I've listened to about every version of this song I can find on RUclips and even though he's my father I can still say that this is the best I've found. Aloha, Evan
there is a posting on ut claiming to be a Gene Krupa band where a "mystery clarinetist"" plays Memories,When Shaows Fall, among other standards, I thouht it might br Bobby Gordon, Garvin Bushel,Jack Maheu,or even Peanuts Hucko, His style must win the award for the most mello horn i the land
Who plays the licorice stick like this today? No one. It's lost, but retrievable through video and recordings like this, and in small currently unknown settings in after-hours bars and bedrooms.
Eddie sounds great. His sound is all his own. I also love this tune and what can be done using it: big band, and small. Thank goodness, you posted this. Thank you, Tom
Your dad plays like Satchmo with a clarinet...I couldn't give a better complement, he couldn't be better. SweeetThanks for everything you do for music EvanJake
That was the only recording I had of my father till about 15 years ago. I was 2 when he made it in 1954. I had one picture and the one album. Now I have so much audio and video and pictures and stories. Love the internet for these kinds of things. Aloha, Evan

Great performance by Mr. Shulman- deserves a million views!
I agree wholeheartedly. (: His stage name was shortened to Shu, I kept Shulman since it's on my Birth Certificate. Aloha, Evan
