing it with ayato 100% burst uptime, Raiden, Nahida, Zhongli and basically just AFK clear stages AOE or single target, its so broken.

I think a big reason of why The Engulfing Lighting is so good is because while being the best damaging option for her electro teams, it ALSO gives her insane burst availability and more ER to her team all at once. The Engulfing straight up gives her 30% extra ER after she casts her bursts, which just feels so good. And this is just COMFORT compared to the fact that with every other weapon you kinda need to compromise between ATK and ER and not having her bursts up sucks.
I think that when a weapon has the best damage AND big QoL improvements, its pull value increases. And that's why they fucking give it the worst weapon banners possible each time 😢
Contrary of Zafef recomend I would suggest to most ppl to get ELighning instead of const if they can save the primos for it.
1. Looks best on her.
2. At C0 + EL she can smash everything anyway so you dont need C2.
3. Getting C2 costs more primos than EL. But still you need to have 200+ wishes ready.
4. C2 makes Raiden too OP thus reducing the enjoyment.
5. You shouldnt pass EL to other units but if you do they get very good weapon.
6. Xiangling needs the Catch and in Rational.

I'm also incredibly satistied with Raiden aggravate, it's waaaaaay better than standard hypercarry if you don't have the constellations. The tean I use is: Raiden, Fischl (tenacity), Nahida (deepwood full em), Bennett. It's less burst reliant and it's got a really constant and steady dmg output, unlike hypercarry without consts which can get me screwed as soon as the boss decides to be invulnerable and I need to painfully get the energy back

As a non minmaxer with not so crazy stats, my double hydro hyperbloom raiden is the only team that can clear wolflord before the shield phase.
I was farming gilded a lot in 3.0-3.2, and i didn't get any em goblet or circlet. But i farmed paradise for 5 days, and I got em sands, goblet, and more em substats on flower and feather than i had on gilded. Now my raiden has exactly 1000 em with dragons bane.
I know Dragon's Bane is her BIS for hyperbloom, but I'll still give her Kitain Cross Spear as her BIS for drip.

I also think most people dont know why raiden national is so good on single target and they dont build characters properly too in rational...its not because of energy generation and not because of xiangling vaporising only...its also because of overload...and against bosses overload dont have the multitarget problems...

@@shablagoo682 You're right, it's not much different. Optimal aggravate with c2 Raiden would still run c6 Sara, an anemo, and a dendro. One thing you could maybe change would be the anemo for something else. Also, the electro slot is more flexible in aggravate. While c6 Sara is still the best, you could run someone else like Yae or Fischl better than you could in normal Raiden hypercarry. Also normal hypercarry uses Bennet, so aggravate comps free him for the other team at least.

Hyperbloom raiden is so uncomfortable to use in overworld if you dont have Nahida though, since most good dendro applications come from bursts and burst based characters are bad in overworld in general

About 36 star, I only started to be able to consistently do it when I got Ayato.

A 15-20% improvement in teams with an attack buffer and way more than than in teams without one sounds pretty crazy to me. Definitely worth the pull, but that doesn't mean you should pull for it, as he said The Catch is just a very good weapon that happens to be F2P.
It is crazy. It is better than any other weapon in the game. If someone considers pulling weapons valuable, Engulfing is the best of them all.
Question: should we play Raiden HyperBloom or Raiden Aggravate QuickBloom?
It's better to go for her weapon even if you don't have c3 if you can more or less guarantee the weapon. You can go for constellations any time her banner is up. You need 210 wishes to guarantee a weapon. It's much more difficult to save like 180 wishes than it is to save like 30 wishes. If you get the weapon early, you can then spend the rest on constellations if you want.
Raiden had a mediocre initial reception because she wasn't as universally and clearly good as Zhongli's shield. Her skill also did mediocre dmg so a lot of people discounted it. People also just dealt with the whole Zhongli needing a buff situation and people were wary that this was a somewhat similar situation were Raiden was just good but not great. A lot of people also pulled for Zhongli when he was bad so they were a little scared that Raiden was not that good. The Catch also took some time for most people to max out so it wasn't immediately paired with her.

