The University of Washington’s Center for Experiential Learning and Diversity (EXPD) is home to thirteen programs, each of which connects UW undergraduates to expand and enrich their learning through participation in undergraduate research, engagement in community through service learning, volunteering, or leadership, and through scholarship opportunities that support undergraduate work, planning, and applications for post-baccalaureate study and fellowships.
EXPD develops reciprocal partnerships with students, communities, mentors, and faculty, in order to help students take academic risks, actively engage in their own learning, explore the world and their place in it, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their goals.
