After months of work its finally here. Thank you to everyone whose lore/creations/memes/etc are featured, and to System Erasure for making Zero Ranger!

One note, and one theory.
If you beat the game again after destroying the Lotus Jewel on the beginning of time you'll discover the neverending loop of death and suffering has actually come to an end. Unlike Green Orange, the Great Oppressor is not on a genocidal crusade, but on a war of conquest. Whereas on the looped universe your victory was pyrrhic at best, with your ship sustaining critical damage and humanity being eradicated while you were fighting, on the Great Oppressor timeline your ship will return home, with humanity still alive, and your mission complete.
Now, for the theory. I think the reason Despair is destroying manusya is not because it has gone crazy or for revenge. Instead, it's just completing its mission. When manusya created the Primeval Fighter, they gave it only one directive: go out on the stars and eradicate any race that covets the Lotus Jewel. Well, after millennia genociding the universe, there's only one race left that covets the Jewel...
That could almost be considered karma in a way. The Manusya basically wanted to destroy anyone who would want the Lotus Jewel for themselves, failing to see themselves as part of the equation and above everything. Instead, they found themselves at the end of the barrel of the gun they made.
Them shitposts were fantastic. Lore seemed to be mostly accurate with one mistake:
The glowing woman in the intro isn't despair, but a character who failed to destroy the lotus jewel. THE HAIR LENGTH CHANGES DEPENDING ON IF IT'S MIDO OR DORI.
Best prove it in the game's wiki on Miraheze...people will praise the info.
The hair length doesn't change, if you mean the characters during the TLB segment, yeah it does, but the hair length in the intro remains the same whenever it's mido or dori, and: 2 Despairs can't exist, if you fail to stop Primeval Fighter, the space genocide it was tasked for continues and you simply poof away out of existence until everything goes back to Green Orange, we also know already that Primeval Fighter pilot is Despair (And also the fact Erasure does refer directly to her after managing to complete the TLB segment, "And... sorry you had to see my sister like that") so, if we fail, it's impossible that we become the glowing woman in the intro because that means 2 Despairs would exist because there is the one riding Primeval Fighter, and we know that she is despair because she even uses one of her swords from her boss fight in one of the frames we see of the intro, or you can even see the swords impaled onto the ground too
This is like my favorite indie game, of all that there are out there. Thank you for making this video

It's good to see Despair pondering her orbs again. I'm glad I drew that shitpost, it was funny. Good to see it used so well in this video, too. Zeroranger is one of those games you only get to truly experience once in a lifetime. Thank you for your hard work on the video!
Oh... my god. Now the story of Void Stranger (another game of the same developer) makes much more sense. I first finished VS and like me, most people in the community are pretty confused about certain plot points. Nobody even bothered to make the correlation between the two games, since their gameplays are so different, but in reality ZeroRanger provides a lot of context for VS
The way you talk about the story is very clear and understandable, and i love every detail (and shitpost) you included in the video, i've seen a few people being confused about the story of the game after finishing it and i think this video would help a lot to cases like that (or it would also be useful for people who played Void Stranger but don't like shmups that much, although i believe they truly should try at least the ZeroRanger demo), good job!

I appreciate that you made this as the game could use more documentation, but I think you could go right to the spoiler warning and omit the first minute and 15 seconds or so. Realistically most of the people watching this video already know what ZeroRanger is and that it's good.

Also stumbled upon your channel trying to find a way to get to the Void Stranger Eldritch Egg I keep hearing about and was wondering if you knew. Everyone keeps saying to follow the music but that's not working. Regardless, subbed for future stuff on both of my accounts. Appreciate your work!
If you like shoot em up games, or at least would be willing to try one then I'd definitely recommend playing ZeroRanger before watching the video!
As for the egg in void stranger, it can be a little tricky to find since the sound volume doesn't increase a ton. You can try turning your sound really high and see if that helps, but there is an easier way. The sound comes from the egg in a diamond pattern, so if you use that to figure out where the middle path to the egg is then you can simply walk in that direction. For example, find a room where the first sound starts playing, and use that to find the middle edge of the diamond. Hope that helps, if you have any other questions about void stranger or zerorranger lemme know!

I did notice the sound starting but once it starts it sounds absolute, as in all or nothing. It’s super hard to distinguish. I’ll just wonder around in the dark with terrifying music and never find anything/reboot the game

We, as the finns, have not produced that much for you others to enjoy.. But believe me. You need to fucking play this game. Trust me.
I love that everything has the form of a atractive and cute anime girl. The three pilots, the final boss Despair, the most powerful form of the ship in the true final boss and even the true form of the super computer Erasure, they are all pretty anime girls. i love it.
I've played Zero Ranger several, times, but it seems I've missed or forgotten quite a few details. I had been wondering about the third sisters name for a long time. Where did it get mentioned that she is named Renji?
I believe the only confirmation of her name comes from her being referred to as Renji in the game's files. Although, it can be somewhat deduced if you consider the other sisters name's. The Japanese word for green is "midori", which is how we get Mido and Dori who have green hair. While the word for orange is "orenji" which is how we get Renji who has orange hair.
