I’v purchased this head unit it’s the best on the market and I love the best! But got a question... I have a factory rear view camera... how can I keep it? I have a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2015 and the rear cam harness is a C-108 what should I do?
I have the DDX9906XR and when I call hands free the receiver hears his voice echo. When the caller calls me while in the car they also hear their own voice echo. It happens the same with an Iphone or android. I took it back to where I bought it and did some adjustments but the problem wasn't resolved. Ever heard of this issue before?
I got the 9906xr, Its a nice system, my only complaint is that you can't pinch to zoom in. You would think a $900 system would be able to do this. The 720p screen is superb.
I had a Kenwood DDX9906xr Head unit installed a long with a JL XD1000/5V2 Amp My question is if I still need the crossovers for my older Kicker R-13 Tweeters or can I use the Kenwood to Handel the crossover
I've been reading that if you own a Samsung Galaxy S10 running version 10.0 that the wireless mirroring feature no longer works. Is there any workaround for this problem?
The boot up is about 10 seconds, if your using blue tooth it will take about 30 seconds total to connect. If you use android auto wired it is only a few seconds.
We sure can, there will be a new dash panel required and some sub dash modifications, but not an issue. Give me a call when you have a chance 503-667-3690.
I have an 09 Chevy Traverse with Bose, XM radio, factory sub and rear seat entertainment unit. I want to use the 9906, pac audio RP5, and the xm tuner, is there something i can purchase so i can use my factory xm antenna? Or should I use the idata kit......
The pac rp5gm31 will retain xm radio but you would have to use the aux input on the radio and it will only display on the small screen by the gauges and can only be controlled with the steering wheel controls. If you add the Audiovox svx300v1 sat tuner and the pac sat1, you will be able to retain the factory sat antenna and have full control thought the radio. You will also need the pac gmrvd to retain the rear seat entertainment system
Someone told me that if I change my stock infocenter with any not OEM radio I will lose the ability to change the car settings, is that true? One of the radio installation places told me that I will be able to retain all the stock functionalities with this radio. Which one is it? I have a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander GT.

www.metraonline.com/part/AX-MITSUCAM give this a try. You will probably need to drop the voltage to 6 volts. Grab a PAC volt39.

If you use google maps they give you a + & - toggle on the lower right hand side but ya no pinch to zoom.

You still will to keep the cross overs for your components.
Sounds like you want a DSP setup.
I believe the 9906 has gps and a mechanical tilting screen. Thanks for the review.
They both have tilting screens, but the 9906 only has gps if you are using apple carplay or android auto. The 996 has Garmin gps built in.

Unfortunately not to my knowledge. Sorry
You may want to ask this question in a forum such as XDA
A common concern is how long it takes to boot up, and then how long before it can connect to your average android pie phone?

Can your shop install the navigation model (with modifications) to a 2000 Chevy Silverado? I live in the PDX area.

With the two USB inputs, are they specifically one for Apple and one for Android, or are they totally interchangeable? Thanks!
There is one specific for apple its black. Android will work off of either one.
Does this unit come on automatically when the vehicle is started even if it was off when you shut the vehicle off? thanks!
No sir
that's a load of features. is the GPS upgradeable in the future.
You can upgrade the maps using a sd card but garmin does charge a fee.
