    I am an electro-mechanical engineer having some experience in civil engg also. But reinforcement is a tough subject for me. I am now constructing my own house. Though I tried to get BBS or estimate for rebars, my supervisors, civil engineers or structural engineers are unable to give me a satisfactory result - they either do not know much or are not willing to work in this manner. In this situation, I am learning the subject through your videos and I hope I will be able to do the BBS and estimate myself, without depending on others. Thank you Mukesh for your sincere work for the sake of technology.

      professional in field specially for individual houses just want to cokie cutting. They will try to silent you with exorbitant stories and then want a free hand. most of the architect or structural or labour contractor are same. The moment you cross check their work they get headache. you got to be lucky to get good one.

    BBS of Slab(Two Way) is Bahuuuth Clear Explanation Hai, but what about the mesh at the four corners; please explain the mesh at the corners with a necessary diagram.

      There is no speicific design for mesh...what he said is that top view looks like a mesh in corners due to the crank portion of bars in both directions meets and hence it appears as a mesh

    G one doubt in calculation of straight bar. Why your not subtract 90degree bend at development length?

    Dear sir,
    in the example you are not extending rods in to other panel or bay of slab member but actually the rods to be extended to other panel and cut length varies depends p on continuous & discontinuous edge . will you post other video for that.Please clarify.

    sir will bottom main crank bar come in bottom at top , but you showed in bottom at top , i felt main bar always comes in tension zone surface and short span

    Hi, Please let me know somethings.
    If i consider the thickness of slab 130mm, Clear cover 25mm, then D=68mm
    Then according to your law cranked bar length become smaller then straight bar.
    Cranked Bar: 5000+(0.42*68*2)+(50*12*2)-(4*12)-(2*2*12) = 6161.12mm
    Straight bar: 5000+(50*12*2)= 6200mm
    if you change the Ld value it don't impact on the length to increase cranked bar length.
    so i see straight bar is less then cracked bar. is that ok?
    if i do anything wrong then please forgive me i am not from civil engineering .

    Mukesh Ji, I have subscribed your channel last month and got fruitful information. I found no information on this - scenario based placement of Bars for better strength in slab(repeat formation after 4 or 5 side bars, not alternate)/beam/columns. Remaining Peaces should be placed at best possible places Bathroom/Kitchen/Rings/Chairs etc. It should be on Paper instead of site. I hope you will act on it. Regards

    Tq sir, but I have one question sir
    In this Crank bar cutting length= use Ld ,But its not applicable for this single span slab sir? Ld length applicable in only continues slab with beam..
    If we applied this Ld in single span it becames steel size longer than size of the slab

    when you deduct bend in crank bar .so why don't deduct in straight bar ??
    Are the straight bar are straight no have bent I mean development length . because the different of straight and crank bar only 2 cm thanks
