Ladies and gentlemen, let's cut through the fog of idolization and get to the heart of the matter. Jon Jones, he's a name that reverberates through the halls of MMA like a thunderclap. But before you anoint him as the deity of this sport, let's take a closer look at the man behind the myth. Jon Jones, a man who has let his talents be eclipsed by his own demons. A man who, despite his unparalleled skill and undeniable charisma, has chosen a path littered with deceit and dishonor. You call him a god, but I say he is the shaytan of MMA, a tempter who has lured us into the illusion of greatness tainted by his own flaws. What does it mean to be a god in this sport? To be worshipped, revered, respected? No, it means embodying the spirit of competition, the purity of athleticism, and the honor of a true champion. Jon Jones has chosen shortcuts over integrity, relying on the crutch of performance-enhancing drugs to bolster his already prodigious abilities. Steroids and drugs, they’re not the tools of a god, but the vices of a coward afraid to face his own limits. He’s shattered records, yes, but he’s also shattered the trust of his fans, the respect of his peers, and the sanctity of the sport. His legacy is not one of untainted glory but of squandered potential. Every victory tainted, every achievement shadowed by the whispers of ‘what ifs’ and ‘maybes’. Jon Jones, the man who should have stood as a pillar of greatness, instead stands as a cautionary tale. A man who could have been the embodiment of everything we hold dear in MMA but chose to embody its darkest possibilities instead. He’s not the god of MMA; he’s its shaytan, a figure who reminds us not of what the sport can be, but what it must never become. So, next time you’re tempted to raise him up on a pedestal, remember the foundation it’s built on. A foundation of lies, drugs, and shattered dreams. He’s not the beacon lighting the path to greatness, but the warning sign at the edge of the abyss. Choose to see him for what he truly is, not what you wish him to be.

Jackson actually made Bones work hard for the win. Great fight. Jon Jones is just so good.
If only more fighters could be as humble and real as Jackson after fights they lose. He jus said it as it was, that the guy he fought simply better. Respect for doing that
The respect between the two at the end made me tear up. I love to see two fighters be able to hug and shake hands after getting done with a fight. The blood sports are fun but the respect is rare.
14:04 it’s like he’s playing a game bro that guy is something special.
And also gained the heavyweight title after 3 years out of the game🤯
Fighting Jon is like walking into a woodchipper
14:05 one of the coolest moves I've seen.
That move is called pulling guard and every white belt gets to learn it.
@@blokin5039 I'm not as familiar with grappling, but Jon is the only one I've ever seen use that move in a UFC fight.
@@gigadude6951 It's a standard technique in grappling but Jon did it very smoothly. Like all his other moves.
@@blokin5039 agreed, and cool 😎
@@blokin5039 nah fam u seen that wrong or just dont know better. This isn‘t a simple guard pull. It’s a flying triangle that he set up in just a few secs. Jones clinches Rampage, then Rampage starts throwing uppercuts from the clinch. Jones catches the throwing arm of rampage and creates space which allows him to jump perfectly in triangle position due to his leg over rampages right arm. This is so high IQ man jones is goat
i love the audio mixing back in the day. the crowd is so loud and the commentary is js buried in it i love it. now its opposite all i can hear is the commentary
And 12 years later he's the heavyweight champ, goat.
There really is no fighter in modern history, that can compare with Jones. I think theres such a chasm between what hes done and the next that there isnt a valid argument anymore.
Indeed!!
@@DumbBabydude it’s cuz he fights like it’s a street fight these other fighter rely on movesets and style more than actually just running up on the dude and beating the shit out on him like jones does. The only time he doesn’t is if he thinks the fighter regardless can take the punches then he waits for a opening basically dude is fighting them to death while there fighting to win a match that’s the difference between them no fighter in the mma has realizes that Jon jones is just some normal dude who trained for a bit and won realizes he was good and kept on training but still uses his raw skills to win the matches and uses the talent skills to control the match
And still 🦾
Jones definitely found that “waterfall.” “Become Water.” -Bruce Lee
Rampage was so humble bro. That’s awesome
He got humbled. Totally schooled and stopped.
It’s incredible to see such kindness and love. Thank you all!
jon jones in his prime is without a doubt the baddest of the baddest
every fight starts on the feet, jones be like: hold my cocaine
I'm watching this once again because I'm about to face a very scary situation. I hope I'm gonna nail it the way Jon did here.
How did it go?

Jones probably the only man to come out of a fight vs Jackson so relaxed and calmed 😂
Jon Jones is the GOD of mixed martial arts.
You could have just said he's not God just a good fighter?relax Joel Osteen 😂?@@KeyserSoze23

@@mr.purple250 Stop yapping? Listen, when you have something worth saying, you don’t call it yapping. You call it persuasion, you call it influence. And if you don’t understand the difference, maybe it’s time you start paying attention instead of interrupting.
Wheel kick turned into blocking takedown was insane😮
In this fight, Jon Jones fought his most terrifying fears that he ever had in his mind. After this fight, he was completely free and was never worried about his opponents, he always knew he would win against them.
That gladiator music while showing the fighters is too damn good
Jackson, compared to Jones, looks like he telegraphing every move in slow motion. The last 30 seconds of round one sealed Jackson's loss.
Jon s unpredictable ruthless moves break the psyche of the opponent. He instills fear in their hearts and take their confidence
The Ref was going to break into laughter when the fighters had that staredown.
Prime Jones as different dude. You just had to be there. I’m so glad fights have been immortalized via RUclips & film
Wow you can see rampage was about a quarter of a second from being unconscious and when jon let go he kinda regained life and looked at the ref like “thank you”
Joe Rogan: what is this
2024 fans: you have no idea
Rampage wasn’t letting if fly he had multiple opportunities to bring the fight to Jon but it’s almost like he was fighting to not lose instead of fighting to win, not enough to take on a champion like Jon Jones
I would absolutely shit my pants if I saw rampage looking at me like that
21:29 Why did the Coach remove the Cut Man's work?
Because you cant go back into a fight with a glob of vaseline on your face and it not be seen as an advantage
Looking back the craziest thing about this fight is seeing joe with hair
Whose here after Tik Tok. Jon Jones said he was scared and intimidated of Rampage Jackson but he still performed extremely well.
20:10 is hilarious to me. The way he walks away after trying to shove his head up rampages ass. The look Rampage gives him
I mean this was clearly the most scared Jones probably ever was and in his first title defence. A lot makes sense now
4:05 solid minute of grappling and then an absolute monster elbow. It’s been said a thousand times but it is really crazy what his career could have been if he wasnt his own worst enemy
Rampage was gased by the 2nd round. He had alot of opportunities to counter Jones! Jones made alot of mistakes in this fight. Having his hands down after kicks. Even when he made huge mistakes for a counter rampage didn't do anything. He was definitely in his head
Rushing in on Jon is begging to get taken down. Jon knows his range very well
Rampage was just so surprised on how good jon is. Jon is incredible to watch.
How good the steroids jon jones took were.
