    Have you considered making a version of your suit hanger with 2 trouser bars? I know I've been seeing the option to have a suit with 2 pairs of pants more often lately.
    In a similar vein, where do you hang your vests?

    I was desperately looking for proper hangers for my sport coats and overcoats.
    All the hangers I could find, where too small for me. My shoulders are pretty wide so are my coats.
    I haven't found anything until I noticed your hangers.
    Unfortunately you are not shipping goods to Greece so I was very unhappy when I noticed that.
    Fortunately I found a Dutch site (distinctly different) that is supplying them to the hole Europe so I bought a good number of them and now all my expensive Tweed coats and Overcoats are not ruined due to not proper hangers.
    Thanks Kirby!

    I am pretty sure that you are wearing a bespoke suit and I notice that the stitching is visible (very visible) along the edge of the lapel. I have seen this on several of your suits. Is this typical of bespoke suits? Am I seeing this wrong?

    Kirby what should I use to Hanger my trousers. I looked at the website and I saw that you had 2 options: the high rise felted Hanger and the clampdown trouser Hanger. Which one is better?

      DANTHEMAN NERF this is a great idea for its own video. I generally recommend either using our Felted Trouser Bar or Clamping Trouser Hanger for dress trousers. The Trouser Clip Hanger is really only appropriate for denim, as it could damage more delicate fabrics.

    I've bought 3 suits hangers, and it seems unfair to my other 4 suits.. so I've placed another order for the rest of the suits and all my shirts with your hangers.

    Hi Kirby, thank you, once a again, for the interesting content. Just a quick question: where are your hangers produced? The USA? And what about the wood, where does it come from?

    Amazing, Kirby! This is such an inspiration and hope to one day have HP hangers in my closet exclusively for my bespoke garments. Greetings from Max in Norway.

    Nice video!! by the way, any idea where one could get body measured for like for hangers and for just to get sized in general, I tried at a clothes laundry shop but they don't measure, I then was thinking of going to a men's suit supplier to get measured but I am hesitant because i don't plan on buying something from the store. So do you have any ideas where one could get professionally measured for a suit, without having to buy from them?

    Kirby, great video, I wash and iron my own shirts what type of hanger do I use to dry them on? Is it okay on your wooden hanger and you said getting shirts back from the cleaners do you starch your shirts . I was told not to use cleaners.

    What is the advantage of a contour hanger over a flat hanger for polos? Would a contour hanger be suitable for dress shirts?

    • @kirbyallison
      @kirbyallison  Год назад

      No real advantage of contoured hangers for a polo shirt. Our Luxury Sweater Hanger has a moderate contour, which helps the short drape better a bit, but it’s really the flocked shoulders and additional support of the 1.15” flare that makes this hanger so great for knit polos.

    I keep on seeing conflicting comments on the hanger sizing Kirby, especially for my new size of US44. In this video you mention that a 17" hanger is too small for a 44, while your sizing guide indicates that it would be the appropriate size. I think even one of your older videos you mention that 17 is the right size for a US 44. Is it truly something which is dependent on the garment as certain size 44 garments will need the 17 while some may have larger shoulders and require the 18.5 inch?

    How does one properly care for hangers and clean them? I recently moved into a home and some wooden hangers were left for us but they are sticky and dirty. Is there regular upkeep required for wooden hangers? Searching the internet and unable to find an answer.

    Question about Allen Edmonds loafers: I am somewhere in between a 9.5 D and a 9 D. Do you have any recommendations for a loafer that might fit me within the price range of 2 to 3 hundred bucks?

    Kirby-I know you have a lot of your clothes professionally laundered but how do you steam or iron your garments (shirts and suits) at home when dry cleaning isn’t an option at the moment? Thanks!

    Are these hangers strictly for suit jackets and blazers or can they be used for peacoats and overcoats/top coats?

    What are your thoughts on Indochino suits? If you are on a budget, is this a good way to go or do you advise otherwhise? MTM suits made in person in a store is more expensive most of the time…

    Hi Kirby. Just came to know about this channel and enjoying it very much. The website is great and I'm looking at making a purchase soon. I have two questions.
    1.Belts: I noticed you don't wear much belts. For those of us who do, how can you possible match belt with a shoe collection like yours. Does the belt have to be the same color or at least in the same neighborhood? It is very difficult to find belts with the same nuances of shoes...
    2.Shirts: saw your closet video. Really nice (and expensive!) shirts. Obligated question though: how do you handle deodorant stains?

    • @kirbyallison
      @kirbyallison  6 лет назад

      Roberto Harrington Thank you for watching our channel!
      Belts: you make a great point, and this is one reason I prefer her not to wear belts. It eliminates the need to match else the shoes. As far as matching belt of shoes, I don’t think that it has to be a perfect match because this can be quite impractical. It would require a matching belt for every pair of shoes. If you had three or five pairs, this would be easy. But with more than 10, 15 20 pairs, it’s impossible. In this case, I think it is just necessary to match the color of your shoes as closely as possible with your belt. Don’t wear a black belt with brown shoes, etc.
      Deodorant Stains: We still a great product for deodorant stains called the wash and stain bar. I recommend pretreating deodorant stains with the wash and stain bar and scrubbing them with a natural bristled brush.

    Kirby, what a great video as always. I have watched your video on how to size the hangers. But how do you determine the wright size with custom garments (custom dress shirts)? I live in the Netherlands, so sending the wrong size back isn't really an option. Hope to hear from you.

    • @kirbyallison
      @kirbyallison  6 лет назад

      Jonne Noorland You just have to go off of your equivalent RTW size. You can also measure existing hangers as a gauge.

    Hi Kirby, Why are raw cedar hangers (no finish) not a good solution?

    • @kirbyallison
      @kirbyallison  6 лет назад

      Robert Pearson I think we discussed this... the problem with Cedar Hanger says that they have to be unfinished in order to be aromatic. Unfinished Hangers can splinter, which could snag fabrics and ruin clothing.

    Hey Kirby,
    I've noticed all of the different hangers for trousers on your website. Can you briefly explain the strengths of each type - specifically the wooden clip, clamping, and bar trouser hangers - so I could best take care of my clothes. Is one better for certain trousers or is it just a matter of personal preference?
    I'm learning more from every upload and thank you for your epic mission toward men's wardrobe perfection.

      TheNunakun I recommend either the Felted Trouser Bar or Clamping Trouser Hanger. Which you use really depends on how much vertical closet space. The Felted Trouser Bar is very efficient with closet space whereas the Clamping Trouser Hanger requires the full length of the trousers.

    • @TheNunakun
      @TheNunakun 6 лет назад

      I see. Didn't realize the clamping hanger calls for that much vertical space. Seems like the felted trouser bar is the best option, not to mention the most gentle! Thanks for the prompt reply. Keep doing your thing Kirby.

    • @kirbyallison
      @kirbyallison  6 лет назад

      TheNunakun Yep. Full vertical length of the trousers... plus some.
