  • Make your own extremely cheap and simple piston pump for pumping water using PVC tubing, marbles and a few basic tools. This pump operates without any electricity.
    A building manual is available in dutch:

    Congrats, this is how the Chinese used to build bamboo irrigation pumps and how the typical pumjack (Jaknikker) works. Tubing pumps are quite elegant in their simplicity, and have been the preferred way to bring oil and water to surface everywhere. Thanks for the awesome how-to!

    in post production, if you'll cut out the midrange audio, and just keep the high and low frequencies the audio will be much more discernable when filming in an echochamber

      Video makes me think that PVC primer is a scam. Cause this guy just uses glue.

    it makes a small pump for cleaning bilge water and rain water in small boat and kayak. it fits into small gap while you have a lot of this and that in storage.

    thanks for the info on fitting together pipes, and using marbles and rubber from a tire for the pumpiing action. If I may, you should wear gloves(nitrile) whenever working with any chemicals. they can absorb through the skin and enter your body, similar to sniffing the glue. peace, and safety first

    Would help to have a schematic drawing of the positions of the main valve. Were there two marble valves positioned in the same direction or in opposing directions?

    Hi. Thanks for amazing video. I wonder where can I buy that rotary joint that connects with the drill. I hope I don't need to go to AMsterdam to buy this. Thanks

    When installing this type of pump in a well. How would you secure the "casing" in the bottem of the well?

    hi love the project but does the pump need a lot of service like are there any parts that are susceptible to wear like the marble valve

      If you are pumping water with mud and silt, the tire seals will probably wear out at some point

    Would a PVC cutter work instead of a saw for cutting the PVC?

    • @WOT_utwente
      @WOT_utwente  2 года назад +1

      Hi Tony, a PVC cutter will probably work just fine. Possibly the cuts that only go halfway through the pipe to make the indent might be a bit more challenging with a pvc cutter, as you might overshoot,

      Easy, the parts with the indented shapes go in the direction of the water flow. ✌️

    It’s amazing how many Netherlanders there are making useful creative projects . Particularly water pump projects. Could this be in the DUTCH- DNA - having stolen lands from below sea level . 😉 thanks brother 👣🦘🇦🇺🍻
