    About lapping I want share some things just for knowledge, if we provide lap either top or bottom suppose in top portion there's 5 nos of steel and at bottom 5 nos of steel and we give each and every steel we give lap at different places not thinking about tension and compression force, we give 1 steel at 1 MTR other @ 2 MTR and etc so each weather it's a tension zone or compression zone only 1 lap will be there in different zones like if we cut section no matter where we would take only one lap will be there is it a good method practically ?

    You've taken Ld as anchorage length although for end supports Ld+10d is recommended and achievable in this case. The cutting length, according to you, should be =50*25+13000+50*25=15500 mm.
    The number of stirrups should be 130 as we place the first stirrup at 50 mm from the face of the support.

    Column was of 400mm×400mm but during the Cutting Length you substracted cover from 300-40-40=220mm...is it a mistake or kind of adjustment?

    Sir mera 1 question hai.
    Jaise aapne bataya top bars 6.72mtr aur 7.0mtr Lena hai. Hamara bars 12mtrs ka hota hai agar me 12mtr bars se 7 mtr cut karta hu to 5mtr wast ho gaya. Aur 12 mtr se 6.72mtr cut karta hu to 5.28 mtr steel wast ho gaya.mera kehna ye hai ke is tarah steel ka wastage bahut jayada bad jayega?

    Aap ek doubt hi aapne 400 x400 beam size liya hi Development length 50d ke hisaab 900 mm araha hi
    To beam depth 400 hi baki 500 kaise adjustable hi
    Supposed slab height 3m hi beam depth 400
    3 - 0.4 = 2.6 ayega column
    So please explain kijiye

    Sir it is very rare than any house would have 13meter long beam, so your example is not very helpful for house building. Most house beam length are between 3 to 6 meter. if you can provide example for this range, it will be more interesting and helpful. thank you.
    i always thought that the length of Rebar is originally 12 meter, so it is always longer than any beam provided in a house, then why is it still necessary to provide lapping? i just could not understand .

      सर इसमें जो स्टीराप है आप बोल रहे है की जब इसमें बैंड देते है तो bar मे elongation होता है 5*2D का तो इस हिसाब से जो हमारी stirup है उसमे 100mm का elongation हुआ है तो मे यह पूछना चाह रहा हु की किया हमारी bar 100mm खींच (elongate )जाती है यही प्रशन है हमरा की 100mm तो बहुत होता है elongation

    at 6:10 , remaining length that is embedded in column is 900mm, however the depth of the beam is 400mm only , then how to provide that bar ,
    Can we extend that bar beyond the depth of the beam ?
