Hello i have Asus X55A its working ok on external display... Display turns on but the picture is geting from black to white slowly... If i change the display picture is black but backlight is working. I dont have another flat cable to try to replace it... What can i check to fix it?... Did this laptop had display on external connector?
Hi, If you have display on external display and problem on lcd/led . you should be looking at lvds connector , flex cable, and lec itself. Check the voltages on lvds connector. with an without connecting lcd. This should be fix your problem.
Greetings, I have a similar model X555LD motherboard with no display problem. But the thing is, I think my soldered ONBOARD RAM is definitely busted. Because, when I power on the device, the RAM chips heat up to 100 degree Celsius which I measured with an infrared thermometer. It is like all of the 19Vx600mA power is dissipating on some of the onboard RAM Chips as they heat up like an "oven". Also (maybe due to proximity to the "oven") the +4GB SODIMM external RAM is also heated to extreme temperatures . Do you think only a BIOS reprogram will solve my issue? I feel really hopeless about this type of "corrupt BIOS - rewrite fix" because something is definitely wrong with the soldered ONBOARD RAM chips. Should I remove the heating chips only with a heat gun, or remove all of them at once? I don't think all of the RAM modules failed at once, eh? Any type of reply is appreciated. I would like to hear your opinion about this. May the peace be with you...
Hi. Greetings , Thanks for your interest. Here is some answers. The Bios programming can not help remove shortage on Faulty Ram. Please look closely near ram for any disfigured caps causing shortage. You can remove the only shorted Ram and install a replacement. Or you could consider disabling the onboard ram.(forum.laboneinside.com/viewtopic.php?t=7265)..
