They are legally blind not totally blind, Johnny Winter band brother Edgar was a guest, great to see your appreciation for two of the greatest talents
The Winter brothers are musical geniuses. They both can play multiple instruments. You have to react to Edgar Winter’s ‘Frankenstein’
Johnny was a master Guitar player, so Edgar learned how to play everything else.
The music industry today would have no clue what to do with these guys.
your smile at approximately 4:10 mins sums this song up! :D . keep up the great work my friend! big love to all people :)
Absolute geniuses - role models for Albinos 🔥🧡🔥🧡🔥
Wow! This is first time I've seen them playing live. I didn't even know there were two brothers. These guy are amazingly talented, and what a great band. Thank you Empress for digging this one out.
Just goes to show that when god gives you a gift it can make up for one you didn't receive SING IT BROTHER 👍
Yes Eddie, that’s so true.
Awesome video another great awesome reaction by you again like always thank you so much for sharing your video with us love it Joy.🤗👍
This is a cover of a 1959 song by the Nashville Teens. Johnny was the first non-African American ever inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. The bassist, Tommy Shannon, went on to play with Stevie Ray Vaughn in the 80s. The brothers are albinos, their eyes and skin are very sensitive to the sun and light in general, but they aren't blind. Johnny passed away some time ago, Edgar is in his 70s and currently touring with Ringo Starr.
They weren’t blind, but Johnny was nearly blind by the time he passed. Not sure of Edgar’s condition today.
Edgar Winter plays many instruments.
He does a double drum solo in the song Frankenstein. But that's not all he does.
Edgar's brother Johnny is the one playing the guitar.
There's another with a surprising vocal instrument, that's SRV.
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Johnny Copeland performing Tin Pan Alley.
🤠🏞️🐂
johnny winter is a legend! my favorite slide guitar player
An excellent Choice and reaction! Been lovin these cats since 1972! That smile of yours warm an old boys heart! Thanks sweetie.
They are not blind!
The human voice is an instrument. Not many people can sing like that, today.
I saw the Edgar Winter group (with Rick Derringer on guitar) at a large outdoor concert in 1974 when I was 14.
Great reaction to a great song No they are not blind They are Albino Brothers
Okay, I thought as much. Thank you…
@@EMPRESSJOYJEAN They were legally blind. Both had limited eyesight.Thank you for this video. Please check out Johnny Winter from the Midnight Special.
I saw Johnny at a club in Vermont 30 years ago.
you should look up “johnny winter - medley - rockpalast 1979 live” its one of my favorite performances ever
Love the blues ... wonderful
Wow, thanks for reacting to this one sweetheart!
Darealdeal
Am so glad you enjoyed this! They have extremely poor eyesight and they are extremely light sensitive.
This is grown man (woman) music right here, played by a couple of the best to ever do it.
Classic jam session ! When they got together it was something special !
Gods Blessings be with you !
Johnny was known for his slid guitar playing, considered of one the best, if not the best, two very talented musicians, self-taught. Being albinos, they could not go out in the sun for long periods so they took up music to entertain themselves, Texas blues!
so glad you enjoyed this performance so much. Masterclass in blues groove
I've always liked the Winter brothers. Talent
Gosh! what a unique performance!
Johnny on guitar Edgar on keyboard
Johnny and Edgar had their own groups named after themselves. They also played with each other. Edgar could play a bunch of instruments.
Amazing
Not blind, but people with albinism have light sensitivity.
I love all your reactions, very expressive and it is great to see so many different genres of music! Would love for you to react to "The HU Yuve yuve yu" they blew up 3-4 years ago. I think you will like it, its very unique & uses traditional instruments and "singing" techniques.
Try "Frankenstein ". You'll love it
Very bluesy L.O.L.
T
Hey wer
E not blind just light denditive
Edgar and Johnny Winter are both albinos, which means that they lack pigmentation in their skin, eyes and hair. That causes extreme sensitivity to light, which can result in vision loss from overexposure to light.
They are legally blind
Not blind albino
JOY: I'm 70. Johnny & Edgar's popularity peaked about 40-50 years ago. You ask why this group of musicians doesn't have a band name. Johnny & Edgar Winter didn't play together in most of their public appearances. Nor did they play with the same musicians in this video, if my recollection is correct. So why have a band name for just one or a couple of public performances together? When Michael Jackson didn't have a band name for the musicians he performed with when he no longer performed with his brothers. Same thing. Johnny Winter has been dead for 10 years. The other musicians in this video are probably dead or retired - so their names would be meaningless to me, much less, to you. I bet you didn't even know who Johnny & Edgar were.
what a stupid question!. No, they aren´t.
