I wonder why they removed that nice circular display, it's such an intuitive way to work with material that's, well, cyclical. I always find it an extremely helpful way to visualize patterns of rhythm, and so few plugins use it. I admit that even with your explanation I don't quite get what Replicant does or if I would ever use it, but I've been aware of it for a long time and the circular display in the previous version was the one thing that kept me interested 🙂
5:07 When you talked about odd timings, I wasn't sure how that worked. How does Replicant know how many seconds its buffer should be? I get that you can divide that buffer up into different numbers of slices, but if I'm in, say, 3/4 time signature, how does it calculate the buffer size from the meter and the tempo? I'm interested in music production across multiple genres so I always like to understand how software can cope with unusual time signatures. Thanks for the video!
I envy the way that you you know the game of production inside and out. It's so obvious to me that this is your life... I wish I could trade places with you in this one area of life.
Hey Chris, could you please do a tutorial or analysis about Martin Nonstatic's music? His textures and evolving percussion are just miraculous - would love to know where to even begin creating something like this! I have been listening for his music for so long, especially album called Treeline. You should check out the track called Crimean Mountains!
I'm a huge Martin Nonstatic fan. He's also a personal friend of mine. I once asked him how he makes his percussion sounds and even he wouldn't tell me. Check out the other video "Glitch Percussion" on my channel.
Got Replicant? Get it here ---> bit.ly/3ZYo60X
so happy, I just saw this. I emailed Audio Damage and asked for an update like 5 times over the past few years because 2 never got a Linux version.
Just bought yesterday 👍😎 Chris what order is it Vital to replicant to LFO ?

Stumbled across your page. Have been looking for this type of plugin for a while. Nice walkthrough, just purchased from your link👍
I'm very curious about the vital patch. thats really lovely!
I really need to learn how to make those.
Definitely looks like my next purchase. I’ve got the XO Drums and I bet this VST would compliment it quite nicely.
There it is! :)
I wonder what a drum break would sound like sent through Replicant 3 🤔
amen 🙏 , hands down
Datalore... nice TNG reference 😏
kudos on the airplay on Hearts of Space this past week!
Hey thanks! I didn't think many people on RUclips follow that stuff but it's nice to hear! Cheers to you.

@@s1gns0fl1fe That is amazing to hear that you know him, thanks for the reply! Your tutorials are truly a goldmine, thank you Chris!
Wonder how this compares to glitchscape by Igor
If you only could have Replicant 3 or Infiltrator 2 which would it be?
Infiltrator has more capabilities and effects. Hence the price difference. Replicant 3 is special. That's a tough choice! Demo them both.
👍👌🏿🔥
This plugin seems like pure nastiness... Sold.
is the patch not available yet, or am I too stupid to find it? :D
Replicant 3? It's been out for awhile now. Check the website!
@@s1gns0fl1fe nono, Patch/Preset you used in vital :D
you can do all of these things with decent one shot samples and some comb FX.
so much chatter about nothing
