- Dwyane Wade is responding after his ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, alleged in a court filing this week that he's trying to "profit" from their transgender daughter Zaya's "name and gender change."
Wade, 40, acknowledged the situation in an Instagram post on Thursday morning, where he began a message, writing, "Since this must be the new way of parenting, I guess I have to address these allegations here, which is a damn shame."

The government needs to set laws for parents exposing their kids while they’re still minors. That child is to young to make drastic decisions like this. There need to be stern rules and regulations when it comes to kids making drastic decisions about their gender. This has to stop.
She was a transgender at 12, even before becoming a teen? Even for 20 years old they do not even know what they want. Their ideas change daily. Please please keep the body intact and you can still get the fame, money and contract you want by not committing some irreversible procedures.
