Steve gave up everything he had at the time to follow his boyhood dream - to find the Loch Ness Monster. Three decades on he’s still looking but his dream came true. A short documentary following Steve’s journey from his decision to buy a van and leave his home in Dorset and move to the Highlands.

Steve, you are a legend. You may not have ever found Nessie, but your story has inspired people all over the world, that to follow your heart, your passion, and to follow your dreams is a beautiful thing. I tip my hat to you. By the way, I still have the little blue Nessie you very kindly sold to me many years ago. Every time I look at it, I remember how wonderful it is to pursue ones dreams, no matter what others may think.

This man Is definitely an inspiration, legend, ect. All of the documentaries, news shows and more I’ve seen him in you can tell he’s a humble and trustworthy humanitarian, good things do come to good people, sometimes it takes awhile, I feel confident he’ll find whatever is in the Loch when he least expects it.

What a great way to spend your life! Doing what you want and what makes you happy! No getting up in the morning and dreading the day and on your deathbed looking back and without regret and thinking, I had a great life!

Serious Talk: Hundreds of eyewitness accounts, historical records, hundreds of photos, videos that goes back to the 60s, even fossils have been found, people who devoted their lives for it, respected people of a reputation, Tim Dinsdale, Robert Rines, Adrian Shine, there is definitely something down there, whether it is still alive or not, till someone who has enough resources to be able to go down there and figure the whole thing out, Steve remains the only hope

I hate to say it but this guy doesn’t appear to be as he seems. Visited on THREE separate occasions last week and he was nowhere to be seen, caravan/mobile library is derelict - there’s no way he lives there certainly not in recent times. Locals advised that he now has a girlfriend and is no longer committing the time that he once did. Very disappointing as his website nor his Facebook posts indicate that he is no longer actively seeking Nessie nor that he is no longer living by Loch Ness.
