A beautiful 'add-on' song for Angel Perfume by Thierry Mugler with Eva Mendes... She sings in da clip, delicately calling out "Windmills of Your Mind" like it's a secret between her and da clouds. She found inspiration by singing da song to herself while preparing for da shoot, and so they incorporated it into da ad. Great idea.. One of da best songz i know.

We were very conflicted wanting to treat the world to as much of gorgeous Eva's beautiful voice as we could within the ever present time constraints. The only way to squeeze more time into the same amount of time is, of course, to increase the tempo. Everything in life is a tradeoff, but we are extremely pleased with the end result.

Eva Mendes should've released this recording as a single. Her interpretation of ''Windmills" is at par with Dusty, Petula, Mathis and other great singers who have sang the song for the past five decades.

There's many versions but the original was sung by Noel Harrison and is available on RUclips, along with versions by Dusty Springfield, Sting and the composer of the music Michel Legrand (in French).
I can't pick a favourite version, but this version is pretty poor compared to the ones I've named.

Beside the Noel Harrison version, I would have to say this is the next and only other version worth listening to. Right here on RUclips you can see the plethora of people who have recorded this song. I like how Eva simply sings it, does not try to add something to it, such as changing the rhythm of the mood. I never knew she could sing, but she certainly does justice to this song!

ALSO NOTED ELSEWHERE: Can find little fault (lyric posted should be: "...on an ever-spinning REEL..."), the orchestration is very appropriate and do enjoy Ms. Mendes' delicate vocal, the pace certainly reminiscent of Noel Harrison's original. Still, despite the understandable time restraints for a product promo, the wonderful verse by the Bergmans that was omitted should be noted:

I enjoyed it and wouldve preferred it more legato.... the melody is repetitive so one must variate the phrasing on each line, almost like an irregular heartbeat, but she’s got superb tone and I’m more in love now than ever
