Normally, I'd be against generalized blanket statements of an entire fanbase, but in this case it's true, so it's fine.

The only thing I dislike about tom is how he brags about being the biggest independent rapper (which he isnt). And when he acts like he created the blueprint (he didn't). Other than the blatant lies (like saying mac lethal got divorced). I like most his music quite a bit. He just needs to keep things a bit more real.
I like Tom but... KRino, B.O.B., Beast 1333, ATMA, LCOB, DC Midi Alien, Vinnie Paz, Immortal Technique (list goes on) all real underground, independent hip hop artists that have MUCH more skill and have been doing political rap since the 90's. Only thing Tom has is a unique style and a louder mic. And he's a marketing genius.
That being said, I still rock with him. Got all his albums and a couple signed too. But sometimes you can definitely see his ego shine through in his music and he stretches the truth frfr.

Mac didn’t actually get divorced. I hope that’s just some kind of misunderstanding because I don’t think I could continue supporting Tom if he intentionally made something like that up.

I also heard Mac wasn't divorced, but Mac and Tom have both lied in this beef either way. In any case, they both are dope and I support the talent.
He makes up complete lies all the time. To me most of them just don't matter; but the divorce one is lame/ Especially because toms fans believe everything that tom says.
ML 2021 album Winter Heartbreak was about his marriage breakdown and his depression. There is even an interview with Kansas City paper about it. Maybe they reconciled b4 finalizing a divorce? If Tom went by his lyrics and even ML's social media posts, he likely believed he was divorced. There's even posts on Reddit about it. Can't blame Tom for getting it wrong if he did.

Mac didn't get divorced, he addressed that he is happily married, and two.. they squashed the beef, but nova controls toms life and ghostwrites for him, they both got their ass handed to them.. you cant keep dissing someone and expect them to lay down, Tom's Karma is Mac Lethal, destroyed his entire career, life, fan base, family, everyone in one diss track.. this is part 1.. their is a part 2 if Tom responds

She's an independent artist who WAS signed to a label but she got screwed over by them and a lot of people around her... she became independent and is doing ALOT better in her smaller circle

@Gulicktheemu I think the issue many are having is that it wasn't true. If he was taking about Mac, then it wasn't true. Mac never had a divorce and still makes a living off of music. I think that's where all of this came from.
Most reactions to this song I've seen say what this one did - that the diss about Tom and political rap really hits as facts. I disagree. Public Enemy? When you have to go back a full generation in history to find the examples to prove him wrong then in my opinion you're proving him right. It's like nobody uses the Beastie Boys or Vanila Ice to take credit away from Eminem as the accepted pioneer of white rappers. There's a big difference between doing something a month after someone else did something similar and doing it a decade later. There was no momentum Tom was riding for popularity or existing blueprint he was following in developing his voice.
Secondly, there's a difference between commenting on politics and raging against the machine. You don't see Ice Cube doing stuff about biased news coverage, abortion, gun control, intervention in foreign wars, etc. The lyrical content of Tom's political tracks could be a Wall Street Journal opinion piece. So far, I have seen nobody give an example - none that Mac Lethal uses in his diss and none that reactors I've seen bring up - that is actually equivalent to what Tom does.
When someone can show me another artist doing something like Your America or Clown World within a decade of their release, then I will agree the diss was true. Note that I am not saying it was bad. The diss definitely hit home so far as provoking an emotional response. It was executed really well. I'm just saying I don't think it was facts.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Dave (aka Mac Lethal), is a very angry person who is easily triggered.
Example: In Tom’s “Lethal Injection”, he said: “It ain't a joke, when you're going broke... and you got a daughter at home”. That was NOT a diss of Dave’s daughter but his parenting. Dave got all butt hurt and attacked Nova in his response. He also brought up Tom being Canadian and other BS.
Fast forward to now. In “God Mode”, Tom said: “The last time i battled the man that i trampled lost his career and then had a divorce. That wasn’t fair, homie got torched

That was NOT a diss. It was an apology for Tom having a part in what happened to Dave - “… That wasn’t fair, homie got torched …”.
Again, Dave got all butt hurt and took 2 months to release a diss track. Once more, he slanders Nova, trying to hurt Tom and he brings up the Canadian thing again. It comes across as the same diss that he dropped back then only, this is way more angry and intended to be hurtful. If anyone had ever said anything like this about my wife, I would have been a man and handled it privately. The only indication of any kind of response might have been in the Obit section of the news.
I know Crypt did ghost writing on the first diss from Dave. Apparently Dave is so filled with hate and anger, he couldn’t come up with anything new and just went with the very same diss but with more vitriol. Apparently, he really can’t write his own lyrics.
As far as the Canada thing: Tom has lived in the U.S. for 10+ years. He came here legally. I had no idea that Dave was such a hard core xenophobe. My great grandfather was born in Spain and my grandfather was born in Mexico. We came here legally through the port of entry in El Paso, Texas. Does Dave think I can’t be a proud American? Maybe Dave should go back to wherever his ancestors came from.
In the end, I think Dave has some anger issues to work through and needs to unbunch his panties. He is absolutely not in a healthy headspace and needs help.

