I'm in the U.S. and we don't have restricted bikes. I've owned a new Ninja 650 with the same motor as the Z650 of course and ridden several Z650s with the Akro exhaust. In each case the Akro exhaust was a bit quicker and best....MUCH SMOOTHER. My Ninja has lots of high frequency, tingly, finger numbing vibrations between 4-6 RPM. However, the Akro exhaust system seems to reduce that substantially. I don't know why, but it does. Also, I"m 5'5" tall and this bike fits me better than any of my previous bikes...and I've had six others. However, I would think that if you are six feet or more then this bike is probably too small for you ergonomically.

I love the look of this bike, and the size, it looks as nimble as a 125. The downside is that they sound like a 125, I'm looking at getting one in the near future but I just can't get passed the awful sound of parallel twins. I think if I do, I'll definitely be looking at getting the performance edition (Not sure if this is just a UK version, but it comes with the Akrapovic and the extras for £1000 more than the standard version) as it sounds slightly better!
She sure does handle well,Nimble as, As for the exhaust an Akra is an awesome addition to this bike,Sounds great and takes some weight off too..hope you enjoy the new bike. Thanks for watching mate.. :)
Tail tidy did not get done, Just a cost issue as if we sell it and they don't want it ,it is a fair cost to remove. Break in?? Yes sure is, The same engine in Zed,Ninja,Versys and EN 650's, Great engine, They even had a class in Isle Of Man where everyone had the same engine and built a bike around it, were getting 230kph + from these...So great motor. Oh- Yes would sound the same.. Thanks for watching mate. :)
Legally it can not be Deredistricted unless it is taken off the LAMS register,To do this you will need a dealer to do it and have it removed form the register.Once it is removed as a LAMS bike i can never be put back on as a LAMS bike.Or you can buy a full powered version from the dealer..If you are not licensed for an r class bike you will be breaking the law and be void of all insurances.. best not to do it ..

I would not say"lost performance" but did not give it a sufficent gain in power, As this model is restricted for our LAMS riders (Learners) it does not allow it to increase, To make it increase the power you would need to de restrict the bike and make in open power bike,then you would see again in power. I can assure you, there is no cure for that parallel twin sound. No exhaust can cure it.
Good vid. Hard break in method? You didn't fit the tail tidy im assuming its easier to put the trader plate on as is.

Sounds quite a bit better than stock imo. Sucks that it's underbelly so you need to do a full system...pretty pricey
