imho to become one with ur shadows is exactly that. Everyone has his/her shadows..and they will always be there until the day u die. If one waits to long to accept them as part of him-/herself, they will create regret and harm him-/herself and others. But if one accept them as part of him-/herself, they become one whole human being with peace inside themselfs
The original demo version was recorded in 1998, but later Jari reworked the song for this album. Even he wasn't sure what the song really meant. "Now I think it is about regret. You are living in the shadows as long as you don’t turn regret into something positive to continue your life"
