Sorry to know that you found it waste. Will create more videos to improvise 😊
TMJ is the hardest topic in dentistry for me, and you made it look simple! Thank you, and happy Ramadan!
Video was great, no doubt but there was a small mistake
Each temporomandibular joint is classed as a *"ginglymoarthrodial"* joint since it is both a ginglymus (hinging joint) and an arthrodial (sliding) joint. The condyle of the mandible articulates with the temporal bone in the mandibular fossa.
You said its *ginglymodiarthrodial*???
🙏Whenever there is a problem with TMJ or mouth opening, chewing food, you would like to tell you from experience that while eating food, keep equal amount of food on both sides of the tooth inside the mouth and chew it slowly or eat soft food, hard things like Do not use copra, gram, brackish etc., exercise the mouth daily before going to sleep at night and after waking up in the morning and keep taking protein and calcium in the diet and be happy.🙂
I guess tmj is complex joint because it has two articulating surfaces.. But you said it as compound???
though disc is a non ossified bone functionally it act as third bone

very nice video! could you cover cmd and different advanced treatment options also? thanks a lot!
Correction: This is a COMPLEX joint (has an intra articular disc) and not a compound joint (more than 2 bones). other than that great vid!
Hi, though by definition compount joint has more than 2 bones yet TMJ is classified as a compound joint the reason being the articular disk in between that functionally serves as a non ossified bone.
Great presentation thanks. Very to the point. Would love to see more.

Nice...but I think synovial joint's articular surfaces are covered by hyaline cartilage...but here you say fossa is covered by febrocartilage ..or the fossa is called mandibular fossa or articular fossa as I read but you say glenoid fossa..why
the tmj is an atypical synovial joint meaning its covered by fibrocarilage , the glenoid fossa is the whole fossa which she showed then the mandibular fossa is where the head ofthe mandible attaches to bro

Great video! Very explanatory, but isn't it the mandibular fossa and not the glenoid fossa?
Aren't they the same thing?
Oh I have no idea, I'm a student not a critique
Yeah they are the same.
Nice to have you here :)
thank you so much for clearing things up)
Toluwanimi Jegede hi. the glenoid fossa is the same thing as the mandibular fossa. so she's right.
my life is in so scary and painfull cause of this i am so dippressed
+Naveen Garkoti there could be a number of possible causes, this wouldn't be possible without seeing you in real. Its the best idea to consult the doctor.
Muscles of mastcn pls
At 4 :38 it's Glenoid fossa not mandibular fossa
They are the same!
@@DrTeethAcademy they are not same mandibular fossa is between condyle and coronoid processes
The mandibular fossa (glenoid fossa) is an oval depression behind the anterior root of the zygomatic process of temporal bone for the reception of the condyle of the mandible.
@@DrTeethAcademy it's Google explanation ,better try to explain in your words
They're the same. Please share references supporting the fact that they are not the same.
U didn't mention why u devided the lateral ptrygoid into superior &inferior part ???
plz help me I am suffering this pain and I dont know what should i to do.... plz plz plz help ...
+Naveen Garkoti please see a doctor soon. He'll diagnose and provide you suitable treatment. Wish you a speedy recovery 😊