Yep bro, sometimes I don't understand why some people say Yelan is not worth pulling if you have XQ because they do the same thing and XQ is a 4* but they hype Raiden hyperbloom over Kuki hyperbloom when Kuki does the same thing + healer and she's a 4*.

But Raiden simply is not really that good in hyperbloom. The teams where her burst buff matters, u are left with no healers. Even Zajeff, a skilled player was dying with his Raidou team.
And in teams where kuki's heal has little value becuz there is another healer e.g kokomi, u either are not producing enough seeds to take advantage of raiden's more frequent skill procs or the characters simply dnt care much about burst dmg bonus from Raiden's skill.
She really is just mid in hyperbloom too. At best, she's about as good as kuki.

You didn't read the entire Raiden burst description when talking about the Raiden/Beidou interaction. Raiden burst specifically says that her normal and charged etc counts as burst damage. Not standard attacks.
Good catch, but people noticed that and still found it inconsistent with other interactions. Take a catalyst user and poke a slime with the same element with NAs with Beidou's burst active. Even though the NA hits but doesn't do any damage, it still procs - which means that Beidou's burst is watching whether a NA hits or not. Not that it deals NA damage, as they're not taking any damage.

I decided to do a 4* abyss run with heizou national first side and kuki barbara collei and my lv20 ningguang on second and it was a lot easier than I expected. hyperbloom is just generally broken, you pretty much just need 3 characters in the team and they don't even need to be doing dmg-- its all reaction, its insane.
Tbh I'm still debating on whether I pull for raiden or if I skip her a third time. My emblem artifacts are fucking garbage and I already have a c2 kuki that works wonderfully. Kinda wanted her but I don't really have an use or need??? Yeah. Not to mention that I don't need two hyperbloom teams cuz I've done abyss runs with hyperbloom and burgeon already (klee burgeon is my new favorite thing ngl).

@@quackbrold2483 There's no other 5* weapon that offers more than 20% improvement over 4*. Only Engulfing can do it. Engulfing is objectively the best value. Other signatures are below 15% increase. You might say no 5* weapon is worth the cost and I'd be inclined to agree but assuming one wants to get a 5* weapon, he won't find a better one than Engulfing.

Anyone else notice there's some weird Mandela effect going on where people just don't believe that Raiden was getting dumpstered on release? I've seen it multiple times in comments of different videos featuring Raiden. They think people loved her from the start for some reason.
Zajef, the reason why Raiden's Burst and Beidou's burst does not synergies is because of the 'When' clause.
'when' in this case works on Raiden and Xinqui, not on Beidou, is because Beidou has the condition 'when NA or CA hits'. Problem is, Raiden's NA and CA are not considered as such upon hitting, while Xinqui checks if the attacks are thrown.
As someone who is well-verse in YuGiOh, this doesn't come as a surprise to me.
The thing is, her C6 had the exact same wording as beidou's burst, so they changed how her C6 was worded instead of addressing the issue.

The reason why Raiden and Beidou worked in early beta was because Raiden's attacks in her burst used to count as normal attack damage and scale from her normal attack skill. However, this was perceived as weak by beta testers because it means she doesn't really benefit from emblem artifact. They buffed her immensely in the beta by changing her attacks during her burst to count as burst dmg, instead of normal attack dmg mid beta and that's when the Beidou interaction stopped working. They also swapped her C2 and her C6 at the time, which resulted in a really strong C2.

You can easily bring a healer in Raiden hyperbloom though. Prototype Amber Nahida (my preference), Barbara, Kokomi, etc.
In fact, doing it that way is probably more comfy than Kuki since you never have to worry about accidentally getting one-shotted if you aren't paying attention to rotations.

@@deltaspecies1697 i only switch kuki 1 everytime her skill is down and let nahida do the driver instead to regen more core with xq and yelan, it honestly just alot cheaper and easer to build and the dmg is good so i take it
@@LaLa-bk8st Kuki being comparable to Raiden is bullcrap. Don't believe theorycrafters' lies. Raiden does anywhere between 30% and 100% more damage in practice. Better uptime, non-scuffed rotations, way faster electro application, bigger aoe, better activation placement (remember that Raiden procs around the enemy you hit, not around yourself)... The only con to Raiden is she doesn't work vs shields, that's the only scenario where Kuki can somewhat compare or even pull ahead. Hyperbloom teams usually have Xingqiu and/or Yelan who both benefit greatly from Raiden E (24% damage bonus). Kuki can't do anything for them. If Kuki goes TotM, her EM will be a lot lower.
Oh and Raiden has access to Dragon's Bane which has higher EM than any sword available to Kuki.
Kuki is great, don't get me wrong, Kuki hyperbloom is more than capable of clearing abyss with 36* but claiming she's anywhere close Raiden hyperbloom is just a major cope.

