- Stranded: Alien World is a new, Rimworld-style colony manager, where four poor souls have crash landed on an unknown alien world! Our crew will need to brave the elements, scavenge for resources, and survive any hostile wildlife that takes an undue interest in them. Can we find our way back to civilization? Or will we remain marooned forever?

That game feels like someone put a 3D engine on top of Rimworld and said "good enough". The "ate without table" debuff is such a meme that it is impressive that they left it in.
Hey, at least it's got more uniqueness than the half-dozen Banished clones all over the place

I get the rimworld comparison though.
Translates to real life as well. When I am busy in the morning and have to eat in the car then arrive at work... you can see the look on my coworkers collective faces that screams "yeh.. this guy didnt breakfast at a table" - and this effects my charisma for the day.

@@hashimina_ yepp, same thing applies to carpenters, i can't count the number of time clients came to me saying that they don't want what i designed originaly kuz what the architect came up with looks "waaay cooler and modern" only to come crawling back at me to make her what i originaly planed kuz what the architect made it's a useless piece of s***, that only has a cute form and looks good in a ikea display show but it's crap when it has to ACTUALLY holding something and not fall over it's own weight

The fact that you have to observe the everything to get to know what resources you get out of them is really interesting.
Try Subnautica. You have to scan everything you come across for the same reason.
I am 100% here for this game, it looks awesome! Title kind of gave me SMAX vibes and the wildlife being a serious threat is a bit reminiscent though the game is not what I initially expected

This game seems interesting and I can't wait to see more of it.
It sort of reminds me how we have Satisfactory, an HD remake of Factorio, only now we have this game, which is an HD remake of Rimworld.
I love how beautiful this game is. would like to watch this series and see how the game diverges further from rimworld. Oxygen not included is also rimworld like but completely different once you get past the basics.
Definitely want to see a series. Seeing how the game develops is a big help in deciding if I want to spend money on them pretty often.
"Modernizing" RimWorld/DwarfFortress is a great idea.
A lot of people tried expanding or just gaining experience making games with clones that kept the same charming low graphics... but bringing the good of the genre forward and culling the bad (which some do enjoy) is great. We need more games like this.

Each survivor requires a 5x5 space for a bedroom sounds luxurious but it is needed to get rid of the disturbed sleep debuff also place carpets or parquet flooring to remove the cave dweller debuff

Lord Pravus is like 'This game is more like RimWorld - some people may think too much like RimWorld'
The game is like 'Cueing rad RimWorld like Western Soundtrack'
The features are systems are familiar and make it easy enough to make it thru the game, although having Pravus show us his most optimal path maybe makes this game look easier than it is. But it's very beautiful and a playthough that shows off just how well they did the graphic design would keep me watching, hope to see more!
Love watching Pravus play these sort of games. He always makes his settlements look so nice & neat.
This one looks interesting, it's definitely similar to a lot of other games out there, but it seems pretty reasonable mechanics-wise, and it happens to look pretty good, too. Interested to see more.

I very much hope that story generators blow up in the near future. With the steam release of dwarf fortress and games like this in early access I prophesize a bright future for the genre

Man, you had such an easy to build on start. my landing was between mountainous valleys. lots of scrap and trees nearby but not a lot of room to build.
This looks promising. The primary inspiration is quite clear, but it seems that while it very much took it's foundation from Rimworld, it seems to be doing enough of it's own thing both aesthetically and gameplay wise to stand on its own. Curious to see more. The fact that you're encouraged to observe plants and animals to understand what they are is a simple addition that makes perfect sense with the context.
I like this so far. It does remind me of other games but at this point dont they all.

I'm interested in Stranded as a series. My only issue with rimworld was the graphics and I'd be more than happy to accept this as a substitute.
a lil tip if you place beds atleast 3 spaces apart, and make them not walk to close to another bed when people are sleeping you decrease the chances for the disturbed sleep debuff.
Obviously it's a lot like RimWorld but it has enough to feel different..

I am looking forward to seeing this series play out. Also, the guy who got blamed is an architect, so it is only reasonable to suspect he is at fault, not out of maliciousness, but just by being an architect.

I really don't mind Rimworld reskins, it's when they go out of their way to try not be Rimworld and make the player jump through hoops to do simple tasks that annoys me.

Rinworld is one of a kind. But the genre and gamestyle they introduced has been and Will be a genre type. This looks pretty good.

In beginning u should try just getting shelters and beds down do not place storage and let them salvage the ship parts its super fast if they don't have to walk it to storage you'll get food weapons gas electric comps

You mentioned Surviving Mars, but I think this is closer to Surviving the Aftermath - it uses the same sound effects and graphic assets, for instance. Still, a great use of a 3d rimworld clone!

I've been eyeing Rimworld for a long time...this has more eye candy so now I'm eyeing it. Please continue with more episodes. I just wishlisted it on Steam. Hopefully they add the ability to mod the game. I'm still playing Neverwinter Nights from 2002 due to the many great mods.
