Freaking gorgeous guitar. I have the Epiphone version and it’s such a great guitar, I’m having and issue spending the extra for the Gibson, but looking here,….I’m jealous. Good luck with it.
Got mine in tv yellow. It’s a killer guitar. Sustain for days and when I was playing it on a vox ac15 on a low setting it was extremely responsive and articulate. I could play soft and add accents in. I could dig in and overdrive the amp on volume 2 on a single clean channel only amp without a pedal or overdrive channel, but then just back off and it returns to clean again. I was blown away.
Good pick going with the cherry color. If I get another Gibson this will be my next one. It's light, no neck dive, with a sturdy neck, and the P90's have a great sound all of their own. Plus it comes with a real case. I like how functional it is with a simple utilitarian design. I can see why you picked it. It's the Telecaster of Gibson.
Pretty slick Bradley!!! My only Les Paul is a low end Epiphone but I do enjoy it. Definitely a different animal from a Tele for sure. I hope you enjoy! Cheers!
That’s a killer Gibson Bradley! You’ll get plenty of enjoyment outta that beauty! Hopefully I’ll get to see your first solo with a Peterson pipe hanging out of your mouth lol, seriously very cool and congrats! Thanks for sharing…. Joe
21 Les Paul Classic Cherry Burst for me. LOVE the new axe, Bradley. Look forward to seeing you play er. Perhaps someday when I learn how to actually play I will RUclips myself playing.
This thing is a beast! I'll have a Telecaster again and will always love them, but I'm definitely enjoying the snarl of these p90s. It sounds pretty damn good clean too!
Thanks for a nice video. I’d like to hear you commenting on the tuning stability when you have played it a bit longer and got more thoroughly used to the guitar. Wonder how it stays in tune, how properly are the nut slots filed?
@@80daytripper - I have to say, considering what I had heard about Les Pauls and tuning stability, I have been shocked by how rock solid this has been. I do put a little grease in the nut slots when I change strings, so I'm sure that helps, but it even has my Custom Shop Tele beat, and that thing is about as stable as they come. Maybe I just got lucky, but it has been great.
She’s a beaut Clark! I have the Gibson 2019 double cut LP tribute in black. It’s basically the same guitar without the neck binding and only one tone and one volume knob. QC wise mine is fine. 🤘
See, I want one of those in Vintage Cherry like what you've got there -- but they don't make the Cherry-finished one in a left-handed format. So I have to get TV Yellow... Not that TV Yellow is bad, mind you -- it's a fantastic finish. I'd just prefer the Cherry one. Been saving up for a bit now -- probably got another 3 months or so, then I can buy it. 🙂 In the meantime, I've been living vicariously through RUclipsrs like you, where I can listen to these awesome guitars and pine for the day...
Wow, similar here, replacing Telecaster with Les Paul Special. What do you think about the fatter Les Paul Special neck? Same on weight, wanted a lighter weight one when buying.
Oooo! A 335. Nice! That's the other Gibson that I'd get if I could. There's a definite vanilla aroma coming from the guitar. Whether that's the result of what naturally happens to be in their nitro mix, or purposeful inclusion, I don't know, but it sure smells good!
Cherry is the best. Beautiful guitar. Hey Bradley would you add Cornell & Diehl Midnight Drive to your list of tins to review please!? I cant find a single review on youtube! I think you might find it interesting. Thanks (:
If I can give u a suggestion and I had a lot of junior and specials swipe that bridge with a serious one like the shaller..u will have another guitart on your hands
Oh, I never imagined you with LP guitar! :) Congratulations! I have one Fender MIM Telecaster - I'm playing crunchy and clean stuff with it, and First Act Custom Lola (pretty similar to Gibson LP Custom by sound and feeling but 3 times less expensive and probably not manufactured anymore) - for rhythm and metal riffs, and also planning to buy Ibanez RG370 for solos stuff. It's awesome to have variety in sound, purpose and properties of instruments. I was playing the 3.5K$ Gibson Les Paul for almost three years and, honestly, for me it's not even close to the Fender MIM Telecaster I have now by any quality. It's humble opinion, but I think that Gibson is ridiculously overpriced. Yeah, it's well made, heavy as hell but the price... Omg. I understand why PRS are expensive, but for Gibson I don't know. Branding costs a lot, what can I say? Sorry for clumsy English, I'm trying :D
That's great! It definitely sounds like you'll have all the tones covered for sure! Yeah, the prices are crazy, but at least the Special isn't too bad for what you get. It was about the same as the American Pro series of Fender instruments, at least in the USA. I'm assuming that with import fees, they're a lot more expensive internationally. Your English is good!
Great guitar! The magic of those is working the volume pots.. It can go from clean to screaming just on the guitar.. I love em.
These specials with the binding and the gloss nitro and pearl logo are perfection. What great value too for a life long friend.
Couldn't agree more!
I really like the vintage cherry on this guitar. Looks amazing and sounds great! Cheers
Those specials are great and they're timeless classics.
My TV Yellow Special has been a constant source of inspiration since I was gifted it by my wife last year.
Killer guitars!
Freaking gorgeous guitar. I have the Epiphone version and it’s such a great guitar, I’m having and issue spending the extra for the Gibson, but looking here,….I’m jealous. Good luck with it.
Nothing wrong with the Epi’s bro , trust me.

