Reynold Poernomo adalah peserta masterchef Australia yang berasal dari Indonesia yang juga merupakan adik dari juri masterchef Indonesia Arnold Poernomo.
Ia mengikuti ajang masterchef Australia season 12 edisi spesial yang bertajuk "back to win" yang berisi peserta-peserta top 12 dari season-season sebelumnya yang sudah sangat berpengalaman dan banyak yang telah membuka restorannya sendiri. Reynold sendiri sebelumnya merupakan peringkat 4 di season ke-7 yang setelahnya membuka dessert bar KOI di Sydney, Australia.

Reynold is a good addition to the show from production perspective. Hes gonna come up with beautiful dish n u can keep the drama by not winning him. Win win for them.

Reynolds is like your average "Main Character" he may not won but he got the title King of Dessert, got the best compliment that ever come out of Gordon mouth, has a brother that become our master chef judge. He's just everything.

I have watched many MasterChef & other similar shows.
Reynolds Poernomo, to me, is the most outstanding, creative, innovative & able to think out of the box to overcome the challenges where some parts of the food didn't come out right.
I totally salute & respect him.
He didn't give up & rise up to the challenge.
And he's so calm & humble.
This young man will go very far.
He set an example for others to emulate.

Haven’t watched master chef AU for a while. Didn’t know reynold returned as a contestant on master chef. Good to see him again. Tho I wish the old judges were back there. These new judges don’t really give any critical feedback just make unnecessary whistles, sounds , and repeated feedback like“wow” , “great”, “good job” . They don’t really appreciate food to the core

I like the new judges.
They actually do tho, especially when it's bad. Keep in mind that most of the contestants are really good chefs now compared to when they are still competing in their season, hence why most of their dishes are good and requires no further feedback, I mean even Gordon doesn't have much to say and he's their guest judge for a week. These new judges are a joy to have and shows how much they love food, maybe watch the whole season first before giving feedback based on a clip.
This season's contestants are all runner up from before, they all have been in the industry for quite a while now, so there isn't much to complain about.
Been watching AU for a while and while I do think they sometimes fall in some favouritism, it isn't unfounded and it's usually towards people who seem deserving of it.
As for criticality they're very dynamic whenever it needs to be; it's obvious the show is going to a more family friendly route so they have a bubbly persona (obv enough if you look at the ads for the show). However they are critical when needs to be, and it's easy to see in 2021 AU (with a lot of internet-famed cooks), and in 2020 despite some costestant being more seasoned with the competition. They can straight up tell a peron they aren't meant to be in MasterChef.
At least, it's a nicer format if you want your kids to watch too, and quite a bit of the viewers are family-bodies. Just makes better sense while not really losing too much of the show's strategy.

If Reynold writes a cookbook the problem will be meeting demand as the books will fly off the shelves and keeping bookstores stocked will be very difficult. It’s a nice problem to have.

Reynolds's "Moss" was used as a challenge (where he sat as a guest judge) in Season 8. This video where he joins again as a competing chef is Season 12.

Reynold has and always will be the most respectable and creative masterchef contestant for me , I've been seeing many seasons, many contestants and he's the most outstanding one

lol 40-60% of his dishes in s12 were savoury except for the one in the team challenges. He only started making desserts towards the end only bc the theme started going in the conceptual side of food. besides, i don't see any1 complaining abt the other contestants sticking w savoury dishes till the end 💀
They should have a Master Chef for just desserts.
There would be that kind of program by Fall 2023 after MasterChef Australia 2023 (Season 15): Secrets and Surprises thru spin-off program MasterChef: Dessert Masters where 10 amazing pastry chefs will vying for the first ever grand winner on that said spin-off program.
