Here is how a prenup will go in court. I see Ms. Wifey states that she was under duress when she signed the prenuptial agreement. MS. Wifey, is this true? Wifey: yes. Judge, I rule that the prenup is dissolved. BIG SMILE on the judge's face and thinking, now I have lots of clearly identified assets I can enrich my client with because the gender bias judge's client is your wife.
@Yomas Riprud You are wrong, i would be the one ASKING for the man to sign the prenup. I am not paying for your baby momma and your 5 kids. LOL Joking aside, females have the same issues finding a man that isn't looking for a jack pot. I made my own money, you made yours and i leave with mine and you leave with yours (plus YOUR bills).
I asked my ex what she thinks about 'prenup' and it initiated the downfall of our relationship. Some people are just idealistic and this is mostly true with women. Its logical for me to protect my assets before the marriage but she has the mentality of "All or nothing". Her words were "why plan for plan B when plan A has not started yet". It may be true... we must devote all our energy to plan A but how will I know if we will actually last and "nasty" divorce wont happen? Family law in my opinion, is biased towards women...
Women tend to want the man they want to marry to go blindly into the marriage, sacrificing everything in the process. They know they stand to gain whether the marriage succeeds or fails because there's so little liability for her if it goes wrong. By signing a prenup that can potentially hold up should it reach a judge's bench, she knows it could weaken her ability to take more wealth in the divorce. My engagement ended a couple years ago because she didn't want a prenuptial. I told her I wouldn't marry her without one. Our stances settled the discussion.
@@t.m.1502 Yes, I'm really grateful. She wanted to leave a teaching career in order to teach zumba and spend money. When she said no to the prenup, it was a hard decision for me but I knew what I had to do, even though I was ready for a spouse and children.
I am a female and i agree with you leaving her. I make my own money, i have my own pensions and investment portfolio. I have been able to achieve a life where i pay cash for everything and only have a mortgage as my only loan. I have zero debt and do not give my children any money (yes i have a great relationship with them). I am a FIRE believer and save 70% of my checks each month so i can retire at 60 (better late than never). I am disgusted with females not taking control of their future and wanting to ride on a males bank account. I am happily married for the second time to a man who is my equal in both pay and wise financial decisions. Neither of us had any debt coming in. We keep everything separate except any join use bills (monthly house, vaca, food, dining out together). If we ever got a divorce, we leave with what we have and split the worth of the house. I did this with my first divorce and i am ashamed of females that treat a marriage as hitting the lottery insead of an equal partnership.
I have a coworker who has been separated for 15 years. He never had kids with his wife but I believe she is on his health insurance. Apparently this happens to avoid the expense of divorce as divorce is costly. They live apart.
My ex called off the wedding two months prior to the date because she refused to sign a prenuptial agreement. I told her there was no way I'd marry her unless a prenup was in place.
@Bronsexual Police Department after that situation then seeing my parents divorce after a 34 year old marriage, my perspective on relationships and marriage has changed drastically, not necessarily for the better. I think because of the high failure rate of marriages, a prenup should be required by the state in order to make breakups less acrimonious and more smooth since it's more likely than not to occur eventually. I believe the only reason to marry nowadays is to not have children born out of wedlock.
If you think househols duties are harder than the stress of working to make a living for the whole household you are NUTS. With all the modern technology household keeping is a breeze and you get all done in one hour a day at most.
Really what's the benefit of becoming legally married when it is essentially a business decision? You're giving someone outside of your autonomy the power to abuse your financial well-being and the health and mental state that results from financial state. It seems like marriage is a nasty relic of an unequal time when women were possessions and you had to be legally promised power through marriage in order to get any autonomy or leg up in the world
