This was a lot of fun! I always have the hardest time making sims so I’ll often randomize two sims and use genetics to make their kid and play with that sim, or I’ll get a sim off of the gallery and edit them. It takes me hours and hours to make a sim from scratch.

I once met a girl that literally recoiled from the colour purple. I had two pens, a pink and a purple, but the pink one the cartridge(?) was spent so it didn't write. I lent her the purple pen to write in a group card or smth like that and she backed off and said "purple is the colour of death!" glaring like she was offended at me. I blinked twice at her, switched the cartridges in front of her and lent her the pink pen to write with, then switched them back and wrote my part with the purple pen in front of her. She avoided me the rest of the day. She saw me switch the cartridges, she knew she was writing with the one that was in the purple pen, but since the shell holding it was not purple it was fine? Guess there's no arguing superstition. That also reminds me of a gal a few years later that nearly hit me for opening an umbrella indoors, saying I was calling more rain. Without missing a beat I told her that only happened if I held the opened umbrella vertically above my head, but since I was holding it sideways (to shake off the water) it was fine. She paused for a couple seconds then agreed, and didn't bother me again with that. That was some quick thinking on my part, I was proud of that. Lesson here is don't fight superstition, work around it. If you tell someone their superstition is wrong they'll fight tooth and nail to protect it, because by saying their belief is wrong you're also saying _they_ are wrong, and it makes people defensive. If you tell them their superstition is just _incomplete_ they'll be curious, and often accept your explanation. You didn't say they/their beliefs were wrong, you just said they didn't have the whole information, and if there's something a superstitious person hates is feeling they don't have the full information, and at this point you can very helpfuly fill this gap. Manipulative? Perhaps. But superstition and conspiracy work on emotion, not on logic, and it's not your job to "fix" people, your time is better spent elsewhere.
Your last paragraph is really interesting. I’m a very superstitious person about certain things because it’s been the norm for so long and I’ve been trying to get around my superstitions by adding and changing them to fill in the gaps and sometimes it actually works. For example, say the superstition was having to say a special phrase every 10th day as the first thing you say that day and I forgot to say it but whispered something to myself in the morning I could easily say, _well, I whispered rather than talking normally_ and I would let myself off, say the special phrase and I wouldn’t need to stress. Then these own additions soon end up becoming part of the ‘rules’ and you start to get a whole load of exceptions to the ‘rules’ of that superstition. If anyone struggles or stresses about superstitions, I do recommend trying it. It’s not always applicable, but as much as you can, try and adapt the ‘rules’ to wiggle your way out of doing the action wrong. (Side note: The example isn’t a superstition of mine but just an example)

@raindew Generaly speaking, in western society most people would say black is the colour of death because of mourning traditions, while in Asia it's more associated with white, but it varies WILDLY from culture to culture. Which goes to show associating a concept to a colour is culture-specific BS; if death actually had a colour all cultures would associate the same colour with death, because death is a universal constant. Maybe death is actually bright pink, who knows.
Tbh, she has shown me more swatches of furniture and cas items that i never knew was there and i have been playing since 2019 😭 I guess I’m not that observant with the swatches
I've once had a denim jacket that was lined with some warming fabric (don't know the English word for it right now.) So from the outside it looked like a normal denim jacket, but from the inside it was warmer than some of my winter coats where. Especially because of the fur bits on the jacket I just imagine it to be one of those types of things. A regular denim jacket in the winter is a big nope tho 😂

In regards to stories, apparently I'm the kind of player that makes one up on the fly as I'm playing. Usually inspired by something that happens in a save that sends me spiraling into a story. I haven't managed the art of the backstory yet lol.
I’ve recently been going through and giving every sim new makeovers,house by like inside aveline and Simlicy,and new extremely drama filled storylines that are quite shocking and now I can finally do newcrest thanks simsie you do it flawlessly xx

You should do more create a sim videos! They are very cute honestly, I like that you make them obviously without any face overlays and all so it's very nice! The only thing I've noticed the past months is that most of your sims are curvy, which is very nice representation and I like it but I feel like you do it quite a lot so maybe some more diverse body types would be lovely! i like cas hang out :) and it keeps us updated on the save file... i find it entertaining to watch u make up their stories :D
I would love a series of you creating Newcrest which includes the CAS and LORE for the town! You are a great storyteller...bring us on the journey! We want to see the builds, community lots, sims, lore and top it all off with a dramatic LP!!!

You should do more create a sim videos! They are very cute honestly, I like that you make them obviously without any face overlays and all so it's very nice! The only thing I've noticed the past months is that most of your sims are curvy, which is very nice representation and I like it but I feel like you do it quite a lot so maybe some more diverse body types would be lovely! Loved the video anyways as always

You should do some more CAS! I loved hearing you make stories bc I like that too! And you use base game so everyone can download them! :D you could possibly do builds or CAS of basegame + one pack
I’ve started making houses before sims recently ad it’s quite fun. You can design a house and think about them as people and brainstorm stories then bring them to life afterwards