No one is going to respond to this. Mac hasn't released a real song in years (and the ones he has never went anywhere) he hasn't posted on RUclips in over a year. In my opinion, Mac Lethal won that battle. Tom's first diss was lame. Then Mac completely dismantled Tom. Then Tom's last diss had some good lines, but he really didn't rebuttal much. Edit 2: Mac Lethal was in Rhyme Sayers. Definitely, one of the pioneers of indie rap.
Edit 3: Mac is a legit battle rapper. Got to the finals of Scribble Jam numerous times and won one time. He's legit.

Toms not gonna respond. He’s not gonna give Mac the platform. I mean it took a full 24 hours for Mac’s video to reach 100,000 views!.He’s just not even close to Toms level so Toms not gonna waste his time and energy on it. I mean, he didn’t come after Upchurch and Upchurch is way bigger than Mac has been in decades.

I totally love nova's songs
Mac did only do one diss back then @ "Did one song then had to ignore it". Tom did two though. After w/e happened on Twitter, Tom released a diss track, Mac responded, and then Tom released another one but Mac never responded. So when he says "Last time, I took the high road, this time I'm getting toxic", he's referring to the fact that he didn't respond to the second diss. Nice reaction, though.

Mac dropped "Mac Lethal Sucks part 2" months later, literally saying "is this what you want?" Begging fans to come back. Due to the naming of the song it's within the trail of the diss battle, but it's a white flag while saying "see I won". Mac is a constant liar, who is chasing clout. Tom is topping charts and Mac hasn't released any actual songs in years, he hasn't even posted to his RUclips channel in over a year. "Hey Tom, I fell off, can you pull me up?"

He said "Keep saying “Mac Lethal sucks, He’s a loser that lives in Kansas." / Attention equals money, I’ll use it to my advantage" --- pretty self explanatory, and not a diss by any stretch of the imagination. Where was he begging for fans? And calling Mac a liar when Tom lied about Mac getting a divorce and literally said he created political rap, really? And you call Mac a clout chaser when Tom is all about controversy, shock value, and trying to offend people for views? Matter of fact, go listen to Tom's older music and see how much he contradicts himself these days.
Mac has very little YT presence. He has several albums that aren't even available on his channel, and obviously still tours and still makes money from rapping. So his RUclips is irrelevant. And who cares about the charts or how often someone makes albums? Selling (or making) more records doesn't = better. Yet their net worth is the same according to a few sources so I think he's doing just fine. I'm not even saying Mac is good. This diss is, but your metrics for judging him are ridiculous. Also, there's tons of other underground artists who don't make the charts, like K-Rino, who is also political and leagues above Tom. Or go check Immortal Technique or something.

You definitely don’t know Hip Hop if you believe that Public Enemy, Immortal Technique, Dead Prez, Run the Jewels etc didn’t make mostly Political Songs. Not just a Song here or there. Immortal Technique’s first 2 Albums were called Revolutionary Vol.1 and Vol. 2.

If I had ever had any respect for David Sheldon, it would have died on listening to this piece of $chit. It's hate filled. And it's not accurate. Yes, Tom's fans were definitely attacked. But what disturbs me more is how he went hard on Nova. And what disturbs me most is when he tells Tom to off himself. There are too many times when people have been pushed in that direction.

First of all there is nothing funny about one man brutally attacking another person(s) blaming a line in a song that wasn't even a diss. This Lethal guy comes out from beneath his rock like a Marvel cartoon villainous character flinging mud cakes that he is scraping off his own body. Any young newcomer wanting fame mostly go the same route which is Hollywood and a music industry until he/she realizes the dark side it encumbers. Any music star today can spend a day with you just recounting their arduous journey filled with multiple betrayals etc. so how about instead of bashing artists like Tom & Nova who turned it around and now make the majority of their songs that help & inspire by sharing what they've been through stop judging and be a tad more grateful. He has a song called Names which is worth the listen. Whether either Tom, Nova or both decide to answer or not is up to them and decide to continue the hate or just pity this sad little gnome.

This came about because of lines Tom said in God mode about Mac bringing up that he destroyed/fried him years ago and ruined his career and made him have a devolve and that he’s carrying this around like a corpse.