Marriage is a "business" where the longer you are married the more powerful your wife's position becomes and the weaker yours will become. A prenup is not worth the paper it is printed on.
Is prenup seen in the bible? Is it of God? Is there any passage that explained why a child of God should go into such contract. Where is the trust in God? Where is your faith in God? Words they say are seeds. Why should a child of God go into prenup agreement when you have Jesus as your anchor? May be it's for those who does not believe that God does not add sorrow to his gift for any of his children. God is God! We must take him by his word.
Doesn’t Jesus speak to that by saying what is Caesar’s belongs to Caesar. What is God’s belongs to God. I don’t think a Pastor would marry you unless the state is involved also.
Tom Allen this passage has nothing to do with marriage, but whos image is on mankind. We are made in the image of God. We belong to God, because we are Jesus Creation.
id sign a prenup if I was handed one no problem no hard feelings you keep the stuff you worked hard for if things don't work out but then again I'm a dude
I am not a dude and i also agree with you. I find it funny that so many comments are only directed towards money hungry females. I can tell you there are just as many men looking for a free ride. Men also have no sense of fiscal responsibility. I pay cash for everything, pay off credit cards every month (rewards), have no loans except mortgage. I have two pensions, and a nice investment portfolio. When i got divorced and started dating, i learned quickly who the men were that thought they were hitting the lottery. It is very easy to see with men. If i had found someone i liked that had issues (kids he gave money to, loans, credit card bills, etc.), i sure would have demanded a prenup. I am not here to pay for YOUR poor life choices with my hard earned money, but then i"m a ChiCK. LOL
Nice video! Seasoned divorce and family law attorney here. Prenuptial agreements are NOT a DIY document. Nearly all of the prenups I have seen that are drafted by non-lawyers are set aside by the courts. Do not get a prenup off of the internet. They are complicated documents that vary widely from jurisdiction o jurisdiction. Some states (for example Pennsylvania) are very prenup friendly and treat properly drafted, properly executed prenups like a valid contract. Other states (and most of the Canadian provinces) allow the judge to modify or set aside a prenup for many reasons. If you think marriage is for you, book a consultation with a family law attorney who has experience drafting prenups in your jurisdiction. Do it BEFORE the wedding invitations are ordered or any non-refundable deposits are paid for a wedding. Prenups can take many weeks to draft, negotiate, and have properly executed. OR don’t get married or cohabitate (in a jurisdiction that recognizes common law marriage). Stay safe out there!
Yes a prenuptial agreement is essential. My sister had made $100,000 . She married a man and after 5 years the marriage ended . He ran off with a new woman and went for half of what she had made . She never signed a pre marital agreement . Girls beware.
Some marriage partners won’t find a prenuptial before marriage to be adequate or nice thing to do before marriage, any thoughts on how to do the prenup in a smooth manner and keeping the romantic atmosphere flowing.
i believe that a prenup would be useless..soon as the wife decides she has done enough to earn and get the house ...her lawyer and the judge will want their percentage of the spoils so the judge will declare the prenup null and void ...the average split would be judge 30%...lawyer 30%..and ex wife 40%..women own the courts gentlemen .dont even bother turning up
I don’t care what Dave Ramsey says I’m getting one.
I actually found 2 videos from him where he says get one.
better than a prenup is to not marry, 70% of failure rate is too high even with a prenup.
Dave Ramsey is generally wrong about everything

Good presentation. MEN, DO NOT MARRY WITHOUT A PRE-NUP... PERIOD!
men do not marry period.
No, just don’t marry at all.

Prenups don't hold up in court. Better to just stay a bachelor.

If a legal document requires a contract to provide security than there is an issue with the law of marriage. Just don't do it simple
Unless of course common law comes into play and it doesn't matter if you're not married.
Thank you that was helpful for my college class!
This video didn't scare me away from the altar. I was scared away from the altar long before seeing this video. Go MGTOW.
very informative, thank you.
How about we just marry without marriage papers? Would assets be subject to division during a divorce?
I was thinking that also.
I think cohabitating laws come into action then.
Very Informative video. 👍
