I want to say to Christian Craighead: Thanks for all the great interviews and solid motivational posts and talks. It has a VERY High Impact (Positive) on many including myself. I also wish you well in all endeavors including your seeking US Citizenship which I know that your deep sense of honor and integrity will add much to our Nation. Welcome Home Sir!
Literally just saw this on the website. I actually kinda like Signature series in a way. More so as an acknowledgement of the individual. For example Craig can’t even own this in his home country. But I see it as an homage to him. Either way I’m 100% buying a Veil Solutions Tomahawk here shortly.
Couple of questions: Is this an only a furniture kit and paint job using standard Son's configuration or does this have unique specs like barrel profile and port size? Does Christian, or a organization of his choice, get any profit from this?
Considering he’s sitting there with him Id say its safe to assume he’s profiting. When it comes to specs I mean everyone has kinda already figured out what works. Its probably exactly what you suspect.
😂you all actually though the 6mm max would take off? Look at firearms history, only rounds made by ammo manufacturers actually last. Never had there been a round made by the firearms producer that has lasted. Just buy a 6mm ARC, made by Hornady. It will be around for several years.
The rarest of pepes. Upper middle class firearms curious individual that wants a complete store bought experience with an appealing aesthetic and doesn't bother considering or worrying about cost or actual value.
Much respect for Christian, my question is does SOLGW produce complete rifles, or do they just assemble rifles from other vendors parts? I can assemble a rifle.
100% assemblers. They don't make anything. Period. Their actual product/service is quality control. Procure the parts, inspect them for tolerances and efficacy then assemble them properly so the finished product doesn't resemble something like PSA's brain damaged chimpanzees put together. Is that worth the premium ? Well... If you can assemble a rifle properly with all the correct tools and supplies, fuck no, not even remotely worth it. Not unless you hate doing it and/or are so busy you can't or won't. Fair warning, my opinions aren't worth shit. .02 cents was generous even before Joeflation.
@@raifsevrence While I get what you're saying, they also doubtlessly have contracts with specific OEMs to make parts to their specs, just like BCM. Nobody would argue a BCM is a bad rifle just because they don't generally make things in house. SOLGW products are often reasonably priced and their warranty is literally the best in the business- The warranty alone makes buying from them worthwhile, even if you could buy the same exact product elsewhere, as is the case with the microbest BCGs.
@@KeterMalkuth They do, yes. At least they say they do. They had Chad Albrecht from SOTOR on their podcast last year. In that episode they addressed a lot of this stuff. Do they get their barrels from Ballistic Advantage ? Yes, but the barrels are made by BA to SOLGW's specs. I specifically list that because it's one of the more common things I see people complain about. I might too regardless of spec etc. For the price of the rifle, I would rather have a Criterion or something else in it than a BA. I don't think SOLGW sells a bad product. In fact, as long as they live up to their mission statement, they might be selling you a better rifle than you could get from a competitor which might be perceived to be in a "higher tier" because they ( purportedly/ostensibly) check every component before they use it and assemble it into a rifle. Even high end stuff can be and sometimes is badly out of spec {cough*KAC*cough*LMT*cough} . Their thing as a company is that very due diligence and expertise to ensure what they send out the door is legit. But, well, I don't personally know. I don't own any of their stuff.
Thanks for the replies, I was just wandering because they sure ask a very high price. For that kind of money one could buy a Geissele or similar for the same dough.
I’m gonna go ahead and be a pain in your ass and say yes, signature guns are normally cringe, but not this one. I just got my hands on one at a certain gun dealer in Georgetown, Texas, courtesy of a super cool guy named Mike. He’s prior service like me. Can you guys please make another run of these? A bunch of us in Georgetown want them. 🇺🇸 ✌🏼
Wow, this guy doesn't have a PC bone in his body. Not only is he getting into the gun culture despite the British government's anti firearms propaganda that they've been aggressively pushing since the late 20th century, but he even added the Rhodie camo to his custom rifle. Every time I come across this man in an expected video he always reveals something about himself that makes me respect him even more. Christian Craighead just goes to show how greater we could all be (including those from the unlikeliest of places) if we grabbed ourselves by the balls and also stopped giving too much of a shit about keeping up appearances and acted more authentically. You can tell that he doesn't give a single shit if liberal people/commieservatives in England think he's a "gun nut" or a "racist". Good on him.
To answer the question probably the most hyped up rifle brand there is id say noveske. Since he shoots staccato pistols. Any brand which is unapologetically American and far right this guy craighead uses unless he gets it for free that’s pretty much it.
Does this come with Armani jeans, balaclava and black beard patch? I understand making money and what not but 2399 for a DI 223 is wild lol. Wasn't his rifle a piston gun?
@@awdobsession717 He talked about it on one of the podcast appearances he made earlier this year. I think it might have been on the Unsubscribe podcast, but I honestly don't remember.
I have a feeling that because they're shooters themselves, they realize there's a high likelihood that people may just end up replacing grip, stock, safeties, triggers, etc. to whatever they want. That being the case, having a uniquely painted Rhodesian inspired magpul grip and stock may be more difficult to sell or put on another, say... all black ar, hypothetically. You and I know good and well that shouldn't matter and they can be painted over, but in the secondhand market most buyers would rather buy brand new than pay extra for cerakoted products they would intend to cover up. As far as the mag goes, again, these rifles are intended for shooters, so having just 1 mag match with 3-6 other mismatched mags on a carrier or belt that will be used in matches or practical use doesn't make much sense as most don't care so much what their mags look like in use, making it more time and supplies to paint mags for every ob1 rifle built. Leaving them as is leaves the owner more options. That's thinking of the customer
Gonna flame out just like all the other rifles you done like this. Garand, Sage, Veil. It’s just an SOLGW rifle. Why anyone would buy one of these when they cost more than a Super Duty, DD, American MFG, or LWRC blows my mind.
Pin and welded muzzle device is a BIG FAIL!!! You should have went with a 16 inch barrel so people could put whatever muzzle device that they wanted on it!!!
Why TF is this not full ambi? How is any company justifying a 2500$ rifle in 2024 that does not come with ambi bolt catch atleat? SOLGW literally collabs with FCD for ambi lower.
