  • The general procedure I go through when flying a new F5J model for the first time to insure a successful and safe flight.
    Maiden Pre Flight Check List-
    -Proper CG.
    -Fully charged Transmitter and Flight batteries.
    -Verify all surfaces moving the right directions.
    -Verify trims in all flight modes are zero.
    -Verify all control surfaces hooked up and are solid.
    -Verify correct fail safe settings.
    -Range Test
    Maiden Flight-
    -Initial trimming of all surfaces in all flight modes.
    -Verify CG feels in proper range.
    -Tune flap to elevator compensation.
    -Tune Rudder/Aileron Mix if needed.
    After Successful Maiden Flight-
    -Continue tuning mixes and camber settings as needed.

    Thank you for a very informative view on your maiden flight protocol and methods. It was in language I think most of us could understand. Safe flying, Dave W (United Kingdom)

    How does the rudder not hit the elevator?

    • @flightcomp
      @flightcomp  Год назад

      That would only happen if you used a very long servo arm. As well, servo end points must be adjusted.

    why is your throttle reversed?

    • @flightcomp
      @flightcomp  3 года назад +1

      My throttle is on a slider on the side of the radio. The left stick operates the flaps.
