I couldn't find all the keybinds to make it work properly and the game gives you zero time to make sure everything works before throwing you into a game. I kinda wish you could spend time in the lobby passively to get a comfortable control layout before throwing you into chaos.
How can i loot items?
I had DESPERATELY tried making this work on my steam deck for a couple hours but to no avail. I feel like an idiot for not even knowing these commands existed at all! THANK YOU!
You need to do some extra steps to get wow to recognize the steamdeck as a controller. There are a bunch of tutorial on RUclips that walk you through it.

The trick is die right in the beginning that way you have the whole match time to set up your bindings. This worked great for me

Quick question, any way to make movement the same in combat as out of combat? Out of combat I FACE whatever direction I point my left stick. Once I go in combat I instead just strafe or walk backwards instead of facing the direction. This is the main thing I need to be able to make this playable for me.

Will this mess up my other key bindings with Console port on the normal Retail Server? or will it be separate?
The key bindings for Plunderstorm, and pretty much all the System settings in Plunderstorm, are completely separate from your Retail server. Updating the key bindings won't affect your retail key bindings at all!

Love this idea but found a few issues playing like this for a few games. Sometimes button presses would stop registering, most commonly being unable to double jump or use the 'item' slot randomly. Being forced to backpedal because of the auto target, and seemingly no way to bind the key to swap which item slot you want to pick up an item in. Also no good way to ping properly. Hopefully Blizzard fixes controllers support for this mode up a bit because the movement and interactions feel very natural! Just needs a few adjustments.
Same here, otherwise its working really well, but the couple of hiccups are not great.
Hello MrGM, Thank you for the guide. I was able to set up fine but my cursor is drifting into my second monitor while playing.. I'm not sure why I am the only person to have this issue. Is there a way to lock the cursor movement with default options to avoid drifting to second monitor? Thank you.
Nvm it is in game settings "lock cursor to window"
Having a bit of an issue with controller. Everything works perfectly fine, but jumping always seems to trigger the second jump immediately, I can't even see the first jumping animation starting. Anyone run into this issue and found a fix? It's not really unplayable this way, but it sure would be nice if everything worked.
I'm trying but i can't find the option to change the interaction button " F " to some button on the control.
You can use the search function on the options menu and just look for "Interact"

Go in the menu, use the search function for "Interact" then keybind it. It's not in the general keybind section for some reason.
How did you connect to your steam deck?
I can't figure out how to bind the loot "Press Tab to cycle slots" thing to anything on the controller :/

Looks like Blizzard is one step closer of bringing wow to consoles, and full controler support pretty much confirms it. I actually cant wait for that to happen, so console owners can join the wow universe as well

Really fun little diversion and I hope bliz will continue to work on this on the back burner as a fun little event during seasonal downtime like now. Controller support, is wow coming to xbox???
Don't think so. But addons to support gamepads were decently popular that the dragonflight client supports gamepads natively.
You have 29 seconds only to set the keybinds and cannot do them before the match,
dude why dont you straight show how to set this on Steam Deck...there are obviously some additional steps needed like was said in comments
I don’t have the mental fortitude to grind the rep for the rewards, the same map, same music, same handful of abilities, everyone’s a pirate, for hundreds of matches ? Absolutely not sorry not for me but I hope some people are enjoying it.
they just made a mobile game, realised it wouldnt do well, so ported it into the PC game and gave it as 'content'

You didn't even include THE most important part in your video. Literally figured it all out on my own except how to loot items. I had to ask the internet and found out how. I am going to do not recommend your channel though and I am not giving you extra views and comments by telling how to do it here. Not everyone should have a youtube channel...