Mine is crazy loud acoustically too. One of the most resonant electrics I've ever played.

In what way is it the telecaster of Gibson
I own this same model. . . and it sounds HUGE. Since owning it, my Fender guitars feel so emaciated.
Pretty slick Bradley!!! My only Les Paul is a low end Epiphone but I do enjoy it. Definitely a different animal from a Tele for sure. I hope you enjoy! Cheers!

Haha! Thanks for watching!

That would be cool! It would be really fun to see how you progress with it!
Wow thats beautiful!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
She's a beauty! Congrats!
Cheers!
Yoooo man. Congrats. That looks amazing. P90s are my favorite pickups. So much bite to them. That was a good trade I think.
This thing is a beast! I'll have a Telecaster again and will always love them, but I'm definitely enjoying the snarl of these p90s. It sounds pretty damn good clean too!
ABM Germany makes a bell brass fully intonatable wrap around bridge if you want a no compromise wraptail piece
Wish they made it with a tune o matic bridge

Will do! So far, so good, but I'll do an update soon!
@@stuffandthingsyoutube Any chance for this?

A classic beauty thanks for sharing.
My special double cut is very resonant , great to play sound is great ! Who needs a maple cap ?
My next guitar I cannot decide if I want TV yellow or the cherry red!
bravo dude that woodgrain is money

That’s what RUclips is for! Haha! I’m sure you’ll love it once you get it!
Microtech knife? A man of taste lol I know heavy metal isn't your jam, but I'd be interested to see you shred with some wild distortion 🤘
It's actually a Benchmade!
Congratulations!
Thank you!

I like it! It's chunky, but I like that, and I have big hands.
I was gifted a 335 just over a year ago. Owning a real Gibson is really a unique experience. I didn’t think I’d ever own a guitar as nice as that one!
Also I’ve heard that Gibson puts vanilla scent or something in their nitro mixture. Might not be true but it’s a cool thing to imagine.

good choice !
Only thing that beats the new Gibson smell, is a new car. Imagine a new car full of new Gibsons... Gratz!
Haha!
Really good video . Like
Ahh a Gibson..the dark side. (I have a fender tattoo on my forearm so I gotta refer to it that way!) But that LP is a beaut.
Haha! And your user name belies a leaning in the Fender direction as well. :-) Don't worry. There will be more news about telecasters later... ;-)
@@stuffandthingsyoutube 😂 awesome, looking forward!

I just bought a Music City Savvy bridge and new posts for it! I'll be installing it soon!
Can you tell how many pieces your body is? I can't find a seam line on mine, but I also doubt it's a 1 piece body.
It's really hard to tell on mine as well, but it looks like it might be a two-piece, joined right in the middle.

The smell alone is highly addictive
Very true!
Nice guitar man. I have a lawsuit Les Paul and love it. It’s a 70s too.
Very cool!
🤘
Welcome to the Les Paul cult!
👌 nice
Of course this won't have neck dive. That said, I'll never get people's issues with neck dive.
hiyya!!yo-epic . see u around, bro.:))
SEXY AF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don’t seem impressed
Really? I loved it (and still do)!
