BTW, the lady in the Audience standing up and yelling when she won is her Grandma Mery Zamani....who introduced her to Jazz as a a little child and her biggest influence for this music. Mery is an Iranian Poet/artist and Angelina inherited a lot of that DNA for sure.... 🥰🥰

@@LoccdWolfReacts Yes, she had a family who had a proper vision for how things should go ,and it was the right vision, and we have all benefited from watching it all unfold, its been nice watching such a good thing..... but the music industry has been shown up, so many good artists out there are not helped to move forward, when if they really helped the industry could get even more of what they truly want.... Money... so short sighted!!!
When the NGT judge (Mia) said that, five weeks had passed since the broadcast (and posting online) of Angelina's "Gloomy Sunday" audition, three weeks since her appearance on the talk show _Senkveld_ where she sang "Fly Me tot he Moon", and two weeks since her second-round performance of "I'm a Fool to Want You". I think the 5M figure might have been the total for uploads of all of those over that time. In any case, it wasn't in one day.😊 (Also, I believe some figures in the music industry very much took notice of her. It is my understanding that her family had to start saying no to those kinds of offers very soon after she blew up online.)

In case you didn't catch it, the woman standing up and screaming with the two signs in her hands when Angelina won was her beloved grandmother Meri Zamani who was Angelina's main influencer, introducing her to music (particularly jazz greats) from literally the time she was a baby.

By the time that she was 12 years old she had already helped raise twenty-five million dollars for children's charities and environmental charities. BTW she gave the majority of her winnings at Norway's got talent to charity...
And she won against all the other acts by getting 46% of the vote. The woman with the two signs shouting to the heavens after she won, is her Granda Mery (she introduced AJ to jazz when she was still a baby). Mery Zamani is a noted artist and poet in her own right.
I think a lot of people don't realize how much Angelina has done in her short life (17). FIFA song and so on. She has 100 songs lying around! The truth is that within a year or two she will be the artist for the big occasions. and not a "bare belly plastic artist" who tops a list for a week and is forgotten just as quickly. Nice reaction, Wolf. What's just as amazing as Angelina's singing is the songs she picks to sing. Somewhere along my Angelina journey, I saw something where Angelina's mom said only Angelina picks her songs, and she sings them the way she imagines.

Here is a quote from Angelina (7y) from an interview with TV2 after her Auditions NTG 2014. "The reason I chose this song is completely random. I love jazz, but" Gloomy Sunday "was random. It was a night I could not sleep and my mother was stressed that I was awake long after midnight. Then I borrowed my mom's iPad where I wanted to listen to jazz on RUclips before I fell asleep. Then came a picture of a beautiful lady screaming at the sky and with her eyes closed. I heard the song "Gloomy Sunday" that night and then I had to hear it every day. I love the melody. I understood well what the text was about because I know English well. Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. " ♥👣👸🏻🎷
Yeah, she won with 46% of the votes out of 10 acts, so it was a landslide. She is a national treasure of Norway, and she has sung with some of the most prestigious orchestras and musicians of Norway and around the world, and that was before she was 12. The last song in this series you should hear is her performance of “What a Difference a Day Makes” which she performed live right after she won NGT at 8, it’s incredible.

It isn't just the voice or the control. These are jazz classics that are not easy for anybody to sing well and for a child - almost a toddler - to understand the nuance and inflection necessary is simply astounding. I never would have believed it was possible. This 'Summertime', one of my favourite songs, is one of the best I've ever heard. 😎

You have to catch the Americas got talent Bohemian Rhapsody. She was 13 & talks about waiting to sing for Simon for 10 tears. At 3 I was wondering what to do with my boogers. At 3, Angelina had serious career plans lol

The book is available on her merch page on her Official channel. I truly believe Angelina was given the gift of song to draw attention to her message of love and empathy. So glad to see you back reacting to AJ. And this all 4 in 1 compilation is one of the best because it does cover all 4 of these amazing performances that served to first alert the world she is on the way. Each of these songs is better than the last. I believe it demonstrates her phenominal growth, even during that show. But even the first one is unbelievable for a 7 year old. Thank you so much for doing this one 🙂 Angelina won with 46% of the total votes, and she donated her prize money, 50k USD to charity. All of it. Nice that you told the story behind her performing barefeet. Actually she wrote a book about her encounter with that orphan girl, and at age 9 became Norway's youngest published author. There is actually two clips on RUclips, the first showing her interview on national television, where she talks about the encounter and also reads an excerpt from her book. The other one is a clip from the same program, where she performs "Unchained Melody". She was 9 years on the program, as the interview came just after the release of her book. The book is called "Mellom To Hjerter", which translates to "Between Two Hearts".
And she is staying 100% true to her promise to that girl. So far she hasn't even ONCE, not even during outdoor winter concerts in Norway, performed with shoes on. And yes, Norwegian winters are COLD. Many times she is sick around Christmas time because of it, and we have seen her going against the doctor's orders to perform. She has performed on countless charity events, all of them in support of underprivileged children around the world. Angelina is an incredible humanitarian, with an incredible heart. And with an incredible voice 🙂

In an early interview she said for me singing is like breathing. Even a few months after this she did an outdoor concert in front of thousands and the growth is amazing. Its worth reacting to WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKE. ..she has her own adult backing singers.

I have watched this so many times and it still makes me cry when Angelina is announced the winner (with 46% of the votes!). Loved your reaction, can’t wait for more.
AJ is a Jazz singer at heart. That is her foundation. Not blues, not R&B etc...she got into that later. When she sings NOW, you can clearly hear her Jazz influences. So when people, especially reactors that don't know her background, compare her to contemporary Jazz-fusion artist, IMHO you get it wrong. She sounds like Billie Holiday (who AJ has said is her biggest influence), Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and even Nina Simone etc. The Amy Winehouses etc...was also influenced by them.
Now that you've seen these performances, you really should check out the TV "news" segment about her that aired midway through the competition. It contains a clip of her singing when she was 1½ years old, which you've no doubt been told about in the comments on every AJ reaction you've done. If you haven't seen it for yourself, you _need_ to. Personally, I think it's worth reacting to, given its importance in her "mythos". The whole segment also contains shots of some of her artwork, a short clip of her laying down vocals in a modest neighborhood recording studio, a version of the story of why she sings barefoot, and a short clip of her playing the piano and singing some song that I can't identify.
