BTW: The song was hugely popular in the former USSR. Except that it's last line (not played in Sopot) was banned.

This guy had Hammer pants before there were even Hammer pants !
I remember this was a hit when I was a kid back in 1980 for me.
A Carribean member band formed back in Germany .
The guy has so much energy that I was exhausted just watching this guy back then and even now .
A massive world wide hit back then except in the US .
The guy has passed away now unfortunately .

The guy dancing wasn't actually singing, but the vocals were pre-recorded by the producer.

Bony m himself did not go on stage. The man on stage did not sing. He was just a dancer hwo was mimiking/ using playback.

Yup, the male voice was Frank Farian, the band's producer. A white German guy wouldn't really have fit in with the rest of the cast on stage.

Russia's greatest love machine was based on a true story.
    ...
As in, they still have Rasputin's **** in a museum.
Never mind the rest of him, just his ****.

Yes the mueseum of erotica, but there's no evidence it was his or is what's claimed, two others were debunked, one was a sea cucumber and the other being from a bull.

That's Russia greatest love machine. Digging the parachute pants. I'm not sure why I find this so entertaining. Angel, where do you find this stuff? If I get this song stuck in my head, it's all your fault. All I can say Angel is wow. I'd say wooo. But that's your line.

@@vakhv2493 Indeed -- ABBA, Baccara and Boney M were like the holy trinity back in the day. Mid-1970's, FWIW. Wherever you went where they played music from a tape deck back then, it was a mix of these three or their LP's one after another.

These guys were total fakes , they never sang on any records or performances , they were just a front for a German Producer, who used session musicians, so that he kept most of the money

Rubbish. Liz Mitchell could sing and (for example) she was a former member of The Les Humphries Singers and can be seen in many of their performances on RUclips. You should not believe everything you read. Farian 'made up' the group for sure but he made sure he got a really good singer as the groups core member.
