Thanks John for the review. I bought this knife about a year ago, but my grandson liked it so much that I gave it to him. Now I have to get another for myself. Grandson has gotten really good at making fires.

Great review. I have the original version I believe it was called light my fire basically the same knife. It’s attached to one of my camping packs. Love that knife thanks for the review

What an incredible survival camp / hunting knife for the price! The fero rod is an incredible bonus! And obviously doesn’t weigh much! Cheers Dave 🇺🇸 🇸🇪 🇳🇿

I still prefer its precursor, the Light My Fire knife. That combination grind is REALLY hard to beat when it comes to processing game and still being able to carve and baton through wood. I ran out and scored a second one when I found out that it was being discontinued.

Cool! I own a few years old Mora that still runs great haven't got the Spark but looks like a winner. I'm seriously thinking about picking up a TOPS fixed blade next, not "budget" per se, but I do want a solid quality fixed blade, and you did a review several years ago on it.
"TOPS Knives Scandi Woodsman Fixed 3-1/2" 1095 Blade, Green Canvas Micarta Handles, Leather Sheath"
Running about $125.00 there abouts, would you still recommend it? Just curious. I want something about that size too. Other choices I'm opened to is an ESSE and maybe Condor, but I'd really like something USA made, but I'm opened to other things I guess.

My only issue with this knife is that they have no replacement fire steels once its gone.I bought a Mora/Light My Fire and they make replacements for it in different colors,at least they did anyways.

They used to sell a replacement that had the whole butt end attached to it.

I purchased an earlier iteration of this knife which Mora called the " Light My Fire" knife.
It had the same blade material, but I was not that impressed with the fire steel.
It did not produce a large quantity of sparks.
