he has used very fine mustard...so he is adding fenugreek first before mustard while seasoning...otherwise with regular mustard one has to add methi after mustard .
Chef what is that sambhar powder u sprinkled while frying ....I think two times u added sambhar powder..am I right ..one time while frying and second time while boiling sambhar... Can you please tell me how to prepare sambhar powder u used while frying ..

My favorite hotel. Whenever I go to Kumbakonam, i used to go to Swamimalai for tiffin in this hotel. Their pongal with this sambar is too good.
