Crazy that this DVD/CD was supposed to be in Buenos Aires, Argentina but didn’t happen in 2001 because of 9/11. The Argentina concert was done in 2005 when Dave reformed the band after disbanding in 2002 because of Dave’s arm injury.
Dave Mustaine was the lead guitarist in Metallica in 1982 to 1983, before he was fired and replaced by Kirk Hammett... he did vocals for Megadeth cos he couldn't find a vocalist for the band to match his intensity.
Jimi Hendrix was a master of guitar, who could sing lead... so was Stevie Ray Vaughn... and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top... Brian May of Queen...
In metal, u got Jeff Waters of Annihilator, who is a fantastic guitarist and vocalist... 🤘🤘🔥🔥
Mustaine wasn't in Metallica. Metallica was in Mustaine.
Finally, more Megadeth. Do what you did with the last few bands and get serious with a lot of their videos. Dave Mustaine. His thrash metal roots. Godfather. Look him up. Incredible song writer and plays solos ALL the time. Although the lead is always virtuoso level as well. Best metal band ever. I love Dave's voice. Perfect for that generation and genre.
BTW those extended solos are only in the Rude Awakening live version not any other version 🤘🏼🤘🏼 on occasion Megadeth goes off script and extends the songs.

Megadeth wouldnt be Megadeth without Dave's vocals. Anything else wouldnt be the same

This song was written about a manipulative woman who was dating a friend of Dave Mustaine. The song does not paint her in the best light. A lot of people like this particular video because of the extended solo part. BTW, Dave did not want to be the singer when he first formed Megadeth, it just worked out that way. This has been said before but Dave was the lead guitarist for Metallica from 1981-83, before he was fired for his actions when drunk. When he formed Megadeth later that year, he had a singer but it is said the guy showed up for band practice wearing mascara and Dave kicked him out of the band.
I just saw them live a few weeks ago. Dave introduced the song by saying this is a song about a ex girlfriend of an ex friend. 😂😂😂

I did some promo work for Megadeth around this time, hung out with them a few times, great bunch of gentlemen.
Watching these videos just makes me say "shut up and play the video!" lol
This is the only line up of the band starting from the Rust In Peace line up that I never saw and it still pains me to this day. Al (on guitar) and Jimmy (on drums) were phenomenal in the band. I'm sure others have mentioned it but Dave was the original lead guitar player for Metallica so playing solos really, really fast has always been his thing since before he took on lead vocal duties. As this song demonstrates really well the singing part honestly only slows him down.
"Vocalists don't usually do guitar solos" ... yeah, but Dave is a guitarist who also sings, not a singer who plays guitar.

The dueling solos aren't part of the original song. Just something done in concert.
