Nice shave Jeffrey! For shavettes I find that if the blade sticks out too far I definitely catch myself on the corners.

Nice shave Jeff, I've found that most blades work well for the most part except Dorcos. I've found that shaving and talking does get better with time, I'm on auto pilot most of the shave except for those more aggressive razors that force me to concentrate more to prevent my face from being pilled off.

Good to see you and your shave! Yeah, with a half DE you really need as much clamping as you can get because those blades are so floppy. I had a weird one where a new soap I was using with a new aluminum razor was causing the razor to skip. I used the razor with one my older favorite soaps yesterday and it worked just fine. I've been wet shaving about as long as you have and that's the first time that's happened. I'm going to have to pick up that Bay Rum and that other one you mentioned, because they both sound like they're right up my alley.

Hey Jeffrey! I had to ask ya if you're lathers made in a smooth bottom bowl match up to textured bottomed bowls? I remember seeing you use several bowls in the past that were smooth...like this one your using in this vid I think? Do you find that you have to lather a certain way with these? The reason I ask is cause I found an old GlassBake soup bowl on EBay that looks cool/retro and it is smooth on the interior...seems to be 2 inches high by 4ish inches wide?...anyway, hope your doing well and are having smooth shaves!
I find that smooth bottom bowls lather quite well. Paul H started out with a red bowl that he had in the kitchen and it has become an icon for him.👍
