    Yeah Wix is the best or even STP oil filters . I've had and repaired vehicles that had no or lost oil pressure or caused a leak or exploded
    Most of all they definitely don't clean like they should however the issues you had it definitely wouldn't matter what filter you did have lol but glad to see a Wix on the old girl . Looks like she'll be running soon

      Yeah hoping by this weekend she'll be on the road again and hopefully For good. I did everything right this time and replaced everything plus did the good higher pressure oil pump. I miss driving it already I love this blazer I hope I don't have to do this again cause I'll be honest I won't. It'll get a whole new set up later on but it'll sit if it comes to that for a bit. I'm not rich 🤣

    Enginetech sent me the wrong sized parts for my Chevrolet 250, i ordered all the needed sizes for pistons, cam bearings, crank main and rod bearings, etc. They sent me all STD! Cant' finish the Nova because of that.

      Geez that doesn't make me feel any better. Hopefully my bearings are correct lol. I'll be honest i didn't even check the boxes. It spun ok so I think its fine lol

      @carloscollomps1552 ha would be my luck honestly. If this engine fails again I'm done with it. It'll sit for a while till I save up enough and I'll just do an LS swap once I got the money

    Dam dude that sux! 2x around....il be the 1st to ask...why not just 350 swap it at this point or LS?

    • @SethsBudgetBuilds
      @SethsBudgetBuilds  Год назад

      #1 cost. #2 350 isn't much of an increase in power and LS cost way to much to do. And it's complicated to keep 4x4 with LS

    • @s10forlife350
      @s10forlife350 Год назад

      @@SethsBudgetBuilds cost? Honestly not that expensive and actually not that bad even with 4x4. I have a 93 2 door v8 5spd 4x4. Far as power that vortec is only 200 hp, 350s usually have 300 or better so your getting a 50% power increase. Not tryna defend a v8 swap but man watching your vids you have the know how! In the end they are sooo much more reliable then those 4.3 vortecs. They are garbage! The only 4.3 that was half decent were the tbi injected. I guess yull see how trash those vortecs are when the fuel injection goes next...and trust me they go. They will leak like a sive washing out the crank bearings like they always do.

      @s10forlife350 I had a 95 jimmy I drove every day had 220k on it when I sold it ran great was reliable as hell. It's still going with over 250k on it now so idk. I've seen many many 4.3 vortecs make it to 300k. And name Me a fuel injected 350 that has 300 HP lol. Other than the LS style. They don't. The vortec 350 has 255 hp. Not worth doing the swap unless it's an LS or if I want to go carb and I don't.

      @@SethsBudgetBuildsi know it probably sounds like a hate speech in my comment, not tryna sound like a d bag at all. And honestly like your builds and content. Love the blazer that you saved as well. Not saying the truck is garbage/its a beautiful rig. I just cant believe with your talent you dont V8 swap, thats all im saying. If she fails again, just contemplate a V8 swap is all im saying. Its truely not that expensive and you get ALOT of benefits out of it.

      @s10forlife350 if it does again it'll get a v8. The first time I legit only did crank and bearings and gaskets. This time I did it right like I should have so if it fails then it's just cursed and it'll sit till I save the cash to do something cool with it. I've never done any swaps before. I'm still pretty average on know how. Alot of times things I do is my first time doing it. Like this 4.3 was my first time pulling one and tearing it down. So I definitely lacked on what I should of done which is why this time I did everything I should of done to begin with. Other than my time the only real cost extra was having to buy another crank and beatings and fluids. Cause the rest should of already been done
