Pravus, the red ring is the minimum distance the rocket launcher will fire, there is a much larger outer green ring. Also, they need to be paired with the motion sensors to acquire their target. @@Kookamungaah no it is required to have a target area, without it they dont work at all. all a sensor does, is to power it on, when set to fitting curcit, and an enemy is within range of sensor. it will only fire at enemies within set target area
It's unfortunate that the game isn't finished, but at least it is giving you a leeway to come back to it whenever they are fixing it/adding new content.
Hm... frankly I can see - if the game allows it - to set up some kind of 'permanent rescue operation' - a core crew of 5 or 6 peeps, just collecting other stranded travellers, patch them up and send them on their merry way.
It would be so cool if we could get a game that would allow us to either leave or actually colonise the planet, and if we do that there could be other nearby planets that with research we could build a ship and go colonise those planets 🤔 just a though
@@amirhaikal6672 misunderstood what you were saying but yeah an ending where they choose to stay on the planet would be great, afterall they practically have everything under control and the more people the more under control it will become.
You should create a character who is a jack of all trades. Not too good at everything but skilled enough to build/repair/make higher-than-basic stuff. Then let that buy be the last man out.
Playing this game for the first time in 2024; probs an update to the game but now it shows level 5 is the level where your tamed animals can become controllable in battle. Also I’m seeing hoards of shriekers and everything else while my electric keeps going out randomly so def not as slow paced; my fault for skipping the electric tutorial. Also sent my final survivor on an expedition for more materials, nothing new happened.
Those towers seem...rather usless if they're built into the wall. You'd think the point of them would be to shoot from an elevated position but it seems like enemies can engage in melee with whoever's in the tower. Additionally... Pravus: "We're so stable the game is boring, I wish things would happen to add some excitement." Also Pravus: (After setbacks make things more difficult) Begins dramatically whining.
Another great series Pravus! And you yet again inspired me to spend money, bought this after your first episode. Love games from Haemimont. They could add some more techs and wrinkles and maybe some alternate win conditions but this is a great game. Thank you for spending time playing it and showing it to us. Also, hope you and yours are healthy and well!
Arent we supposedly crashedlanded from some cruise space ship or something? With like tons of escape pods? Maybe some of them turned bandit and thats how we get human enemies.
The missile turrets need you to designate a targetting zone before they can fire, from what I've seen they're not very effective against individual targets, personally I prefer to just have a couple of machinegun turrets and a choke point, I haven't figured out how to use the missile turrets effectively.
Is it possible that the game didn't actually finish because Gimli was still on the planet? For the lols, could we have another episode of evacuating Gimli?
How would you even do that? Gimli can't use the antenna or anything. Unless Pravus has an older save where Emelin is still on the planet and rescue's Gimli instead of her, it ain't going to happen. He basically doomed the dog.
Things the game needs: A greater variance in planet types (gas giant floating rocks, ice world, water world, etc). Multiple floors. Tourism and ditching the idea of being stranded. Automated delegation of certain tasks. Variance in weapons. Bigger starting crews. A variance in flora/fauna. Different cultural styles of buildings. Raider/pirate attacks. Rival cities. Adventuring via exploration (landing in the balloon at sites and searching ir fighting/looting). The ability to build a shuttle to use instead of the balloon. A world map rather than just missions on the horizon. The ability to turn your stranded colony into a city.
Thanks for this series. Your style is very immersive and I watched them all. Was tempted to buy the game but not after this. Seems pretty dumb in so many ways. 1) So detailed, down to building insulation and mental health yet nothing about water supply and management, one of the most important survival ingredient. 2) Really? A space-faring civilization that ignores SOS shipwrecks and at best sends an evacuation pod for ONE person?
aww.. so the game have no 'dig into mountains/underground aspects just.. walls and flimsy wood buildings ? hmm ,well at least it got all the basics it looks like for a rts , turrets , soldiers , walls , gates , towers , ground/air with the fundation of survival city administration/planning hmm. maby i should buy it...
I hate the ending. All that work and NOTHING. And you had to leave Gimli behind. It would have a been a nice easter egg is gimli jumped in the pod with the last person ...
Why does it take so long for the last man standing to get picked up???? Seriously I’m on my last guy, been playing everyday for days now (real time not game time so many f-ing hours of my time) and he’s just not getting picked up. I’m so bored. He has everything he could ever need to survive forever there and there’s nothing left to do. Nothing is breaking, no heat waves, no attacks, I’m just staring at my screen doing nothing. About to lose my mind here. What a huge oversight by the developers. I feel like the game is just wasting my time. If that’s the norm I’ll never play crash landing scenario again. I’ll stick with the other two scenarios instead.

A great foundation that is functional is a very good sign for a fun 3d version of this game style.
Imagine one of the orbital antennas going down and not being able to repair it.

For missiles to work you need to mark target area.
Well, that was a disappointing end.
There is an ending. It shows how many you rescued and summary of the things you did. Food you generated and etc. Maybe you need to rescue the dog too.

I think there's a Desert Map in game actually.
You did a good job at making this game look very linear. Which is something that most sandbox games don't try to do.
Good to see you stuck to the end. :)
I’m not gonna lie I went back to playing Rimworld until the devs make this game mod able and then I believe this game will take off.
