Absolutely amazing wow my friend, so cool! my Father as a young boy raised pigeon's he had a deep fondness in his story's told me about raising Squabs and his passel, Many years later One of my friend's had a Pigeon named George well some year's latter found out she should of named it Georgina instead as it was no cock lol, when it first seen me it started dinging a little bell ment to signal she wanted her door opened,it flew out to greet me she would gently play in my hair nibbling my earrings with a gentle cooing and cuddle in for hours,trough the 5 year's we developed a love beyond for each other my friend she actually wanted to give me George ...i was so moved but declined as i had 3 small kids.....Sadly about 2 months later My loving Pigeon hen George was taken by a cat that got trough a open window. Sure do Appreciate you PL luv&peace ⚘
This baby which I've named hazel is petras baby she abandonned her fertile eggs a few days before hatch to lay more eggs so perdy my other female has now raised her be an update video soon 😊😋
@@ThePigeonLady isnt it amazing how other birds will step in and help out. I've had one adopted baby and my bird Mango stepped in and took care of it. It was so neat to see.
@@handydandycrafts Sometimes with pigeons they need to be broody or they won't sit on eggs but with perdy I just give her an egg and she pushes it under herself and settles on it perdy doesn't have a mate she bonded to me so when she's hatching I have to take over so she can go take a break 😊😋
@@ThePigeonLady that's a pretty great bird that will do that. It is interesting the difference from one bird breed to the next. I have chickens that are a lot like that, and lovebirds that are quite different and a Conure that is way different. They all have incredible instincts and unique to their breed.
Small pidgeons can go both ways or they just squeak and do nothing to stop you or just try to peek at you with all of their strength as well as wing slaps.
This baby is just squeaking for more food they do this even when full becuz they compete with a nest sibling survival of the strongest and the majority of babies 1 usually dies that's why they lay 2 eggs this babies sibling died even with intervention hand feeding it was alot smaller and was too weak they start to wing slap and beg after 1-2 weeks
