Actually she just turned 12 here , trying out her new birthday mic. Wasn’t posted till she was 13.
She posted it but took it down. Then a year later a fan uploaded a copy after he had boosted the background track which was too soft in the original. He marked the video "13" which was her current age. Some people argue that the visual and audio isn't quite synchronized which is true, but it wasn't synchronized in the original that Angelina posted either - I know because I saw it.

She received this Newman mike for her 12th birthday, and she is holding it backwards! Whether she knows and is doing it for sound effect, no one seems to know. This was the first song she recorded with this mike shortly after her 12th birthday! Has to be one of her top songs of all time!!
She pulled this video down for a while after youtube commenters who "know" everything about "technology" and nothing about music harassed her for using her birthday gift (a microphone) wrongly for this rendition. There you have the internet in a nutshell. Everyone is telling everyone else that you are "doing it wrong" even while listening to this rendition by a young girl sitting down and belting this out as a novice teenager.

@@glacieractivity I hope you did not think I was being critical in my commit. Based on what I know about this mike and Angelina I have always been of the opinion that she DID know, was experimenting with it, and did it intentionally especially with it being this song! And, yes, there was way too much criticism especially by people who knew nothing about the mike and certainly did not know if she had it backwards intentionally or not! And this is the point I was trying to get across - it is very possible she was aware that this mike, when held backwards, was said to give off some unusual sound effects. As I said "No one seems to know the facts" so why would anyone criticize her!!!

I also think that is a misnomer to believe that English is not her language, because in that part of the world, kids grow up speaking their native tongue and English at the same time, even if others in the family do not speak English. I spent time in The Netherlands and my mentor’s kids, both under 5, spoke two dialects of Dutch and English, and when I went back 10 years later, both conversed fluently in English even though their mother still struggled with it and sometimes they had to translate for her. The Dutch people have had English as a second language since WWII, and they usually learn a third like Italian.
