Dope controller man! I got the OG Pioneer DDJ-SR in the summer of 2014, my 1st dj controller and a great controller! Now I want to upgrade to a DVS ready controller so I can hook it up to my long neglected technics turntables. I’ve always preferred 2 channel battle style mixers and the same goes for controllers. There’s only 3 controllers in the market that are 2-channel & dvs ready: 1.) Pioneer DDJ-SR2 ($700) 2.) Roland DJ-505 ($650) 3.) Mixars Primo ($550) I’m waiting for all the Mixars Primo RUclips reviews to make my decision but as of now its between the Mixars Primo because of all the cool extra features and the price or the Pioneer DDJ-SR2 because of the quality brand and because it’s an upgrade of the controller I already have & like! :)
Well its much safer and more trustable to buy the DDJ SR2 cause you know things wont go wrong with them. Plus you own the DDJ SR already so the functions are much more familiar to you.
@@julianfernandez2557.... True, true and Pioneer does make quality products! The only thing I don't like about the newer DDJ-SR2 is they took away the crossfader curve dial for some weird reason, my original DDJ-SR has it! I also don't like that they didn't add a location marker on the jog wheel, like having a sticker marking on vinyl... other controllers have that and Pioneer could've added it to the new version DDJ-SR2, that and a longer tempo/pitch slider.... but other than that the DDJ-SR2 is one dope DVS ready 2-channel controller! :) I'm still very curious about the Mixars Primo though and waiting for all the youtube reviews.
@@deejayspark2566 They still sell & manufacture the 2017 Pioneer DDJ-SR2 in 2023, in fact I'm pretty sure it's the oldest controller that pioneer still sales & manufactures, all their other controllers from that time have been replaced by newer & better updated models except for the SR2 which still has the old pioneer controller look with shinny jog wheels, their new controllers don't have that shinny look anymore. I much prefer the new look of their current controllers as well as the newer features.... but I'm still waiting for a mid-level/DVS ready serato controller that will replace the SR/SR2 line, maybe something like their Rekordbox controller the DDJ-800 but for Serato, or a mid-level version of their new Serato entry-level controller DDJ-REV1 (but with a stand-alone mixer & DVS compatibility of course). For some reason Pioneer seems to mainly be producing new & cheap entry-level and new & expensive pro-level controllers for Serato but they've been neglecting the mid-level Serato market since the 2017 DDJ-SR2!
Purchased this controller about 10 months ago. My first controller n I love it. There is only one issue n it can be a major one. 🤨GROUNDING ISSUES🤨 I've found a way to work around it but it is a big pronlem. The jog wheels actually become unresponsive in certain environments (1st floor of a house vs a basement vs outside)
I’ve been having a problem with my controller. My DJ board does not light up after putting a song on. I can’t use my hot cue buttons or anything. Do you know the issue?
Exaaactly I would love a SR3 as a Professional Mid-Level. I started out DJ’ing on the DDJ-SB3 eventually upgraded to the DDJ-REV1 once it released which is my workhorse. I also have the RANE ONE which goes with me to special events, Galas, Weddings, Formals, Hip-Hop events etc. Just added the Numark Party Mix MK2 as my compact practice/traveling unit. But would love a mid-level release from Pioneer w/RBG lighting I would be a player for that device ASAP
@@julianfernandez2557 the RR is nice but with the sr2 I can use serato and rekordbox if I choose to I'd be upgrading from a ddj rb so the flexibility would be nice with the 2 softwares
Thank you for making this video. I just got my Pioneer DJ DDJ-SR2 Controller today. This video was so helpful.
Seems good for quick in and out gigs, I do too many gigs to be lugging turntables anymore
Very nice review!!!! Thanks bro
I have the sb3 man let me tell you I could still rock a party like a Professional

Havent had any issues with it yet. So far im loving it. Will let you know if i do face any issues with it 🙏🏼
Jacques Hudson Never had that occur either. Could be the location/venue has bad grounding not necessarily the controller...
I've had the original DDJ-SR since 2014 and never had any grounding issues either, unless it's only a DDJ-SR2 problem?!
That shouldn't be a problem. If you still have your warranty, I recommend that you replace it
Check your cables
Yea bro nice sounds great
Can you use dj pro with it
Unbelievable they deliver it without hardcase
what software u use for it
where do you get your samples from?
hey bro does it use serato pro ?

it comes with it but only works with the controller.
Which 1 do you guys prefer ddj sb2 or ddj sb3? Please let me know
how you do the son pluss bro is in the time of the video 10.29 im trying to learn it pleas
How do you reset it
I’ve been having a problem with my controller. My DJ board does not light up after putting a song on. I can’t use my hot cue buttons or anything. Do you know the issue?
You’ll have to google how to factory reset the controller and go from there.
You're having this issue when you'r using Serato? If so, make sure your channels aren't set to phono/line.
How is working
Also is this rekordbox compatible
Yes, it is
Still cant believe they havent released a pioneer ddj sr3 with lights on the jogs indicating the track position or with moving jogs or sum shit ?!

привет, а что за ремикс с детскими голосами играл последним в видео?
Dope....
what track you play at 11:00 minutes?
Does ddj sr2 use serato pro
Yes it does use Serato Pro
Nice
Man that's a nice controller I was thinking about the ddj 800 and the 1000 but they got this for under 600 bucks I'm tempted to pick this up
MBF MBF for rekordbox the DDJ-RR will be your best bet. Its exactly like that SR-2 but that is made for rekordbox
@@julianfernandez2557 the RR is nice but with the sr2 I can use serato and rekordbox if I choose to I'd be upgrading from a ddj rb so the flexibility would be nice with the 2 softwares
WHERE IS THE COMPUTER
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Nice, Shame you unboxed it. You would sell it for a lot more one day if you have it unopened in the box.
hey bro i have some question? do you have instagram ?
Djjulianmy
you sold it me sir thanks
Bloody Shoes its a good controller to have
@@julianfernandez2557 after seeing you use it i'm sold
Wowfor $700 it doesn't even have a jog wheel digital display..that is sad.
That's the only thing missing
