Watching this again. Can I just say how great it is that Utena is the fairytale here? At first, you might think it's the other way around, but it really isn't. Way to be accurate!
I loved this song so much as a young child and this AMV not only revived my love for the song but it breathed new meaning into it as it did! :) It fits Anthy as a character so well-- her struggle with defying other's expectations and wants. Through that perspective, a future with Utena must seem like something impossibly far off from the future she's envisioned for herself. Too hopeful a possibility yet one she can't help but want. A fairytale. This was so good!!
this would have been even greater if after the part he said he was searching for her it started showing only the movie imo, though it's still beautifully made and i love it and it's going in my amv playlist
