Thank you Mark for adding EDC items in your reviews. Your humble, down to earth, and smart approach to men's item is a fresh and important one. Edc community can and often is a snobby and excessive one. I believe your edc reviews will give younger men like me great insights to important thing to carry to protect and help our important ones.
OMGosh yes! I love credit card sized gadgets. More please!
Excellent, thank you. I carry a Swiss Card in my wallet for 2 years now. Great tool to have when the need arises.
I’ve been carrying a Swiss Card Classic daily for over 2 years now and I love it. I use a Lost Dutchman Finnigan so it fits nicely in the one roomy compartment together with 6 cards and folded cash. It amazes me just how many times the little tools end up being useful in a pinch.
Love the additional content beyond wallets! Your reviews are always thorough and presented well. I'm personally hoping to see some key organizers in the future, I've currently got the basic keysmart but have been looking at the Bellroy key cover recently.
I carry the nail care version of this card in place of my Compact Victoronix Swiss Army knife when I fly. I have my Rovyvon A8 flash light so I don’t need the lite and the knife is replaced by a rounded tip glass nail file which is allowed by TSA. Also, holding the scissors partway open works well for opening boxes.
I've had a Swisscard Classic for as long as they've been available. I also have a Gerber Dime, Leatherman Squirt and Gerber Suspension. If I had to pick the tool I use the most, it's the Swisscard. I use it every single day and it's 4 credit cards thick. When I'm carrying my Open Sea leather wallets, it fits easily. Without doubt, one of the most amazing pieces of EDC ever made.
I have the SwissCard lite model , I improved it by slipping four neodymium magnets into the empty finger ring of scissor , it can be used to magnetize a pin to make a compass ...
That’s great thinking!
I use the classic. The nail file has a flat head so useful for some small screws. Loose the square flat multi-tool, the magnifying glass and light.
I carry a SMK Rambler on my keychain, and the blade, nail file, scissors and toothpick are the my must haves. You can get these features cheaper in a Classic, but the Rambler gives you a small Phillips screwdriver (which I have only used occasionally); and a bottle cap lifter (which is very small, and I have never used). With the Swiss Card you can always cut your nails with the scissors, but there are times when using a nail file is the better solution for a ragged nail.
Cool, I didn’t know there were wallet multi-tools. I’d definitely be interested in learning more about them even though I already carry a leatherman multi-tool.
Great video Mark. I'm a big multi tool fan and I've bought a few that have turned out to be disappointing. I'd love to see more videos like this and maybe I'll find the multi tool I've been waiting for
Hey Autumn, thanks for the comment. I've been collecting a number of multitools for a top 10 video and I'm always interested in the lesser known one's out there. Can you give me an idea of anything you think is unique or generally not widely known?
@@walletopia Thanks Mark. I've backed something called the Pathfinder on Kickstarter which I hope will be really useful. My daily driver for quite some time now though has been a small Swiss Army Knife with the knife, nail file, Philips screwdriver/bottle opener, scissors and letter opener with a couple of other things I don't really use. It has a pen so only one slot for the toothpick or tweezers, so I have to chop and change the one I think I'll need at any time. For the size it's pretty powerful.
@@walletopia Your watch is sharp. What kind is it?
Excellent video, hope more EDC reviews in the future
I noticed the background music at the beginning... The original walletopia Anthem !
Due top several comments wishing for its return, I've been putting it back in 👍
Interesting review Mark.....that would never fit in My Stelth Areo wallet though.
I would be interested in hearing your opinion on various multi tool cards. I carry either the Lever or the MRF 3.0 Universal.
I have a top 10 multi-tools video coming up :)
@@walletopia did you release this video?
The only time I'm not carrying at least one knife is when I'm not allowed to carry a knife, so the included blade in these cards will always be redundant, or a liability (something to forget about until I'm getting tackled to the ground). That's why I choose the Nailcare, and a small Rovyvon flashlight to supplement the lack of a flashlight in the Nailcare.
Thank you so much
I'd be interested to see the carry kit you mentioned.
EDC Video yes!!
I’d want to add a small bottle opener
Nail file instead of the blade. Light and magnifier are superceded by better functions on cell phones.
Hola. RUclips no me avisa de los vídeos de ustedes. Muy buenos. Estuve compran billeteras de cuero argentino, muy buenas. Saludos
BTW - Victorinox has partnered with Secrid to integrate the Swiss Card into a hard shell push button wallet with a cash band. It's called the Smart Wallet.
Nice, hasn’t heard about this. Looks like an awesome integration. Thanks for the heads up!
Mark, a side question: where is a good place to try and buy Pelican pen? Your pen is timeless classic.
Nice Pelagos 42 👊
I wish it had a way to open bottles... so...this goes with my LeverGear multitool card in My VaultSkin Nottingham. Btw, you can insert the handle of the miniature blade in its holding slot if you need a better handle.
Exactly, miss a bottle opener
Rustico wallet looks good
For light, honestly with most phone, I don't think it is needed. For travelling I would remove knife and scissor, due to airport security. For pin, i am not sure whether it is can be used for sim replacement, if it can not it needs the sim replacement tool or at least small paperclip. I would also prefer to have slot for simcard and microsd, or even sdcard. Tweezer is very good idea there. Pen is useful in a pinch, but not sure on how useful is that writing that form during the flight given the size and I usually use thin neck pouch to hold passport and those long plane tickets, with full size pen there.
Nice video...The one tool that would make this a perfect multitool card would be a bottle opener. I actually tried the multi screwdriver portion of the card to see if it could function as a bottle opener with no success.
That one feature would likely require this to be more metal than plastic. Not a bad way to go, but they figure the bar will open it for you or a table edge can do it 😂
Really love thèse . 😊
My favorite Swiss Army Knife feature is the corkscrew. So what if I've never used it! It's still my favorite.
I feel weary about that knife not being full tang. I wonder how much stress it can handle before the plastic breaks.
Great question! They mark it as a box opener, so I suspect they know and don't want too much pushing on it
@@walletopia Nice! I'm rather surprised that they didn't make one side of the knife blade into a nail file. They could have added another tool with very little work!
LOL. Have a look at what they want for these things on Amazon!!!!!
Missing a bottle opener
I wish there was a nail file that could fit into the knife slot so I could fly without thinking about it. Plus the knife is kind of the least useful feature on it for me since you can cut a lot of things with the scissors and the doohickey on my keys and the knife I carry when I'm not getting on a plane are sturdier and more accessible than the swisscard knife.
The Swisscard nailcare has you covered. It has everything all the other Swisscards have other than the torch and useless knife. It’s nail file is also an upgraded glass file in comparison to the normal one from a multitool they use in the other versions.
It’s by far the best iteration in my humble opinion. Unless you really want a weak LED torch for some reason.
To me, a multi tools supplement a pocket knife, so I don’t really use the compromise knife blade. I’d rather see a nail file in place of the knife. I’m also a minimalist wallet user. My Swisscard is going directly in my pocket with a card pocket with medical information and a handkerchief or bandanna, all laying flat.
Check out the Swisscard Nailcare or mods. You can slip in a cardboard file in the knife slot.
just got one its way way thick... too thick if your wallet is limited on space
replace knife with nailphile and just by regular one
😮
“Burn ants”. Yup! Pretty much that’s what it’ll be used for.
Sad reality this will break in wallet when you put in the butt pocket of your pants. Mine was turned into jigsaw puzzle..😂
How can you review this without using the tools? The pin bend easily and the scissor is hard to use.The magnifier get smudged fast.
Use and review it.
Burn ants, whatever 😂
Wonder if they fit into an xsto card holder , thanks for the video.
