Peace mission - peace returns in DRC North Kivu, UPDF closes in on Abu-Waqus and Sheikh Umar

The commander land forces Lt. Gen. Kayanja Muhanga has assured Congolese of peace in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as the joint forces heightened the offensive against the ADF in all the three sectors under the command of UPDF in the volatile North Kivu province.
Lt.Gen Kayanja Muhanga made these remarks while meeting Congolese chiefs, local committees and residents of Kalivuli-Kaluluma who have resettled in their homes after the return of peace in most areas of North Kivu.
