    Hi Dr.Ryan! You are wonderful in all of your lectures! I myself am a new dental practicioner, I am quite familiar with the anatomy of the TMJ , but sometimes the pathology/ diagnosis of tmj disorders confuses me! Would you suggest any books/articles on the screening process and diagnosis/differencial diagnosis of tmj related conditions and the specific therapy for each?

    Which books or websites do you refer to for your slide prep?

    I thought the stylomandibular ligament was a thickening of the cervical fascia, not the parotid fascia?
    Thanks for the video!

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  3 года назад +1

      You're welcome! The stylomandibular ligament comes from the deep layer of the investing cervical fascia that is adjacent to the parotid gland. It does not technically come from the "parotid fascia" which is the superficial layer of the investing cervical fascia.
