My only question is for the card Aspirant's Ascent. If your creature already has infect (Glistener Elf) and you then give it toxic 1. When you deal damage, is there a toxic 1 trigger and then a infect damage/poison.
Lets say you already have Glistener on the field and you cast scale up making it a 6/4. Then you target with Aspirant's Ascent giving it +1/+3 flying and toxic 1 now you have a 7/7 infect+toxic creature. So would you do 7 poison from the infect and then 1 extra making it 8 for the toxic 1?
I guess I am trying to ask if it stacks? Only thing confusing to me about it. I have always loved infect but it became obsolete after g-probe ban.
yes! it stacks.
You can give your toxic critters, like a bloated contaminator, infect, with tainted strike.
Necrogen communion a glistener elf even.
Yes, Toxic is a different keyword to Infect, so it will be added to the creature in addition to Infect.
I also like to use *Tamiyo's Safekeeping* in the deck and I also prefer to use *Artful Dodge* (has flashback) , *Slip Through Space* (Draws a card) and *Distortion Strike* (has rebound) to make *Glistener Elf* or *Inkmoth Nexus* unblockable *{::>_

A t1 bolt still kills glistener elf, but countering it usually is effective
So no nobles?
yeah, I played infect a lot (but 5 years ago) and I considered noble hierarch the best starting card
@Alessandro Sparacio same, the noble draws felt so much better and the rotpriest won't do much against the scary stuff like fury and Solitude. Worth giving a try though.
@@corycook9355 Solitude can be rough, but fury is still the big kicker, hard to deal with that much damage
Toxic has got to be my favourite mechanic to have come back, let alone the story implications.
