This blows me away every time I see it. It is unbelievable that this is from a 6-year-old, but then again what about Angelina doesn't blow someone away at any age.
After seeing this I believe that for her, singing is easier than talking.
Shirley Bassey recorded it in 1963, who was highly recognized for her recording of Goldfinger. Tom Jones recorded it in 1970.

@@most2dot0 The "I'm A Fool To Want You performance" at NGT was not a live show, it was from the selection after the auditions. It was broadcast after Angelinas 8th birthday but recorded before christmas of 2013 (according to one of the judges).

Because while I agree it was not live, I do doubt it could have been in December, because there were still auditions in January. Also, I read that a fan researched that there was a local newspaper reporting about the girl in the red dress behind Angelina, which dated that elimination round to Feb 7th 2014. According to Wikipedia it was broadcasted March 28th or April 4th.
@@most2dot0 That reference is gone.. I read it on one of the judges Facebook page (we have common friends) and I remember it, but it's gone from her FB - along with all FB history beyond a few years. Nothing was recorded on friday Feb 7th 2014 as NGT aired on fridays. I remember the girl in red, she was Sami (Lapplender) and one of the reasons they had to do this before christmas.. Norway is a big country geographically and the younger contestants were staying in hotels in Oslo.. it's expensive..

What's crazy is that she wasn't quite satisfied with it because she mixed up some words. Any normal kid that age would burst into tears if someone told them that, but even at that age Angelina is a pro and seeks perfection.

Whilst Tom Jones had a hit with a 1970 cover of this song, the biggest hit version was that by another Welsh singer, Shirley Bassey in 1965. Angelina's version at age 6 matches more closely with the Shirley Bassey version, not surprising since Angelina was a fan of Shirley Bassey from an early age, also singing her Bond hits "Diamonds Are Forever" and "Goldfinger".

She has always taken on difficult songs. Her mom said she tried to get Angelina to sing the typical "kid songs" but she would have nothing to do with them. There is a funny video of Angie at a school Christmas show when she was in pre-school. Most all the kids were singing along, but when the camera panned to Angie, she looked straight at it and shook her head - no.

Almost every time this video is reacted to it is reported that AJ was 6 at the time. However, it has been established through comparisons to her Norway's Got Talent performances and other videos from the same studio when she was 6, (i.e. ruclips.net/video/M-QspUVhrUM/видео.htmlsi=Qj8COY0YSXxiYAjg) that she was more likely 8 at the time of this recording and it was not her first time in the studio. It is still an amazing performance.

The tone of her voice, the understanding of how to control her voice and the ability to tell a story while she's singing the song as you so correctly stated tells everyone listening to her (at 6 years old!) the child is destined for greatness. Her family recognized her gift at a very early age and gave her the opportunity to fulfill her dream of singing for people. They sheltered her and surrounded her with love and she came to realize love is the answer to make the world a better place to live for everyone. She is very humble, kind, caring and loving and her golden voice projects the sound and feeling of love into a listeners heart and they, too become kinder, more caring and loving because they have been inspired by her.
Vocally and artistically we are in awe of her and quickly are aware there is no one like her. But then, along with that comes knowing 'who she is' and that's the time when a listener becomes an Angelina 'angel' and becomes someone very different from who they were. Amazing. Unbelievable? No, it's very believable and right there in front of all of us.

I just love this recording. This little 6 year old Norwegian girl singing while reading the lyrics! Most English speaking 6 year olds would struggle to read the words let alone belt them out! This was also sung by Shirley Bassey.

This song was written by Giulio "Mogol" Rapetti (lyrics) Carlo Donida (music) ... Tom Jones had a big hit with it and Shirley Bassey also had a notable version. Angelina Was 6 or (most Probably) 7 years old when she recorded this at a School Recording Studio. This is the best (IMHO) of the songs she recorded before appearing on Norway's Got Talent. You seemed surprised. I like that. Tom Jones performed this most often and popularized it but AJ is covering one of her favorite artists, Shirley Bassey. Of the four songs she recorded this day, another was Bassey's "Skyfall" (written by Adele to sound like "Diamonds Are Forever"). To prove she wasn't there to record kid songs, she also tried Adele's "Rollin' In The Deep". This is the best performance by far.
The for songs were hardly recorded on the same day, as she wears different cloth. And especially this one was recorded much later, then the others (were it was hot and they wear summer cloth) with snow being seen outside.

When "Rolling In The Deep" and the others were recorded, Angelina had just lost her first baby tooth, in "I who have nothing" her adult teeth are beginning to pop out willy-nilly. They look very similar to when she did her initial audition in NGT at the age of 7 (by the time she won she had turned 8). She is reported age 6 in this one (source?: the person behind the camera,her grandmother), so I assume this was probably recorded just before her 7th birthday.
@@Halli50 As far as I now, auditions for NGT 2014 started only after mid 2013. If it is close to the audition, and we see snow outside of the window, this could only be recorded when she was late 7 or early 8.

Her grandma published three videos with a age indication of 6, these were Hurt (twice) and One Moment In Time. But they were published only many years after being recorded. And her grandma titled many videos with her as age 7, were she was actually clearly 8 already, based on her teeth. And also supported by the fact that Egil is in there as well, who told Alan Papier that he only met her for the gig at the prime minister, which was in mid 2014 after she had won NGT at age 8.
There are other videos that were published in summer 2013 (when she was 7, stating she was 7), were she had about the same tooth status as in Hurt. So I am pretty sure Mery got the age wrong there as well.

I feel like you! I am also proud of Angelina and what she does. I do not know why. I just sit here and follow her career, year after year. Of course, I understand that my thoughts and what I think do not affect who she is! But after all these years, she is like a granddaughter to me. @@most2dot0 Appreciate your input but I respectfully disagree. Those are her baby teeth and she is demonstrably younger here than during NGT. It’s also been stated that this was her first studio appearance. I wasn’t there so I certainly could be mistaken but I’ll stick with my belief that she’s six during this studio session.
@@steveinman1157 you can think what you like, but it has been proven with screen shots of this video, the backstage footage of audition / Gloomy Sunday and I'm a Fool to Want You, that her same growing tooth (her left one) was the shortest in Gloomy Sunday. In this video that very tooth is almost as long as in IAFTWY.
But there are 3 videos that were recorded in this studio before Gloomy Sunday. From those ones you can see and hear that she is younger.
...and on those 3 earlier videos (like Rolling in the Deep...) her right tooth is gone. In this video and Gloomy Sunday her right tooth has already grown back.
