  • I captured Comet Lovejoy at 28 mm, 30 mm, 320 mm and 640 mm so far. I have a few more things to try, so I hope that I'll have a few more clear nights to capture it! See more of my work on my blog at: www.JeffSulliva...

*Comet Lovejoy: 2.5 Hours of Time-lapse Video, 640mm Focal Length*
The video I threw together after shooting last night includes hours captured at 640 mm effective focal length. I can't wait to shoot the comet again tonight!

Wow Jeff Sullivan That was impressive. It was cool to see how it moves in a direction unrelated to the tale angle.

This is beautiful thank you for taking the time to upload this. I see some other stuff flying through also. Would you know what that is? Satellites? Is the space station still up there?

Beautiful, have you any heard any explanations on why it's green? Thank You for sharing.

Thanks. Yes, the green color is energy released from recombining diatomic carbon molecules.

Jeff Sullivan wow that’s amazing how such a specific chemical reaction can be responsible for such a large color display!
Do you think the current comet has the same traits?
Also what’s the song name if I may ask?