I was using Reaction team since v1.2 with Sucrose, Xingqiu, Fischl and Xiangling where Fischl is built with EM Thundering Fury. Xingqiu or Xiangling sets the 1st element then Sucrose spread it and slight CC. (Fischl triggers electro-charged or overloaded)
I was probably one of the few people who was very happy when v1.6 dropped with EM buff because Electro-charged and Overloaded is my main source of dmg and my dmg got doubled.
when 2.0 was released and I tried Raiden's Demo I already saw her fit perfectly on my team because she solves Fischl's single target application. That's the reason I got Raiden and I put Fischl's EM Thundering Fury on her and run EM Raiden since the day she was released.
a year later dendro was released and I was really happy MiHoYo buffed my Reaction playstyle again.

Wether she is powerful or not, it's not gonna stop me from pulling for her. Since i started playing(3.0), we've only had mostly supports or main dps's that are still new or not fully unlocked potential at the moment(Cyno) or tricky playstyles(childe,yae,itto). I wanted a 5* main dps for a long time and now one has finally come.
I'll pull Childe after i get Ayaka and Raiden.

Is hyperbloom with mona as hydro applicator and on field dps good? I’m running em nahida deepwood, with em raiden gilded dream. Right now my hyperbloom damage is about 34k per raiden proc.
Planning on putting deepwood onto mona, and flower of paradise lost onto em raiden. Thoughts?

My C2 fischl with R2 stringless with an average build is actually even worse than my C0 TTDS lisa in single target dps.
Basically, Fischl being better than Sara C6 highly depends on ur fischl build, constellations and the refinements on the stringless.
I would like to hear more about your Lisa and Fischl. This is my first time hearing someone saying their Lisa dealing more damage in single target situation.
@@mrtgl6150 my fischl is lvl 89/90, talents lvl 4/8/6 (skill is lvl 8), 1745 atk, 50.5% crit rate, 127.7% crit dmg. She's using 4 piece TF. She can use 4pc totm to buff raiden even further but that would harm her personal dps, u knw the whole debate around this so i just didn't bother.
Lisa on the other hand is lvl 60/70, lvl 1 talents, C0. I just gave her a ton of HP and ER, 212% lol.
The enemy was lvl 93 primo geovishap of the overworld. Raiden hyper with Lisa almost 1 cycles the boss, like eats up around 98% of the HP bar. With Fischl i am usually within 90-92% hp bar..and i have given it a lot of retries for both characters. Both are pretty consistent, except the times Raiden gets pushed out of Bennett's burst.
I can certainly see fischl being better than Lisa with R5 stringless, but i just keep getting rainslashers for some reason...
@@mehdeem4270 I see, it's not the Lisa doing the dmg here. Have you tried changing the artifact? 4 TF Fischl on that team sound kinda wasted there, You are not doing reaction with Fischl on that team and TF only buff reaction damage.
@@mrtgl6150 I don't have any of the characters that can use the totm set(zhongli, kokomi) so I didn't farm it just for fischl.
Yeah i guess 4pc totm is a necessity for my fischly in this team. However i use her with nahida hyperbloom so it's kinda good that Lisa works this well in raiden hyper for me since i use the both teams in abyss.
Fischl is never better than c6 Sara in that team. Not even close. The only real alternative to Sara is Raiden Hyper is Yae Miko for multi wave content (she can also replace one of the dudes while Sara stays in).
Lisa is indeed good option thanks to her def shred and ability to carry TToDS.
Fischl is simply worthless for Raiden. Doesn't provide anything to her and doesn't benefit from Raiden whatsoever either. Adding Chongyun would have made more sense than Fischl lol.
