    For anyone newbies looking for how you find Tube-modeled Compression and Hard Limiter... click the arrows in that same box for 1 and 2. Hover over amplitude and compression and you'll find both in the drop down.

    Nice and simple Tyler. The way info should be. There are so many videos that go super deep on all these things; compression, hard limiting, normalisation and loudness levelling (LUFS) and it is a minefield. That's why simple tips like this are so incredibly useful to those of us who like a simple process of levelling out the sound after doing the editing. Thank you.

    Or easier - Open WaveLab, go to its native "plugin" - MultiBand Compressor, select "Vocals" preset and hit "Apply" :D

    Well done! I’ve tried a whole bunch of presets and EQ, but your method is so simple and easy. The sound is excellent. The key is compression and proper loudness. I will sometimes add denoise first if there is noise in background. Then in premier, I don’t add much more.

      @@themdg I asked chatGPT yesterday for 20 minutes: if there's any way to undo changes to an effect (and not undo the whole effect altogether). Pressing ⌘ + Z would always undo the last action in the timeline editing, NOT just the last action within editing of an effect. It eventually told me that it just can't be done in Adobe Audition, which is hard for me to believe. Maybe you know any better?

    Hi Tyler. My husband would like to start to get into videography. We photograph weddings and engagements. We are always asked if we do videography and sometimes, we miss out because people are looking for the package. So we use canon for our cameras. We are looking at the canon xA65 pro 4k. What do you suggest. We do photograph about 8 weddings a year. And 20 engagements a year. Can you suggest something for us? Thank u

    I have been using the auto-match option in the Essential Sound tab in Premiere then putting eq and compression on the audio channel. I like that this method lets me squeeze the dynamics before the level matching and gives me more consistent volume between clips. For speech I generally prefer a slightly quicker attack (5-7ms) and longer release (250-300ms) than the defaults the tube compressor uses for a bit more natural sound. Do you use eq inside of Audition or inside Premiere?

    • @SkullsDev
      @SkullsDev 3 месяца назад

      In my opinion, it is easier to EQ in Premiere because it will allow you to adjust it more.

    Hi! Thank you for the video! Would you use the same process also for wedding videos. For example if you have speeches from different audio sources as well (lav mic + sound board). Would you throw in all the files simultaneously to match loudness ?

    • @tylerherrinton

    is there a way to Match Loudness in Premiere withing ONE CLIP? I have an hour long confernece with multiple speakers that is all over the place. (on mic and off) would this work? I didn't want to have to go and put a bunch of edits in on the time line and treat each one seperately. Using audio gain to "increase all peaks" does not work.

    At first I was wondering why you add the Tube-Modeled Compressor and Limiter filters in Audition when those are available in Premiere, but you answered my question when I got to the part about the Match Loudness setting being only available in Audition. That is exactly what I've been looking for! I hope they add that option to Premiere Pro soon.

    With these cameras costing more than 99% of all iPhones idk why it doesn’t have some form of a security feature. Some camera cost as much as vehicles. But have zero security features. Like can it come with a passcode or sum?! Like somebody could hit a lock on a RED camera and the owner would literally be SOL on an investment that cost as much as a car. 🤦🏾‍♂️

    @tylerherrington When I apply the LUFS it blows my sound out (not using the "right" terminology), suddenly my peaks are in the red, and most of my podcast is in the yellow... What do I do there? To clarify this is on a solo track.

      I have the same question. I am not peaking until I run his TMC and HL and ML. I wonder what his peak amplitude and total RMS Amplitude decibels were prior to running these effects. I wonder if it makes a difference if I've already normalized to -3 db earlier in my effects? It's the first thing I do so I can even hear my recording. (I don't have an audio board to adjust the recording levels.)
